I am so disappointed in this facility. My best friend is getting married in 16 DAYS; the staff has continuously bungled her wedding dress. This is the THIRD time that she's having to return it. The dresses were ok and the service was ok, until we got to the end. It was the first place we had visited and so we wanted to check out a couple of other places before we purchased. Plus the dress we found was a little more expensive than we wanted to spend. Then the high pressure sales tactics came out. The saleswoman told us that the manager told her that someone had just called and wanted to come in to buy that exact dress and they were coming in right then! What are the odds?!? Plus it just so happened that it was the last dress in that size and style. And if we wanted it fitted we needed to buy ASAP to get it fitted in time for the big day. Ashley is the best consultant ever! She is so kind and sweet and actually listens to what bride wants. She helps you with trying on wedding gowns in the fitting room and tries her best to find the right dress for you. She has great suggestions and opens your eyes to different wedding gowns that you might have thought you'd never try but you actually fall in love with. I bought my dress from Fantasy Bridal a few years ago, but I would not recommend them to anyone. However my first visit was great. When I went in to try on dresses the sales assistant was very pleasant and helped me find the perfect dress for me. In fact I loved it so much I didn't even go anywhere else. My next visit was for alterations. It went fine until the end. My parents were originally going to pay for the dress but we had a falling out so I was going to need to pay myself (which I was fine with) but I had very little money and decided not to get the poofy skirt thing (obviously I don't know the real term) that I was originally going to purchase through them. At that point the girl who had been doing my fitting became very snarky and making me feel stupid. She told me that the dress may not fit as well if I got a different skirt. Which would have been great for her to tell me if she had been nice about it. I left the store bawling. My 3rd and final visit was to try on my dress and take it home. For some reason they scheduled me right at their lunch time and when I went to try on the dress the cover up I had gotten that attached to the dress looked ridiculous! It was hooked onto the dress in the wrong spot. It was an easy fix that I ended up doing myself at home, but the part that bothered me was that it obviously looked off and all the women just stood there saying how great it looked and rushing me out of the store. I wish that I could look back at this experience with fond memories but unfortunately Fantasy Bridal made it less of a fantasy and more of a nightmare. read more

My fiancé found another dress and decided to return the one she bought here (which she never had sized and she never took from the store) Apparently all sales are final because she signed a contract...who in the h*** has a contract for a piece of clothing?!? I didn't sign a contract for my suit at men's warehouse! Anyway, we try to get our money back so we can put it towards our wedding and they won't budge. The manager hung up on me because I was expressing my frustration. (I wasn't yelling, but she could tell I was irritated). DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!! I wasn't particularly impressed with the service at Fantasy. Instead of having the help of the consultant, we were given free reign to look around the store. All the dresses were in bags, which made it difficult to see and picture the look. It is already near impossible to get a good idea of what a wedding dress looks like for real when it is hanging on a hanger. They tend to look like lacey circus tents, all of them. It would have been very helpful to have the consultant interact more through this initial walk through. Once trying on dresses, the bride I was helping was able to find some nice ones. There were a few that the bride considered, but these were considerably higher priced than the others. There were others, however, that did not look wedding appropriate at all. We referred to these as "Dancing with the Stars" dresses. They were more evening gown than wedding dress. They looked cheap, but were as expensive as others we had seen at smaller boutiques. The last issue I had was the pushiness of the staff. Multiple consultants that had not been working with us came over to push the sale. This was smothering and caused us to just want to get out of there. read more

I can't believe how my mom was treated! My mom is Hispanic and isn't able to defend herself but I will! Sherry helped us find my mom's dress, we found the dress however when my mom went to go pick it up and brought it home, 1 month before her wedding, she received the display dress!!! The dress that everyone tries on! The dress was dirty, the buttons were broken! I am disgusted. When my mom went back sherry no longer worked there and the manager would not talk to my mom. She refused to talk to her and instead sent another worker out to tell her she couldn't do anything about it. Manager refused to come out from the back to help my mom. I had a really good experience at Fantasy Bridal! I went there two times to try on dresses and the consultants were more than accommodating both times. They have a great selection of dresses in all different styles and prices. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because you have to book your appointment pretty far in advance and they don't accept walk-ins. I found my dream dress here last weekend! I left really hurt and felt used. My April wedding had gotten postponed due to COVID-19 at which I immediately called the store and told them if we could hold off on finishing my alterations because I didn't know when I would be getting married. On the phone call the front desk person told me that if I needed to do more alterations because I gained or lost weight in the time I got married then I would get those alterations for free since I had paid for alterations on my dress through the store so no need to worry. I was called two weeks later and was told that my dress was finished and if I wanted to come in and try it on. I asked AGAIN if I could wait until June because that was when my wedding would be postponed until and I was worried that I wouldn't fit in my wedding dress. The girl on the phone kept pressuring me to make an appointment to get my final fitting done as quickly as possible. I was so worried that I might not fit into my wedding dress and I wouldn't be able to afford to pay for any extras alterations if I lost my job, if my wedding was postponed again, or if I started to gain weight due to stress and I was scared to make the appointment. I only agreed to make the final fitting appointment when the girl on the phone assured me that I would receive any changes free to the dress if I needed to have it altered after it was the final fitting. I went in for my final fitting and they had to make a few changes so I came back a third time. That is when I made my final payment and asked how soon I need to call if I need to make any changes between now and June. The alterations manager said as soon as you know you need it and I said "Awesome, it will be free of charge as well correct?" She replied, "No, we only honor our dress alterations for 2 weeks." I was kind of freaking out but tried to act really calm and said, "I talked to the person that called me to make my final appointment and she said any alterations I needed would be free." The manager just looked at me and said "No that is incorrect." We went back and forth for a while until I realized I was about to cry. I walked out the door and was in tears as I walked to my car. In a normal situation I totally understand a 2 week policy, but in this freak COVID-19 era and after I had told her repeatedly that the girl on the phone MADE me make these appointments even though I didn't want to and just because I couldn't remember the girls name on the phone she couldn't help me out? I mean I don't THINK that I will be gaining weight in the next two months but after spending close to $2K at this store they wouldn't even consider letting the seams out if I DID need it free of charge? I know that as a company profits are important, but I really wish that the girl on the phone had not told me that I would get my alterations for no extra charge. Then I would have just made her reschedule any appointments until it was closer to June. I had already had my wedding postponed and had to cancel my venue and this was just really painful to add to the top of my situation. They really need to make sure that everyone working in the store is up to date on their policies and isn't spreading wrong information. This whole situation made me feel like all I am was a profit to them and they really didn't care about helping me out with my wedding they just wanted my money. Be careful to make sure you fully understand their policies and remember the person's name that is talking to you on the phone. I'm still really hurt and feel used. read more

Miss Olivia was helping us out during our trip and we were disappointed to say the least. This was our first time ever looking at dresses with our bride so we were all trying to find our footing especially since our bride had a vague idea of what she wanted in hopes that trying on different styles would spark some inspiration. We had flown in from California to try on these dresses so we had fully intended to bring something home with us. Olivia, however, thought it would be a good idea to talk about the bride and our group right outside of her fitting room thinking that she wouldn't be able to hear. It was incredibly distasteful and unprofessional. We were hoping that with her help we would be able to figure out more of a clear direction to go in, but all we were given was unwanted judgment and a clear disdain for what she was doing. I was invited to Fantasy Bridal by my best friend of almost 12 years for her final dress fitting. I've been so excited to see her dress in its final stages, and the whole idea and process of your best friend getting married is exciting. The people at this store were so insanely unprofessional and rude that not only did they have my friend in tears by the end of her fitting, but the bride being fitted before us was in tears too! My friend had requested at her first fitting that her dress be long enough to pool in the front, and was told that could be done. At what was supposed to be her final fitting, we found the dress to be about 2 inches too short, and the associates argued with us about what the bride wanted. The owner told my friend over and over and over " you WILL rip your dress on your wedding day and trip." SHE JUST WANTS HER DRESS LONG DAMMIT give the girl what she wants! The seamstress even said, "If she wants it, I can do it no problem!" We could not believe that the OWNER sat there and argued with us. "We don't care if it rips, its one day and she wants it long. .." And the owner just kept saying, "your dress will rip on your wedding day." ...Very optimistic bunch! My mom and sister were in town from Colorado and Virginia and I wanted to have them with me during my dress shopping experience since we didn't get to do that when my sister got married. My best friend joined us, and we went to three different bridal shops that day. It was the most professional setting, and the most professional service we received that day. I had a consultant get an idea of what I wanted, and pulled a dress she thought I might like. It just so happened to be the one that I ended up with! She was there helping me try each dress on, and they had undergarments for me to put on as well. These dresses were in great condition (other shops their dresses were there for you to just grab yourself and try on, as if you were at the mall, and they were torn apart, ripped, etc...and I know you have to order your dress, but trying on a dress with holes and tears in it and it's incredibly dirty kind of cheapens the experience in my opinion). They stayed in my requested price range and the dress I chose ended up being under my budget (bonus!) so that it was easier to factor in a vintage lace veil and crystal belt to go with my dress. I was very pleased with the quality and service that Fantasy Bridal provided and very happy I found my dress here! read more

I had such an amazing experience at fantasy bridal, I had left a different bridal shop feeling very disappointed with their selection! My sister-in-law suggested that we try fantasy bridal, I didn't have an appointment so I called ahead to make sure it was okay to come in and look around. I was in luck! They had a no show, so I actually got to try on dresses and I ended up ordering my wedding dress that very day! The staff was amazing! I would definitely recommend them to any bride to be! Out of all of the places I had planned on going to, I was particularly excited about Fantasy Bridal based on what I saw online. It looked like it had a lot of variety with quite a few dresses that were the style I was looking for. Being new to wedding dress shopping, I wanted to find a place that had a lot of options. I kept in mind that the store probably wouldn't have as much as they had online just like any store, but what peaked my expectations was how they had a "make an appointment to see this dress" option, or the form had a tab where you could put the dress number of multiple dresses that you wanted to see, and since this store is based in Salt Lake that is how I interpreted that. So I took that as they had those specific dresses in store, or at least used that as a way to get to know what style I was looking for. My appointment was on a Saturday, so it was pretty busy. I explained to the lady at the front desk that I was looking for a fitted lacey gown with straps which was fine, but had to ask them if they had any of the dresses I had listed and they only had one. Other than the one that I asked to see, the majority of dresses I tried on were picked out by my consultant and weren't really the style I was looking for. The consultant I had was super nice though and was really there to help me, regardless if I bought a dress or not which made it easy and comfortable to be honest with her. Overall, I was somewhat disappointed. The consultant was very nice and polite through it, but I had a hard time finding and conveying the style I was looking for. read more

I understand less than perfect customer service, or when someone is having a bad day. But when I went in to Fantasy Bridal I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman when the sales associates tell her they can't help her. When I first walked in, the consultant started asking me specific, personal questions. They started making me feel uncomfortable when she found out I was pregnant. I didn't even know how to respond when she asked if I "really want to be pregnant on my wedding day." After a few more uncomfortable questions, she ended with "you need to be better educated if you want to look at wedding dresses." I felt really discouraged and out of place. I guess pregnant brides should just buy nice, DI dresses. I'm sure if you're an ideal bride you'll have a better experience. It was just awful. read more

Finding a wedding dress is supposed to be a happy moment. Well this place totally ruined that for me. I walked in without an appointment and they made me feel very unwelcomed. Looking down on me because I didn't have a venue picked, didn't have any idea what dress I wanted, and wasn't ready to buy that day. My wedding is over a year away and I'm just starting to plan. Not sure why I need to have my venue picked to try on dresses and how am I supposed to know what kind of dress I want when I've never tried one on. They are very pushy and rude. If I could give this place no stars I would... My consultant was the biggest asshole. She picked out dresses that fit my "body type" and wouldn't let I or my mom pick out any dresses to try on. I made an appointment and ended up spending less than an hour there. If I told my consultant that I didn't like something about a dress she would immediately say over and over again ' well you don't like the dress lets go get it off'. Not only that but she was rude to my mom. My mother kept pulling off dresses that she liked (which is what I asked her to do) and my mom would bring them over and the consultant would say something like "she said she didn't like THAT style of dress" or "that dress won't fit her body type" she was rude and disrespectful talk about me with another consultant. I didn't even get asked when I was ready to be done, she just decided my appointment was over. Needless to say the experience was ruined, I ended up leaving in tears and I will not be going back there. read more

This place was a nightmare. My sister went today and had a horrible experience. She made an appt and was greeted by an very over zealous sales person. She brought 5 dresses. My sister tried them on and listened to the sales person try to sell her on all of them. She liked a couple a lot but ask to try on a few more. The sales person went to " look for more" and was gone for a long time. She came back and apologized for being gone so long and said there weren't any more that she could find. We were so surprised. My sister said there are hundreds of dresses? There has to be some more I can try. By the way she is 5' 9" size 10. So you would think there would be a lot of options...So the girl tried to sell her more on the 5 dresses she had there. And when my sister asked again to try more dresses she was denied and told her time was up. The appt was supposed to be 90 min. It has been 65 min. So my sister ask her about that and the sales person said sorry we have more people coming in and do you'll have to be done. We ask her why she didn't get 90 min. She said sorry. We are short staffed and others are coming. By the way, at this point my sister, this worker and the manger and another worker at the counter are the only ones in the store. It was crazy. It was like they didn't want to sell her a dress. She is the sweetest calmest person and this experience ruined dress shopping completely for her. It was bizarre. Don't waste your time. You probably won't get to try any on. My sister also asked if she could come back tomorrow and show one dress to me. They said they were too busy but we could come and see if maybe there was time to try it on. But there was no guarantee. Worst customer service ever. Especially when you are considering spending $900 plus on a dress. Do not waste your time. There are too many delightful boutiques that actually want your money. This place is more of a nightmare than a fantasy. read more

I really like Fantasy Bridal, This was the first store that i went to look at dresses and the consultant was very nice and was pulling dresses out for me like crazy, she even had me try on some dresses that i thought i wouldn't like. And I ended up liking them a lot. I didn't buy my dress the first time because i didnt really like any and i wanted to shop around a little more and see what else was out there. 2 months later I ended up coming back and found the perfect dress for me! Something i thought i wouldn't like but it was great! They help you try on just the ones that are in your price range, which was very helpful because you don't want to try on something that you wont be able to afford later and get your hopes up haha. But overall this place was great and im glad i came back. prices are not ridiculous like other bridal shops. :) read more

Very disappointing.... Was looking for formal gloves and don't tell me no one is formal anymore and don't wear gloves on their wedding day or other formal occasions. I went to the Maggie Satero office - thinking it was a store - looking for white formal gloves - and that is how I got referred back to Fantasy Bridal in Murray - I was excited as I am familiar and have been to their store before when they were in Taylorsville. So I did not anticipate any problems. We get there looking for a simple accessory - and what happens I/we get ran around again. Told maybe you should go to a Costume shop because "We unfortunately do not any longer carry gloves" and another employee or whoever she was says "Oh yeah we haven't did gloves in about 7-8 yrs - we just haven't had the need for them, " or whatever she said.... Um, I do not think it is because the demand isn't there - maybe its because maybe you want to price them way high. They just seemed cavalier about it and was like "oh sorry if it seems your getting the run around" did not seem like they cared. read more

They did a fantastic job of selling the dress with the caveat that they could fix it to my size with alterations....That it would be worth getting the more expensive dress when the alterations were all done. Well, the alteration experience was terrible. They constantly were telling me..."Oh its fine!" "You look perfect..." While I was trying to come up with a calm, polite, un-bridezilla way to say that it did not fit right. They dismissed my initial suggestions as that I didn't know what I was talking about and then when I complained...--They told me that I hadn't specified enough. The alteration team is AMAZING!! They did an incredible job making my dress fit me perfectly and I couldn't be happier! Do NOT go here. Fantasy bridal is not the place you should buy your gown. For example I recently bought a dress here for a wedding in October. The dress I wanted they supposedly didn't have in stock so I ordered it. I was charged a special order fee and they told me the dress would be here in June and I would have plenty of time to get the alterations done. Well, it almost June so I called and she said that they have had the dress since February and it has been in stock the whole time even when we very first ordered it so why was I charged a fee. Also, now they said that they can't do my alterations because they won't have enough time. Fantasy Bridal has the worst service, their stylists give incorrect information, and the front desk lady is rude. Two thumbs down to this place. Go somewhere else. There are a million wedding dress places in Utah so do yourself a big favor and don't go to this one. read more

Ignore the bad reviews, they must be totally outdated! Because trust me, Fantasy bridal was WONDERFUL from start to finish. They have a huge selection, and good deals and promotions to help you get your dream dress without totally breaking the bank. I found my dream dress in less than ten minutes, that looked like it costed over $5,000 for only $1200. The reason I found it so quickly was that as soon as I walked in the attentive workers were so helpful at listening to me describe everything I wanted in a dress. Plus, the woman who did the alterations was darling. My only complaint was that they serve so many clients I felt a little rushed to get the alterations done, but they still didn't compromise quality and my dress fit like a glove. I would highly recommend this to anyone! Two of my best friends also bought their dresses here and only have good things to say as well. Go! You won't be disappointed. read more

I had a horrible experience at Fantasy Bridal. I made an appoint with them initially because I went to our local bridal expo and one of the sales girls had mentions they had tons of beautiful dress in stock and in my size. I am a plus sized bride and she could clearly see that. I went to my appointment and showed them what I had in mind. I am not a traditional bride and wanted something different from the typical ball gown wedding dress. I showed them 2 very different styles. 1 was a form fitted lace dress by allure that was suppose to be in stock at their store as they are an authorized retailer and the other was a Vera Wang dress with a tiered skirt. They didn't have anything in my size or close to it that was anything near the Vera Wang dress. Every dress they pulled was a long princess dress that weighed at least 50 lbs. Then she pulled a dress that had sleeves similar to the allure gown but the sleeves didn't fit and she wanted me to walk out with half a dress on to show my party. Umm I think not. Every dress they pulled was hideous and not my style at all. When my party asked where they should sit the response was "oh where ever, we will find you". They were unable to provide me with a corset top and gave me a slip that barely fit. To top it all off accross from me was the dress I wanted to try on pulled for another bride. I am a pretty confident girl but when you go into a store looking for the dress of your dreams and all they pull is crap it gets a little disheartening and seriously made me feel like no one would be able to help me. Thank god I had an appointment somewhere else and the entire experience was like night and day. read more
