We haven't come here in 6 months and now we remember why. It took over an hour for us to get three waffles. The waitress never came by to see if we would like a refill of coffee or if we would like an additional beverage while we waited. She also never took away the empty coffee cup which was just in the way. Then they charge a 20% gratuity on all bills for the holiday, which is fine but we present. They also charge a 3.5% credit card fee. You are better off going anywhere else because you will turn into dust waiting for your food. And then they will charge you a fee for that as well. read more

It was a very mid meal. I LOVE farmhouse and have been to other locations but this was my first time here. I ordered one of the tea pots which was beautiful and flavorful. As for food I was stuck. I always get the seafood Cobb which I love but decided to try something else. With the servers suggestion I ordered the honey shrimp. The sauce was the best part. Sweet, coated the shrimp well, but not too sticky. They were out of rice and for my friends dish they were out of the vegan batter for waffles. Surprising on a Friday evening. And my dish came with asparagus which texturally were so hard to cut through I had to just pop the whole thing in my mouth. All in all wish I stuck with the seafood Cobb because this dish was fine, non memorable. To end on a positive note, the cornbread was fantastic. We love to order that one! read more

My friends and I had visited the Main Street location a couple days prior to this visit and had a great experience. Not sure if we came in on an off day or what but we were disappointed with this location. Our biscuits were forgotten and the short rib omelette was a lot different than the other location- it was more chunky than shredded. The potatoes tasted a lot different as well. On the positive side, our coffees and teas were good but we will stick with the Main Street location next time. read more

This was our 2nd attempt visiting FB. 1st time we wanted takeout but they were super busy with a big party and wouldn't accommodate our order in a timely manner (think hungry ppl and having to wait 45m). So we tried the next day and it was pleasant. I had the vegan smash burger! It arrived without pickles and onions, which I wanted but however never made it. Anyway, the pickles were brought out separately and I ate my burger. It was good. There were 2 patties which I wasn't expecting and also a surprise as I took the other to go . Looking for a cute little brunch spot while visiting the Jim Thorpe/Pocono area, and happened upon this gem. It's a bit small, and can seat a small number of patrons, but the food is definitely worth the wait. Amish fresh eggs, farm to table ingredients, and cooked fresh when you order. My girlfriends and I walked in and were told there was a 45 minute wait. We had no other prospects, so we put our name on the waitlist. There were 4 tables empty, so we went with it. 15 minutes later, we were seated. Tables still empty, so we could have been seated sooner. We placed our order and sat and talked, and watched food come out from the kitchen to other tables. The chicken and waffles, deconstructed charcuterie board, and coffees we saw looked amazing. We ordered the southern breakfast, the farmhouse breakfast, and the I'm too sexy omelette. All were cooked to perfection, and the freshest eggs we've ever eaten. Definitely a must try! Decided to try a new place for our Anniversary breakfast and we were very satisfied. No wait because we were the first ones there at 9am. Our waitress Angel was very nice. We Chose a Mimosa flight of 4 despite the cost since it was a special occasion. While they were quite tasty and impressive looking, there was not a large difference between the flavors. Our food was prepared fresh and served quickly. The selections were interesting, not just your typical bacon and eggs or pancakes. The homemade hot sauce was very tasty, not overly hot but just enough spice to add a little kick. We bought a bottle to take home. We will be back to try some of the other offerings. The Blakeslee location is somewhat inconsistent with how the food is prepared. I ordered the Love Me Tenders, and they were overcooked. Tenders weren't "Tender" at all the way they should have been cooked. Hard, and left to cook tooo long, and the fries were the same. They can be a hit (or) miss, depending upon who's cooking that particular day. Would have done better going to KFC today...... Very disappointing when you're looking for good food to satisfy your hunger on your Anniversary. read more

We've been loyal Farmhouse customers for years, but lately the Blakeslee location has been a letdown. The food is fantastic, and the cocktails are some of the best anywhere--but the kitchen is a disaster. Our most recent visit was the breaking point: over 2.5 hours to get avocado toast, eggs, and waffles. That's not just slow, it's ridiculous. The wait staff is doing their best, but the kitchen can't keep up, and this has been an ongoing pattern every time we've come in--each visit slower than the last. It's frustrating when you can drive to another Farmhouse location, enjoy your meal, and get home faster than it takes to get served here. The vibe is great, but until the owners fix the kitchen, we won't be back to Blakeslee read more

The good: the food quality, recipes, presentation of food. The place is adorable. The bad, 1) wait times were ridiculous given there was two to three occupied tables besides us for the whole visit. We were there during the slow period between lunch and dinner. It actually took way longer to order than the wait for the food, which after that long, we were so glad. 2) If you are out of a MAIN ingredient , and one that's in many of your dishes, and you take forever to take somebody's order, give the person a heads up of what you're out of when you hand them the menu so they don't waste their time and then have to start looking all over again, once they find out. 3) The prices, very high. Too high. 4) Sneaky fees, unmentioned until the check arrives. I obviously heard of the credit card fee, (3.5%) which was pre-added to the bill, the 'supply temp charge' (3%) with the bill just handed to me with no explanation of what that extra charge was. I don't like having to be forced into the position where I have to question something on the bill, but I had to. When I did, I was told 'oh I can take that off because you didn't have anything with eggs'. Really? Then why was it on there to begin with? I have to assume it would've stayed on there, had I not asked. If that's not true., then let people know upfront about it and don't be shady. Note: you should have dill pickles as an option. Bread and butter or sweet pickles are an odd choice as your only pickle. To wrap up... if $ is no object, you don't mind slow service and mystery fees, the food is pretty good. I will leave this one for the tourists. One additional note : as a restaurant that has a vegan section in the menu, the decor doesn't actually make anyone that's vegan feel comfortable. (Antler scone lamps and a bust of a big Buck on the wall). I have family that are vegan and I cannot see them feeling comfortable here. read more

Amazing food and drinks, and excellent service! We had the apple fritter waffles and they were amazingly delicious. Soft, perfectly made and the sugar cinnamon glaze gave the perfect touch. Farmhouse has been in the neighborhood for about 10 months. When they were first here, they were absolutely fabulous. Their menu is the same, but the chefs may be different and definitely the time for preparation to serve you. A fabulous meal has taken a step down. Food and service great as usual. However, they charge for use of a debit card. When I questioned it I was told by woman at register "it's PA law".I responded it is not. Businesses can charge for credit card but not for debit card. It actually is illegal and goes against PA Consumer Protection Laws. Adorable place. Delicious food. We ate there twice over 2 days about a month ago---a breakfast and a dinner. All four of us loved our food. The lobster salad was great.
