I am very impressed with the North Andover farmer's market (located next to the CVS plaza on Main…read moreStreet), including the number of organic options--organic meat, fruit, eggs, and vegetables. There is seafood, too, which is impressive. I stocked up on organic meats (fresh and frozen) from Eva's Farm. The steaktips that I ate last night were awesome! Tender and flavorful. This time I bought lemon/pepper chicken, bacon/cheddar burgers, rib eye, and strip steak. Buy one, get one FREE on frozen meat! The boneless rib eye was $19.54, and the T-bone steak was $19.45. So, I spent $19.54 for the two. We tried their frozen strip steak and it was tender and delicious. Julie's Happy Hens sells a variety of organic eggs from chickens, ducks, and turkeys. A sweet little old lady from Hickory Nut Farm sells all things made out of goat's milk. I didn't buy her cheese or yogurt today, but I bought her goat's milk soap, and goat's milk brownie (as gifts). I also bought delicious corn, tomatoes, cuke, arugula, blueberries, and donut peaches--including organic produce from Gaouette Farm. (Lots of other produce--ranging from kale to beets to watermelon to apples--are available.) One of my favorite vendors is a mushroom purveyor: Mycoterra Farm. The beautiful oyster and shitake mushrooms (coupled with farmer's cheese and organic tomatoes) made for a very tasty lunchtime sandwich. I will be back next Sunday (hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.), maybe to purchase some seafood or handmade scrubs and candles. Bakery items, jams, cheese, cereal, and other goodies are there, too.

Really happy to have this new farmer's market in town. Great location and mix of vendors. A great…read moreselection considering it's new, small size. Lots of great fresh veggies and fruit and organic meats too. Always entertainment and great to bring the kids. Thanks to all the sponsors and volunteers who made it happen! Absolutely be sure to bring either lots of cash or a mix. Not all vendors take cards and some have minimums. A few of the vendors have snacks and drinks to purchase right there as well! A great addition to town!

This is THE BEST PLACE ever. I don't live in the area but I drive multiple times a month in the…read morespring and summer from Boston because there's nothing like it. First of all, it's adorable. The shop is super cute and they have fresh produce and baked goods, iced and hot coffee and tea with indoor seating. Everyone here is super nice and I love them. They do have a bathroom in the back of the building, you have to go around the back for it. The two best things are the PYO and the animals. The playground is also great but this place gives you containers of veggies for $1.50 to feed the goats and sheep. It's SO MUCH better than other farms where you just get little pellets. My kids have so much fun. It's never busy. The PYO is laid back and plentiful. I have found that other places are crazy busy and have too much going on on the weekends when you're getting apples or whatnot. Ingaldsby never disappoints. There's always apples to be picked and you aren't crammed in a crowded orchard with tons of people and blocked off from accessing the trees that actually have fruit left to pick. Who does that? Why block us off from getting the good stuff?! Ingaldsby doesn't do that. They're perfect and I love it. I want to keep this place a secret so it always stays the way it is but I also want them to make money and others to enjoy what an amazing place this is. I think it would be great if they sold lunch foods like sandwiches or maybe ice cream, but don't worry Ingaldsby, you don't have to change we will always come. They do have hay rides but you'll have to call them for the schedule. I love this place. Please sell some Ingaldsby t-shirts and hoodies so I can represent!

Before going whale watching in Newburyport, I decided to finally try a fruit pastry. My co worker…read morewarned me that there are flavors that run out quick, so I made sure to be there early. It was in a plaza and in a much smaller space than l imagined. However, it was enough space to fit three cases worth of elaborate pastries including gourmet croissants, slices of cake / breads, and fruit pastries. They were playing Christian music when I walked in which made me so happy and made my morning. I ordered a mango pastry and my friend ordered the hazelnut one. The mango one was filled with an even ratio of mango mousse, cake, and mango chunks with a white chocolate like shell. The outside resembled a mango really well, with intricate detail of shading and colors. The hazelnut one tasted a lot like biting into a softer Ferrero Rocher chocolate - it was chocolatey, it tasted like hazelnut, and it had crispy tiny pieces of something. Each one was $6.99 which seemed fair considering how detailed they are and are decently sized.

Dar Rafiki's is a small bakery shop located in a corner of Dudley Plaza…read more Its windows are very colorful, Enter, and you come right up to the counter. There is a bench inside, and just enough room to walk around other customers without touching each other. They have croissants in two sizes (small and extra large), and a variety of shapes (croissants, cube, danish, bavarian puff). Seeing as whatever I purchased would have to sit in my trunk for a few hours, I avoided the dessert case with its tempting treats, and picked up one of their two cube offerings (Dubai Chocolate), a large Almond Croissant, a pistachio bavarian puff, a lemon danish, and two chicken pastillas dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon. I read that another Yelper suggested freezing some treats, so one chicken pastilla and the lemon danish are currently hibernating. I toasted the other chicken pastilla up and discovered that the crisped up phyllo sheets made the powdered sugar jump everywhere, so my suggestion is - cut first into bite size pieces, toast, then put a piece entirely in your mouth before chewing, in order to avoid the mess. It was good, but I have a first ever core memory that this version did not hit. The bavarian puff, almond croissant and cube were all well filled, yet none were too sweet. The croissant dough was tender at room temperature, and warm and buttery when toasted for a few minutes. *** When toasted back up from the deep cold, the lemon filling had the sweet-tart I was expecting, while the pastry was terrific.
