If you'd like to pay literally hundreds of dollars more for the same, high-quality plumbing…read moreservice, call one of the other 4.5- to 5-star companies on Yelp with more than 40 reviews. If you'd like excellent customer service and plumbing work at a fair and reasonable price, call these guys. Denise, who handled all of the phone communication, is outstanding. A great listener who took on our problem as if it were her own. Thank you, Denise! Bill, who changed our corroded water line valves, was friendly, down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and efficient. No B.S. from anyone at this company. Other local plumbing companies? Quoted $698 (vs $423 with Victor James Plumbing) for replacing two water line valves. Quoted $523 (vs $244 with Victor James Plumbing) for replacing one water line valve. Note that they wanted to charge MORE THAN DOUBLE what Victor James Plumbing quoted!! One guy wanted to charge $150 just for coming out for the estimate (vs $65 service visit fee for Victor James Plumbing). I find it sad that, because we customers can't always know what a fair market price for services is, some companies will price gouge us without a second thought. I'm glad that there are still honest folks out there like Victor James Plumbing who can do great work with integrity and still make a profit at a reasonable cost to working families.

NEVER USE HORN PLUMBING…read more We chose this company to repair our water service line in October. The initial quote and consultation was done by the owner's son, Jesse. He was easy to work with and the job was done in a timely manner. Less than 30 days later my husband noticed the sink hole at the original leak had re opened and water was leaking into the yard at another location of the line (an hour before we headed out of town). Again, Jesse responded quickly and came out that night to turn our water off. He said if there was anything wrong with the work that they would do whatever it took to make it right. It wasn't until the owner of the company Scott and the foreman from our job Hugo got involved that things went bad. Instead of coming himself right away to check the work, Scott left things to his foreman who has ZERO customer service skills. He adamantly denied that anything could have been done incorrectly and that we would need to pay for a brand new job if we wanted things checked out. Both Hugo and Scott were aggressive on the phone- Scott has still not been to our property to look at the work. When I asked Scott why the three foot hole in our yard had magically re appeared he told me that "You're smart, You could put a garbage can over it". Both men said their guarantee for work was that they had been in the business for 35 plus years. We now have to find another company to check the work and make this right. We didn't want anything for free. In the unfortunate event that a second leak did arise, we would have dealt with it. As customers and not plumbers ourselves, we just wanted a thorough explanation with pictures and a willingness to back up the satisfaction guarantee. SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS AND DONT USE THESE GUYS!!!

My husband and I have been really dissatisfied with Horizon. During their first visit here, the…read moresalesperson went to great lengths to explain that 90% of installations are done incorrectly and that Horizon trains their employees so that the job is done right the first time. We had our furnace replaced by them in January, and you can add us to that 90%. Our system is on two separate zones, and the heat is electric via a heat pump with a propane backup. A little complex, but nothing crazy. We thought everything was fine after the installation until we attempted to test our AC on a warmer day, and we realized the heat pump was outputting hot air instead of cold. We had Horizon back, and they told us our heat pump (which the salesman said was from 2003) was failing and would need to be replaced, so we started getting estimates for a new AC system. To make a very long story short, our initial Horizon setup was done incorrectly on a couple of fronts (both the zoning and the controls for the heat pump). This was finally diagnosed in March after a few second opinions from other HVAC companies (one of which knew how to look up a serial number and let us know that the heat pump is actually from 2017 and is perfectly fine), my husband repeatedly testing the system on his own, and three more visits from Horizon (shoutout to Jacob, the last tech who came by, who was able to tell us what was going on and was extremely helpful). My husband and I both work full time and have a young child, so to say that the amount of time spent on this (testing the system, setting up visits, and meeting with contractors over the past three months) has been stressful is an understatement. In addition to paying for the time and expertise of other companies for second opinions, our PECO and propane bills have been higher than usual because everything has been completely out of whack. I was hoping to communicate all this to Horizon in writing via email to customer service or a manager, but when I called the main office, I was told there was no email I could send any written communication to, which seems like a red flag in 2024. If you're considering Horizon, go with a smaller local company instead. What should have been a one-and-done installation ended up stretching over three months.

My system was sold and installed by them 6 years ago with a 15 year warranty. Now everything seems not to be covered. Every spring my system smells like dead feet, and they tell me it's common because of the way these evaporator cores and made so cheaply. So why do the sell them?? Horizon installed it so Horizon should fix it
