I stumbled upon this beautiful little shop last year when traveling for work. A friend and I were…read morebrowsing a bit for holiday gifts and were greeted by Jane herself! She asked us questions to understand our needs and then showed us products to help. She and the rest of the crew were so warm and friendly! We had a wonderful experience. After using the products at home in CA for a few months, I knew I'd fallen in love. I've placed several orders since my trip last year both for myself and loved ones. Each time I order, I'm shocked by how quickly I receive my products seeing as they have to come all the way across the country to reach me. Each order has had a hand-written personal note from Sophie thanking me for my purchase. So sweet! I also have sent a few emails asking questions or for recommendations and always get a kind, thoughtful and thorough response. It's so different from most commercial businesses and I love it so very much. It's these types of little touches, the extra care and effort, that keep me constantly looking forward to when I can visit again in person. I literally tell everyone I know about my Jane Gee products and experiences because it's beyond amazing every time. AND- my skin has never been so clear and soft! I would give a million stars if I could!

Merriland Farm definitely lived up to the hype. We have heard nothing but good things and were not…read moredisappointed. To start, the mimosa flight was delicious! As was my mom's coffee. For our food, the meat pie was so flavorful and fresh. My mom loved her eggs Benedict, and we split a blueberry pancake which was delicious. The homemade whipped cream and real maple syrup really topped it off great. I NEED to try the blueberry French toast or crepes so we will be back!! My only complaint was how busy it was. We made a reservation and we weren't seated until around 20 minutes after that time slot. Not a big deal, but there's really no good place to stand and we constantly we were in the way of other guests/servers. Anyone trying to walk in quickly left after hearing it was a 1.5 hour wait for a table so reservations are a MUST. We came on a weekend in October. Additionally, the room we were seated in was only heated by one small heater so it was pretty chilly. But totally worth it for the food! Staff was also very attentive and friendly despite how busy it was.

Let's start with the wit. It was clearly pointed out that they were asking for patience as they…read morewere short staffed. We were also told it was a 45minute wait. How could folks complain? Very clear to all customers. we had a waitress named Tracy and she was like a gal on steroids. Tracy was kind but notably fast as lightning but we never felt rushed. We had french toast, scrambled eggs, home fries, two breakfast santana's,!two blueberry/razberry muffins, coffee and tea. Food was fantastic as well as a shout out to Tracy!

I have eaten breakfast here before-it was mediocre. Service was ok, we were pretty much ignored in…read morethe beginning although there were only 3 other people there. I cannot even remember what I got but I remember thinking it was a waste of $. As for the ambiance-it's a fiber with a counter & stools (no tables), it was uncomfortable & freezing inside. Decided to give them a try for lunch, I have read so much about how amazing their fried chicken sandwich is, so I entered that online and see the sandwich is $22...to get fries with that it is another $8.50...ok, I think it's my birthday & my husband and I can split it all so that's only about $15 a piece. Go to put order in and there is an AUTOMATIC 22% gratuity added that cannot be changed or removed. Let me get this straight-ya'll are charging $30.50 for a chicken sandwich and fries (nothing special-no antibiotic free range chicken, probably saline packed chicken from China ‍) AND you think it's ok to tack on 22% tip for LUNCH TAKE OUT???? Sooooo that's $40.56 for a chicken sandwich and fries, tax + tip. ‍ Yeah, no. I would not eat here if they were the last restaurant on earth. I love supporting local, but how greedy can you be?

I'm honestly beyond disappointed with Palace Diner…read more This is the second time in a row I've gone there only to find out they were out of pancakes. At least this time they told me before I waited an hour--but it still meant wasting a ton of time figuring out parking and getting to the restaurant, only to be told they couldn't make one of their most basic menu items. It's especially frustrating because the food is genuinely good. The Lumberjack Breakfast is fantastic, and that's part of why I've made the effort to come back. But the last two visits, they simply couldn't be bothered to make something that's clearly listed on the menu. What really gets me is how simple pancakes are. We're not talking about a complicated, specialty dish with rare ingredients. Pancakes are one of the most basic breakfast staples. The only explanation I can come up with is that they don't want to risk wasting ingredients if they don't sell out. But what does it cost to make a couple of pancakes--maybe a dollar or two? Is it really worth disappointing customers who've taken time out of their day to come eat there? Great food doesn't matter much if you can't reliably order what's on the menu. After two strikes, I'm not sure I'll be giving them a third chance.
