I received a letter in the mail advertising an insurance renewal rate and telling me that if I was…read morepaying more than this amount I was paying too much. I was paying too much, so called for the advertised $2008.10 renewal premium advertised in the personalized letter with a photo of my property included. When I called, it cost me 20 minutes of my life, for the quote to come back at over $14,000 - far higher than my current policy. This was nothing but a pure bait-and-switch fraud and it's not possible that their letter was based in reality given what they said the real numbers were. They also didn't state anywhere on the letter that they were solely an Allstate agency, or that they had anything to do with Allstate. Had it said so, I wouldn't have bothered calling at all. Total hoax all around.

For less than $100 a year, AAA offers great roadside assistance, nice perks, and peace of mind. For auto or home insurance in Texas, look elsewhere.
