There was no getting around that, short of driving to a location to speak with someone. Finally I called my dealership and asked who they were using for windshield replacements. They told me AutoSpecs Glass in Irving. I called. A live person answered the phone. I believe her name was Hannah (please forgive me if I got that wrong). She was Very nice. Answered all my questions and set an appointment for me. Then I needed to reset the appt and she was able to get me in the very next day. The place was not that hard to get to and there was a nice seating area for me to wait. Yes, it can take a few hours - I knew that ahead of time and brought my work with me. Less than three hours later, a young man came in to talk with me about my car, what to expect and what not to do. Then, I was driving away with my brand new windshield. Also, while I was there, someone who had had window and windshield repair done on one of his fleet vehicles, came in to discuss a minor problem with a side window. Imemdiately they took care of the problem and did not charge him. Excellent customer service. And did I mention, the pricing was MUCH better than the other places closer to my home in Plano. MUCH better and yes, it's exactly the same windshiled. Especially since my stupid insurance company has a $500 deductible for windshield replacement so I was paying out of pocket.
