The mom and uncle of the owner showed up early to set up and start cooking. They were professional, kind, and very friendly. Kids and adults alike really enjoyed the churros too! They boxed up all leftovers after the event, so we ate tacos for leftovers and froze a bunch too for later. The only thing one of my friends said was that paying extra for salad wasn't worth it because the salad was just from a bag. Everything was delicious, and I ate too much! The saffron rice is also good, though some more oil would be nice. They also offer extreme contrast of flavors - a side of pickled cabbage that's really tart and a single jalapeño pepper that's spicy for me. Definitely plan to try some of their other offerings. It was truly one of the best catering experiences I have had from the professionalism of the onsite staff to the exceptional quality of every dish served. Highlights included the perfectly seasoned Farmer's Market Scramble, Chicken Apple Sausage, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with Blueberry Sauce, and Herb Roasted Potatoes for breakfast. Lunch featured incredibly tender Short Ribs, perfectly glazed and moist Grilled Chicken, grilled polenta, and the best honey butter cornbread I have ever had. I remembered they have a happy hour deal from 2 PM to 5 PM for $9.95, which is a really good value. When I went in, there were a lot of employees working, but it took a while for someone to acknowledge me even though I was the only customer. Some were wiping tables, others were in the kitchen, and a few looked at me, but no one said hello or even that someone would be right with me. That kind of acknowledgment would have gone a long way. I eventually realized they wanted customers to order through the touchscreen kiosks. Even so, it would have been nice if someone had said something instead of leaving me to figure it out on my own. I ordered a spicy teriyaki bowl. There is no note section on the screen, so after placing my order I asked if they could make my chicken extra crispy or charred. Based on Yelp photos, the chicken usually does not have much char, which I prefer for both flavor and appearance. When my food was ready, the woman who handed it to me was the only person who was genuinely nice. The napkins were out and she noticed and immediately offered to grab some for me, which I appreciated. When I got home and opened my bowl, the chicken still was not as charred as I had requested. There were only a few light grill marks. The biggest disappointment was the sauce. Even though they say it is made in house, it was missing something and lacked that umami depth. Honestly, it was one of the worst teriyaki sauces I have had. The rice and steamed vegetables were fine, but the chicken and sauce are the main focus of a teriyaki bowl, and that is where this really fell short. If you put a bowl from Teriyaki City Grill next to one from Teriyaki Madness, just by looks alone, Teriyaki Madness is much more appetizing. Because of the service and the food, I do not think I will be coming here again.

Henry sources all the ingredients from Costco and buys everything needed the day before. I'm a huge fan of all things Kirkland. Always solid quality and value. I've been pretty lazy about writing Yelp reviews lately. Figured I'd write one for Grillaxin since many of the other reviews are years old, and the website seems to be defunct.
