Its a experience to have these stores near you. Its also the thrill of the hunt. All worth it. Do you want to risk your vinyl getting damaged or lost from mail. Risking the condition not as advertised from your expectations or paying for shipping and handling. They allow you to listen to any used vinyl prior to purchasing and you can examine the condition prior to buying from a place like this. I rather take it home now. You can't do that online. All worth it. Messaged them on IG about purchasing 7inch vinyl protective sleeves, they are very responsive. I am not sure if they can do special orders or RSD events. Clean and well organized. Alphabetically and by genre. My favourite genre is 80s, new wave, and punk 4 hour parking structure less than a skip away. Will return!~

Their videos are organized by how a cinema fan's mind works. By category, by country, by director. John Woo movies in the Hong Kong director's section. Hou Hsiao-Hsien in Taiwan. There's classic porn from the 70s, 80s and 90s. There are Criterion discs. There are John Huston movies, Godard movies, Wim Wenders and David Lynch. Dario Argento horror movies. Sci-fi. Pre Sci-fi. Post Sci-fi. Brazilian. African. Silent films... I could go on and on. If you are looking for an obscure out of print classic film that's not on streaming, there's an 80% chance that you can find it here to rent. There is street parking nearby. The problem? I live in OC and this place is in Mount Washington/Montecito Heights. So if I move down there, I'll be renting some unheard of movies, that's for sure!

Lots of shelves and books everywhere, but each shelf is home to specific categories of books, and there's LOTS of categories! Looking deeper at each collection, I was really impressed with the range of what I saw. I noticed these two super nice quality cookbooks and snagged them! I didn't realize at first, but the prices of the books seem to be marked in pencil on the first inside page or so, and I got a really good deal (imo!). I was in there for just a few minutes before the clerk/owner noticed me (he was busy in the back I think?) and turned on the AC and some cool music. :) That was appreciated, thank you!! I'll stop by again sometime. This feels like the place you should go to when you're not sure what you want, but you want a great price and rare find!!

So I pass by this record store all the time and have been curious about it. So I finally went in…read moreto see if they just sold "New" records (current) or if they also sold new, still sealed in plastic old records as well. Well, to my surprise, they have many old records that are still new (still in plastic wrap)! Not only that but the people that work there are friendly and quite helpful. For example, one of the "new" old Records I purchased had a tear in the plastic. So I inquired about whether or not they had another copy that didn't have a tear in the plastic. They did not but they offered to knock off a couple of dollars in return. I didn't even ask for that. Very cool Now as for the used record selection, I was not that impressed with their quality. I think you get a lot better quality if you search online. Other than that, I would recommend this store.

The only negative thing is that there was a female employee there about my age (a senior citizen) who always watched me like a hawk and made me feel uncomfortable (as if I were going to steal something). Inside, they are a smaller shop but have a good amount of records to sort through. Their selection ranges from different genres and are usually more old school. For some reason the person on the phone was frustrated pretty quick. Once inside, the space was clean and spacious, but no music playing. Unfortunately, the selection felt pretty limited and not fully stocked, so there wasn't much to dig through this time. Cool shop overall, just not the vibe for me on this day.
