5 stars. No notes. Great vibes and popcorn. Staff is terrific. Really captures the essence of the port aransas community.

Wife ordered a drink (can't remember the name) and I ordered a pina colada, strangely they both tasted exactly the same. Other than that the food was great. Loved my smash burger with bacon and extra patty added Will come back here if we visit port Aransas again

I've traveled all over the world and up and down the U.S. coastline, and I understand beach‑town dining can be hit or miss. But this experience left us genuinely confused about the glowing reviews. We walked into a tiny establishment where the bar was fully staffed and drinks were flowing, yet we couldn't even get served food. Alcohol seemed ready to go, but the kitchen was moving at a pace that made no sense. We were told food would take over an hour. For a place this small, that's baffling. It made me wonder if the rave reviews were written through "vacation goggles" -- sunburned, tired, or a few drinks in -- because from our sober perspective, nothing about the service or setup matched the hype. Maybe the "excellent" part of the name refers strictly to the bar, because the grill definitely felt off‑duty. We ended up leaving without ever getting food. Not the experience we were hoping for.

I had a pound of boiled shrimp, complete with the shells on, fresh from the sea that very morning. I've had shrimp in Key West, San Francisco, Fernandina Beach, Cairns, Australia and many other places. But NONE were as delicious as these at the Crazy Cajun. I hereby declare never to come to Port A without having at least a pound of their boiled shrimp! They are the stuff of shrimp eaters dreams!! Service was excellent. Oh, so were the ribs (which my daughter shared with me)!

The shrimp were okay, but just not a good Cajun boil seasoning at all. It's like the seasoning was sprinkled on top, but hardly anything was in the boil. They were flavorless. We left with a big bill and not enough food. Also, they didn't have regular claw crackers because they said people would steal them. They had wooden mallets instead like for lobster. That's not the same and it doesn't work the same way. Useless wooden mallets. The restaurant itself was fine. A little dingy, but to be expected. Our waiter was super nice and friendly. That's about it.

Pleasant interior decor. Noise level in this open space gets noticably louder as the diner count rises.
