Close to just about everything. The new ticket doors are easier to use. Nice presence of metro transit and special police officers. This used to have some issues. The station is also close to transfer line ones. Signs are improved also. Today got to ride on one of the older trains. It still works, but isn't as comfortable as the new ones. WMATA is heading in a better direction now. This wasn't always the case. My hope is they do. Times were good. Also the public address system can be understood.

Farragut North is a convenient Metro station in the area. It doesn't seem like it's anything special, except that it's pretty convenient. The best thing about it is the location. It's close to a good park and places to eat. The park usually has food trucks. It serves the Red Line. It's obviously to the north of Farragut Square Park. The station isn't terrible but it's not as good as many others. It's close to another station so you can make a transfer easily. This station isn't quite as good as the other one just because there's not as many Lines. It gets busy with commuters. This is the last stop before downtown, so many people are getting on. It has a couple of exits. Take the K Street exit to head toward the lobbyists and the park. Take the L Street exit to head toward downtown to find good eating and shopping.

Basic Red line station. Elevators worked for my wife luckily. Still figuring the whole metro system but it all seams to work well.

One of the things that impressed me as a visitor to DC is it's amazing Metro system. Stations (and trains) are clean, orderly, well-lit, convenient with clear signage and seemingly safe. For luggage transport and the mobility-challenged, an elevator is typically steps away. The Farragut North station is just steps away from the Mayflower where we stayed at. Escalators made accessing the underground station easy. We took the Red line (transfer to the Orange line at Metro Center one stop away) to the National Mall and Memorial Parks for a day of sightseeing. On our last day we took the Metro Blue Line to the Reagan National airport. The fare was a reasonable $2.50 (Senior discount was not available for out of the visitors).

Underground Metro station in downtown DC. Farragut North (not to be confused with Farragut West) is between Dupont Circle and Metro Center. There are three entrances upstairs and because it's smack dab in the middle of major office buildings, it's a very busy station. Ticket vending machines on the mezzanine level and then a platform level that is an island, i.e., the trains are on both sides. Review #3300

The entry level is a little dirty and unkempt.

Farragut Crossing is an important location for visitors as it's one of the places where the redline meets the orange, silver and blue, somewhat like the Bad Company Song. It may not be the color of the sky I'm told, but this station puts you in the heart of the K Street Connecticut NW business district and is where you'll find Charles Tyrwhitt for proper shirts. My rainbow is overdue but the trains here usually run on time.

Overall a good metro station that is serviced by the red line. There are several entrances and exits for this station depending on where you're accessing the station from. There are staff available to assist and overall the station is pretty clean and well lit once you head towards the exit. The platform itself is well lit in certain areas. The one key advantage compared to its sister Farragaut station there is clear signage directing you to what street exit you're looking to go through.

I wish there was an underground walkway between Farragut West and Farragut North. Would save time for a whole bunch of people!

Dear reader,…read more Franconia Springfield Metro may not be the flashiest station in the system, but it is absolutely one of the better ones to use. It is spacious, easy to navigate, and generally feels far less chaotic than some of the other stations in the area, which is a blessing in itself. Whether you are commuting regularly or just heading into the city for the day, the whole setup makes getting around feel simple and efficient. One of its best qualities is how practical it is. There is plenty of parking, it is easy to access, and it connects well for people coming from different directions, which makes the whole experience feel very civilized by Metro standards. The station also usually feels clean and well maintained, and overall it is just a reliable place to start or end your trip. No great drama here, just a station that does exactly what it needs to do and does it well. In my book, that earns high marks.

I don't know if it is what feels like a grand entrance here with the escalators taking you up from the tunnels or if it just feels like it is adequate in spacing. Something about it just feels grand. To me, as well, this feels like that cleanest of all the stations I have experienced. With it being one of the busiest that is kind of impressive. I really like that once you do exit the station you are right in the middle of everything outside. There is so much to do that this station almost feels like a destination by itself. Knowing that it is only the Red Line might have a bit in making this feel like it is a well run station. There really isn't any transferring here. Dupont Circle is either your destination or starting point. No need to have to run to catch a connection, just go about your business and be on your way.

I didn't know dogs were allowed in the station. I seem to remember reading no dogs...but hey,…read morepeople drink on the train, skip paying the fare...why not animals. Someone will have to clean up after the animal relieves himself somewhere. Naturally coming home I was treated with loud music in the car. Not sure where the special police are at....maybe dunkin. They help alleviate the problem of bums/street people jumping at you demanding money.
