APPARENTLY padding and inflating an estimate and not communicating with the examiner or myself to resolve the estimate disagreements, before anything is done, tells me if you do not want the estimate, bombard it with as much ridiculous billings so as to sabotage the estimate with the insurance company and then blame the insurance company for the failure to agree and get out of the job without looking bad or get bad reviews. I have verified noncommunicative with all and that is a big red flag. Contractors in Alaska can be flaky, lack intergrity, just not worth having any communication. VERIFIED! He chose this company over the other bids because the fact they bid hand stamping at a rate he was happy with. They had mentioned this wasn't necessary unless it was a certain temperature, however he said (multiple times in paper and in person) that he wanted the hand stamping done anyway. They did not complete this. He has requested it to be fixed and they still refuse. The only reason they won the bid was for the pricing of the hand-stamping, and they WILL NOT do it. I do not recommend this company, keep in mind "cheaper is not always better" before having them work on your roof. They blatantly ignore paying customer requests for no good reason.

We also had a new roof put on two weeks prior and in doing so, we discovered some bits of rotten fascia boards. Originally, ABC wasn't going to be able to do our gutters until much later in the season. They called my hubs to say they would be in our neighborhood the next day and wanted to do the gutters. My hubs explained that we had discovered some rotted fascia and we needed to fix that before the gutters were installed. ABC offered to fix the bad fascia and do the gutters same day. Yes, there was an up charge for the fascia. Totally worth it!! The techs were polite and thorough. They had colors that matched our house and trim. We did not opt for the gutter guard system, we don't have many trees. My neighbor loves her gutter guards, though.
