    Ask the Community - Farah's

Can I buy a round of drinks for some friends at the bar over the phone?

Since they are closed, I doubt it. Based on reviews they should be closed.

It's also an easy walk for anyone staying on the bay side or coming on/off the island. First off the vibe is cool, and has some cool to it in a way that sets it apart from a lot of the touristy beach spots in town. Cool art, a full redesigned bar, and lots of comfortable open seating outside. With a sun shade. They also have a stage for live music and they bring acts in from all around. We caught an act, Michael O'Connor, on 4th of July and he was outstanding. Great sound quality too. The tequila and wines are top shelf at reasonable prices, and they had a full cocktail bar service. Beer selection was good, but no draft from what I could see. The bar service, provided by Stassni, was super friendly and attentive. She made sure we were fed and hydrated. And the food - wow! It was fantastic for such a small unassuming spot. I had the coconut butterfly shrimp with fries and my husband had the smash burger. Both were excellent. My shrimp were fresh butterflied gulf shrimp and hand breaded. So good. Their manchego fries were selling like crazy, too. This is the sister restaurant to Calypso in Half Price books. Great little spot on the island that's worth a visit if you want a break from the bustling tourist scene. Note there is some road noise but it's not out of control. The inside is small with most seating outside under a corrugated roof.

Orlando, Marcy, and Jessica are hitting home runs daily. Live music Thursdays through Sundays in the relaxed and kick-back covered area outside. Jessica makes a delicious (sorry for over-using this word, but it's accurate) Basil Gimlet, Blackberry Gimlet, and my favorite old Prohibition drink - The Bee's Knees! If you regulars like we were at Texas Mesquite behind Padre Burger Co. for the Waygu Ribeye, Orlando is doing it here again. Look for Waygu Quesadillas or Waygu Tacos to pop up on the menu. The service is ALWAYS friendly and fast! We go maybe a bit too often but it's just that good!!
