Best apple donuts I've ever had! And the apple gummies in the farm store are amazing. My wife and I had a great time apple picking two.

I'm a big Farmer Dave's fan and have been for years! We were first introduced to them by a friend we shared a share with. It was absolutely fabulous to get a massive amount of fresh vegetables each week delivered in the CSA. Then we visited the farm in Dracut and did some apple, potato and berry picking. Then their new Farm Stand openned and we are regulars there! The team is fantastic. The farm stand has a great selection of their own product, but also giving a nod to other local producers. The farm and stand is so pretty. I visit as often as I can. 10/10 would recommend! read more

I just left farmer Dave's and when I got home I cut open a melon I purchased they melon was not good and I sent a message to the farm they were so awesome and refunded my card immediately with an apology. That is incredible service. Kudos to you farmer Dave read more

I recently received outstanding service at Farmer Dave's. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive to detail read more

I stumbled across Farmer Dave's while looking for Brox farm. It seems to be a very professionally run, large farm stand, with employees stocking the whole time I was there, and plenty of selection albeit high priced. I guess a dollar per ear of corn is the standard nowadays. It definitely had more of a whole foods vibe versus a local farm stand. I bought some tomatoes and a bag of their cookies which they claim to bake on premises, but the list of ingredients on the bag was extensive and pretty horrifying (hydrogenated oils? Mono and diglycerides?). They may BAKE the cookies on site, but I am guessing they get the raw dough elsewhere. That was kind of a bummer, and I should have read the ingredients before purchasing. Just assumed they were wholesome. Tomatoes were excellent though, so I guess I'll just stick to their produce. read more

Hands-down the best CSA ever, both for late fall and late spring/summer. I will always be a customer! Great variety, and the produce is so fresh. They deliver to a bunch of areas so it's very convenient, and the staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. You can also do add-ons such as honey and maple syrup, which I've done few times and it's totally worth it. The pricing of the CSAs I found to be very reasonable, and you get a ton for your money, way more than in other CSAs I've done -- the small share could easily feed three people so they're quite generous. Looking forward to visiting the farm soon! read more

I stopped getting my shares from Farmer Dave. His prices a pretty high for one person, and most of what he puts into the box I don't eat... where I go now they read what I can have in my box and if I don't like something they replace it with what I want....Sorry Farmer Dave! read more

This is the best CSA I have ever belonged to. Plentiful boxes each week, great variety, a lot of new and exciting veggies. The watermelon I got in my summer fruit share was exquisite - I didn't know watermelon could taste so good. read more

This has been my first summer joining Farmer Dave's CSA and I couldn't be happier with my decision! We are a household of 2 adults and have a small vegetable share for the season. Everything we have gotten in our crates have been fresh, flavorful, and treated with care in the preparation. We have had such a fun time exploring our crate each week and look forward to each week's offerings. Could not recommend more! read more

Masks are not mandated at this store. There are other locals farms near by. Their produce is fine but I'm not willing to risk my life for that. read more

We love Farmer Dave's produce! My husband and I have been ordering from Farmer Dave for 3 years, and every week we marvel at the food. We have ordered the spring and summer veggie shares and find them to be fresh, crisp, delicious and long-lasting. The tomatoes are life altering. We have also used Metro Pedal Power and love their customer service and communication. I hope to make it to the farm this summer or try some fruit! read more

We've done a few different CSA farm shares over the past decade in Cambridge & Somerville. Farmer Dave's is by far the best and we have stopped trying new ones. Delicious and a large variety each week, with the most generous portions of any CSA we have tried. Customer service has been friendly the few times we've had a question. Weekly add-ons are great--usually grab a bushel of tomatoes to can at least once a season. Join them if you can. read more

Can't say enough good things about this local farm and Farmer Dave, a Dracut native who grew up in the area. Farmer Dave who grows a wide variety of fresh items from strawberries to apples, has 2 farm stands and the CSA which delivers to many towns in the are and as far south as Quincy. We have been getting the CSA share for a few years now and we get a large amount of veggies that we share with our friends. In the Fall we go apple picking at 437 Parker Road. They have the best Apples around! Great Food and even better Farmer and staff! read more

I've not even gotten my food yet, but I've already got great reason to rave - I sent them an e-mail querying breaking down payments, and within a half hour got a friendly helpful e-mail back. They swiftly and politely worked with me through a chain of e-mails to make something work. Customer Service A++ read more

I'm a three year subscriber to the CSA and couldn't be happier. The quality and quantity of the produce is excellent and the process to pickup very convenient. Farmer Dave's is very responsive to what customers want in terms of fruits and vegetables and changes year over year. The fruit is delicious (peaches, berries, apples are the lion's sharebut plums, pears, melons are also grown). The vegetables are a good diverse mix of everything and all delicious. Also, I appreciate not having to give up my Saturdays to drive to the farm; instead there are convenient weekday pickup locations at various sites. I have and will continue to recommend them to my friends. read more

Visited the Orchard Hill location in Westford today and encountered a wonderful staff who were pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable. The vegetables were wonderfully fresh and will definitely make this my go to for farm fresh food. read more

Farmer Dave runs an awesome CSA. I have been a member for 3 years. The veggies are fresh. Some will not last as long as store bought because they are fresh. They do not have any yucky chemicals on them to keep them fresh longer. Also, they are picked ripe. I didn't know I liked some veggies until I had them fresh like beets! Have you ever eaten raw corn on the cob? I have, after a suggestion in the newsletter. Picked it up in the afternoon from the farm, and ate it when I got home. It was so sweet and tender and juicy! The people who work here are also customers, not just employees. They have suggestions on how to cook, prepare, or eat the 'mystery' vegetables. I have always been impressed by how nice the office managers are especially when it comes to payments. Picking up at the farm lets my son see the goats. He has grown up on Farmer Dave's veggies, and loves to eat his veggies. If you pick up other than the farm, you can still arrange to come see the farm, and where the food is grown. We took a tour with other CSA members and Dave explained how he grows, how he rotates fields, and why he's not organic. By the way, he's not officially organic because he doesn't want to pay (or have it added into member fees) the certification fee. However, he does use organic practices - building a fence to keep deer out rather than spraying for example. I love driving by the fields and seeing how 'my' veggies are growing. The is a member survey at the end of the season, and I feel that they have listened to the members as I observe changes. We had the opportunity to compare Farmer Dave with another friend's CSA last year, and I was amazed at how much more food, and the quality that was provided by Farmer Dave. read more

I've been a member of Farmer Dave's for 6 years and every year it gets better. The veggies have always been delicious, since day 1. What's getting better is the variety and the length of the season. I get most of what I would buy in the grocery store, and the growing season is now up to 49 weeks of the year. Farmer Dave's chooses varieties for their flavor and nutritional quality, not for boxing up and shipping, so they are tender and not tough. For example, vegetables from the supermarket have a toughness that makes me not want to eat them. When I open my share from Farmer Dave's, the veggies smell gorgeous! You can eat everything raw. It tastes fantastic! If you want to cook something, it takes very little time because they are just picked and tender. Fruits like strawberries and raspberries are juicy and taste like what I remember eating as a kid. Farmer Dave grows all of his own veggies. I researched Farmer Dave's growing practices so I know that they grow sustainably, don't spray harmful chemicals, instead using their knowledge of farming to outsmart things like pests. What they can't outsmart is the weeds. They don't spray weedkiller so they have to hand weed. I've seen the fields before, during and after hand weeding and the one word I would use to sum it up - Respect. Respect for my farmers. Hand weeding is as organic as you can get. It's hard work. I was looking for a Farm CSA for 4 yrs before Farmer Dave started one. I feel grateful to have this wonderful source of delicious and healthy vegetables. read more

The strawberries and blueberries are delicious! Strawberries from the grocery store last me over a week. I now learned to buy 2 cartons of strawberries from Farmer Dave's because I finish them in a day or two. So good, so fresh! read more

I have shopped at Farmer Dave's various locations for a few years now and while their produce is usually good (and their prices reasonable, especially when compared to other farmers), their customer service is so hit-or-miss that I can't give them a good rating (although for the sake of their good employees, I would very much like to, because they deserve it). But some of their employees are not only rude, but a few tacos short of a combo plate (and I'm not kidding. Some of these people give new meaning to the phrase "batsh*t crazy." There is one employee in particular, a young guy with long bushy hair, who could really benefit from some psychiatric assistance and what's really scary is that his erratic behavior was upheld and defended by his female supervisor--who also seemed to be a bit off-the-wall and hysterical. Not exactly the kind of people you want to run into when you shop for produce--especially if you are disabled, which means that going shopping is difficult and physically painful even under the best of circumstances. And, in addition, the customer service that you receive at their HQ, via telephone, tends to be borderline rude, as well). But, on the plus side, they have at least 2 young ladies there who are really wonderful--very professional, friendly, helpful and knowledgable (and, as I said earlier, the produce is very good). But these positives don't outweigh the negatives, unfortunately, and since there is a better than 50% chance that you will run into one of their crazies if you go shopping there, I can't recommend shopping at Farmer Dave's. read more
