Nice scenery. Good vibes for the most part. Smaller area than I was expecting but no overly crowded. A live cover band was playing when we arrived mid-afternoon. You also catch a good beach breeze from the covered seating areas. Great covered playground for kids, and a shaded covered seating area for adults to watch the kiddies play. The alcoholic drinks were super super weak and overly priced for what you get. Not worth it, might as well skip the alcohol and bring your own to the beach which is steps away. I give the beverages a 1 out of 5 stars. The environment 4/5. Food 3/5 - mostly greasy foods - fries, cheesy hotdogs, fried empanadas, nothing healthy. Would return again for the scenery just definitely not the drinks and unless starving nor the food. read more

We visited around 2pm, so there weren't a lot of people (which we liked). The bartender was SO kind, my drink was reasonably priced and the playground was perfect for my babies. It was shaded nicely. There seemed to be a decent amount of seats, some shaded and some areas had fans. We would definitely visit again. read more

I just found this beautiful gem by accident...and let me tell you wow, I love it here, it is so relaxed and it's family friendly as well. They have food trucks and they of coarse sell the adult beverages as well. Service is on point as well as they do take your orders from your seat. On this day they had live music and it was relaxing. They have pickle ball courts and beach volleyball as well...they even have slides for the kiddos. There is beach access out back with views as well.. the only thing that I can point out is the parking area...it can get full quick. Rest assured that I will be back here... read more

The vibes of this place are immaculate! This is exactly what this beach needed. I also enjoyed the service and the awesome activities they have inside such as cornhole, pickleball, beach volleyball, and a playground for the kids. The only thing I have to say is the prices for drinks is terrible. $8 for a shot, $9 for a frozen drink, and $12 for the picture down below. If it was normal sized I wouldn't care, but because it was in a small water cup with the majority only being ice it bugged me. I was only able to have a couple sips. Once they fix the portion sizes this place is perfect. read more

Cute place. Very cool vibes definitely a family friendly bar. They have not too much selection of drinks but a good enough variety. The staff was overall pretty decent. They have lots of activity's like corn hole, pickle ball, and volleyball courts. But, unlike other beach bars you can bring your drinks out to hang out on the beach. A big bummer. They make up for it by having live music to enjoy which made the place a lot more lively. They even had pretty lights, along with fire pits to keep you warm. The place is a lot better after sun down and they even have food trucks on sight for treats. Very nice. read more

This place is incredible! From the tropical atmosphere and music to the delicious drinks, everything makes you feel like you've escaped to an island resort--even though you haven't left town. It truly feels like a mini tropical vacation. The service was excellent, and my family and I had such a great time. We will definitely be back! read more

Overall the Sandbox was okay. There were some plus and minuses. The bartenders behind the bar were cheery and helpful. The drink selection was minimal and pricey, but the Sandbox drink that's served in a bucket was quite tasty (a bit sweet though). The waitress roaming the sitting area (Tina) was rude and off putting. She didn't introduce herself her first time around then got upset that we didn't order with her when we ran out of our drink. I would suggest she work on her hospitality. Lastly, besides some kids screaming and running around, the day was nice and the vibes were chill. We may or may not visit again. read more

This place is awesome! It is so well planned. There are activities, great live music, amazing vibes and views. I'm a local, so things that feel too touristy I usually avoid. I'll bring everyone who comes to visit here, and I'll come back with our local friends. They manage to curate an experience that really feels like you traveled out of town and got away for the weekend. The drinks are good and surprisingly normally priced. I don't understand the reviews concerned with drink pricing, it's not a dive bar I didn't expect $2 beers. A frozen marg was $8 which is super normal, I expected it to be higher at a place this trendy. There were two food trucks there when we went, one we liked better than the other but both fun. Staff was attentive to any concerns, they had a LOT of staff around on Saturday and were perpetually sweeping sand and such. I'm impressed with the management, they're clearly invested in this being a success. We went for lunch and came back for dinner on the same day, this will be a place we frequent. read more

I stopped in to see what was going on at the Sandbox. Okay live music, some options for truck food. Went to the bar to get a beer. Domestic $5, Import $6.50. I ordered a Shiner bock. "6.50". "Shiner is domestic." "It's an import" "It's brewed in Texas." ""6.50" I paid but told them to change your menu. Bartender walked away and didn't bring my change. I am appalled that service got checked off in this review. One star pretty well covers it read more

I was able to take my dog. I had an angry orchard apple cider. We walked up from the beach. It was a nice surprise seeing it there.
