I have accessed the Mobile Market many times at several different locations and have always found the produce to be extremely fresh and other goods to be of the highest quality. I have also volunteered at their annual Harvest Fest and Farm to Cocktail events and love how they bring the community together. I am always impressed with the passion, commitment, energy and knowledge of all the staff and I am grateful Lowell has such an amazing organization!

At their Mobile Market, I can get all kinds of produce I can't find anywhere else (lemon cucumbers, husk cherries, colorful beets, a huge variety of kale....). It's always grown locally, always in season, and you can use your SNAP card here. Check their website for the seasonal schedule. Sometimes staff will do taste tests, or offer recipe suggestions, which are really helpful. In addition to growing and selling the food, Mill City Grows also offers educational programming in gardening and preparing food, and provides support for community gardens in Lowell, so you can even grow your own with their help. All sandwiches were perfectly pressed on a variety of breads, including longstanding local favorite Tripoli Bakery Italian bread. Ingredients were fresh and flavorful, with an impressive variety of offerings, especially given this is a tiny place. Clean, small location ideal for takeout or quick grabs of drinks and snacks if you are visiting downtown for business or perhaps a happy historic tour from the local Heritage State Park. This would be perfect picnic food only a block from the Common and the Robert Frost fountain. Specifically, we ordered a Turkey Bacon Avocado on pressed white, a Balsamic Chix wrap, a Grilled Portobello Goat Cheese Sundried Tomato on pressed white, and a delightful Cubano on Tripoli bread. Plus a Mediterranean salad. Every single item was delicious and correct -- requirements that cannot be taken for granted these days! Sandwiches were well-wrapped and labeled. Their spirit is also very evident in their presentation, social media presence, and desire to wow the customer. They did everything right, and definitely deserve your business. If you don't order delivery, bring a buddy who can hop out and pick up your online preorder while you wait, as street parking is a bit challenging at lunch rush. This is an excellent addition to downtown, and a very reasonably priced, healthier alternative to average takeout places offering the same-old. Highly recommend.

The food was excellent! The young lady who helped us was so nice and patient! She explained how each dishes were prices and what some things were called. Because of her, I learned the proper name for Spanish rice. It was very reasonably priced, too. The large rice was only $8!! My husband and I ate that for two days, lol. They had many vietnamese items, compared to my Asian stores nearby. The seafood and meat section was good size and organized. I only got a glimpse of the vegetable and fruits section, but it seems ok for quick runs when you forgot something. The cashier was nice and caring. One of our food boxes fell inside the bag, and he straightened it out. That was such a small gesture, but it showed how much he really cared for his customers! I will be returning for their food. The fried chicken was so good and the rice alone too!
