Update: Months later I am writing this because I don't want it to happen to anyone else. Bitsy really talked me into buying the sample size of this dress for cheaper. Come to find out that the price for the seamstress to fix it was only a few hundred less then buying a brand new dress in my size. I wish I had done that. I know I could've made a different choice but I was dress shopping on my own at 20 and didn't really have anyone to go to for advice. I put all my trust into Bitsy. At my last fitting the seamstress let me know that the beaded pattern on the front would have to be cut up on one side. The pattern was supposed to be symmetrical. It ruined the whole dress for me. It did not even end up fitting me correctly, it wasn't snug enough on my breasts but too tight on my waist so my boobs were being pushed up and out in a weird and uncomfortable way. Luckily my hair was thick and to my butt so it covered it up. Then on my wedding day my strap broke during my ceremony. I had to change out of my dress for my dinner. Now I can't even sell or rent out the dress because it is so lopsided. I'm sad and frustrated that I ended up spending so much on something that was supposed to be so important to be. I would not recommend this shop after this experience. read more

I found Bitsy Bridal after attending a bridal show at La Caille last summer. I was blown away by the gorgeous dresses coming down the runway and immediately wanted to set up an appointment at the salon. I had been to several salons before meeting with Pam, and as soon as I stepped into the salon with my mom, sister-in-law and two nieces, I was immediately impressed. It was still brand new and in the process of getting all the new business kinks worked out, but I absolutely LOVED the setup and the one-on-one attention I received. Pam was incredible at listening to all of the details about my wedding and my vision and pulled some wonderful dresses. There were several that fit the vision, but I still had other appointments to attend and wasn't ready to commit. What I loved most about her was that there was no pressure to commit and I was able to take time and think about everything. The best part was that just as we were getting ready to leave a FedEx delivery arrived and there was a brand new dress in the box that fit the style I was looking for and she let me try it on. It was magical. It was definitely a dream gown. Unfortunately, it was out of my budget range. But she worked with me and set up a time when I could come back during a trunk show to get more of a discount and still use the coupon I won so I could get the most bang for the buck. Now that is what I call dedication to clientele and customer service!! Unfortunately, between the time I tried on the dress and the trunk show, my budget changed drastically as I had a change in venue and had to give up some of the money that would have gone toward my dress. I ended up having to purchase my dress from another salon, but Pam was so understanding and gracious and was just so happy for me that I was able to find something I loved, even if it wasn't with her. I loved my experience so much, I referred my best friend to the salon when she got engaged. She lives in Minnesota but is from SLC originally and will be getting married here, so she flew in for her appointments this past April. Once again, the experience with the bridal consultant (and trainee) were above par (Pam was not in town for this visit). They explained details, took time pulling dresses to fit the bride's needs, and even offered suggestions to make custom orders to build a dress made of favorite pieces of dresses. The consultants were amazing, friendly, helpful, and knew the business. They even offered me tips on preserving my dress and getting it pressed and steamed beforehand. Just the best customer service I received hands-down, and I went to probably 10 shops total looking for my gown. While I was at Bitsy Bridal with my girlfriend, I found a hair comb to purchase for my wedding day. I may not have been able to buy my gown from them, but I wanted to be able to support Pam and her business in some way and the staff was very helpful with placing my order and having it arrive in time way before the wedding. I HIGHLY recommend you check out this salon. The quality attention to detail and customer service and the fact they are open on Sundays just puts them top of my list. read more

My experience with Bitsy Bridal was less than ideal. I went in in June and found a great dress, had a great consultant and decided to order the dress. We put half of the price of the dress down and were told it would be 6-8 weeks until the dress would arrive. In September, I hadn't heard anything about the dress and it had been over 6-8 weeks since we had ordered the dress. I reached out to the owner Pam to see what the status is on my dress. She told me she had to check in with the designers and she would get back to me. She then told me the dress would be there sometime in December, 6 months after we had ordered it. My mother then reached out to Pam to see why it was taking 6 months instead of the 6-8 weeks we had been originally told. Pam told my mom that she had not even ordered the dress yet, despite the deposit and order we placed. When we asked why Pam first said that she was giving other brides priority over me because my wedding was at a later date. We paid for half of the dress and expected it to be ordered when we did that, like we would any other purchase. She then changed her story and claimed we misunderstood when the dress would arrive and it usually takes 6 months. She kept changing her story and still wouldn't order the dress. She then asked us for the rest of the payment even though there was no dress ordered. We then came up with another contract saying we won't pay the rest owed until we actually have the dress. She was very unprofessional and tried to put the blame on us. We finally got her to put the order in, once she did it only took 6 weeks for the dress to get there, like the original agreement. I went in to try the dress on and it fit perfectly and was beautiful. Despite it fitting just fine Pam goes on to tell me I need to lose back fat and to definitely not gain anymore weight. Pam was dressed very unprofessionally and did not act like an owner of a bridal store. My overall experience was terrible and I would not recommend Bitsy Bridal to anyone. Pam took months to put in the order for my dress, if my wedding would have been sooner I wouldn't have had a dress. She lied about the status of the dress and she made me feel horrible. She put a big damper on my bridal experience and I would not recommend this store to anyone. read more

Staff: Poor communication ruined my experience. Every appointment we had to have the same conversation over and over again. Moreover, they didn't do the alterations in the way I wanted. Even if they weren't feasible in the way I wanted them, it should have been explained. Again, this all stems from a lack of quality communication. Quality of dress: My dress strap broke off within 30 minutes of wearing my dress so my aunt has to sow it back on. Also all of the bustles ripped out of my skirt so the bottom of my dress got ruined by people stepping on it. The details: They also ordered the wrong veil. While they did generously offer to remedy it, this shows their lack of attention to detail. (Also, because they waited so long to order my veil, even though I picked it at my first appointment, there barely would have been time to order the correctly.) Professionalism: Finally, as you can tell from the owners responses to every other negative yelp review, the customer is never right at Bitsy Bridal. Summary: They have a great selection of dresses, but take your dress to get it altered somewhere else. It's not worth the headache. read more

This was my first experience with a bridal shop, but even without anything to compare it to, they were fantastic! So friendly from the moment I walked in the door, and then sat me down to get some details like wedding, location, what kind of dresses I like, any price range, etc. Then we proceeded to try on probably close to a dozen gowns. I've heard from other people that salespeople get annoyed if you try on more than 6 or so, but my lady didn't seem to mind at all. My fiancé came with and they allowed him to take all the pictures he wanted, even moving holding clips around and fixing trains to make sure the pictures looked great for me to review later. We weren't pressured once to buy something that day; she merely had me narrow it down to my favorite three so she could store those choices in her system, in the event that I come back to purchase. Highly recommend Bitsy! I think they have their official grand opening in a couple weeks, so if you are looking for a wedding dress, definitely add them to your list! read more

I ended up buying two gowns to wear during my wedding and bought the second gown for my Reception at Bitsy Bridal. What I love about Bitsy: They have a great selection of gowns from favorites like Hayley Paige and Lazaro. Pam is also amazing to work with! She is down to earth and genuinely wants to help you find the gown of your dreams. She followed up me throughout my months of searching.The rest of the ladies in the shop also exude relaxed and easy going vibes (as opposed to a place like Alta Moda, which in my opinion was super pretentious and stuffy) and I have enjoyed working with them. I also love the texting and online appointment system. It makes it so easy to communicate with the staff and set an appointment that works with my schedule. In addition, they offer in-house alterations. In my opinion, their rates are pricey, but to me it beats having to drag my dress to another shop and go through all the trouble to set up all the fittings again. One of the most special parts of wedding planning is finding your perfect dress for your big day, here at Bitsy Bridal, the manager PAM has done nothing but make this experience miserable for me. I put down a 50% deposit when I found a beautiful dress, then a couple weeks later COVID happened, leaving my fiancée and I no choice but to cancel our wedding. I reached out to the shop and Pam has refused to give me a refund after I asked again she offered that she would talk to the designer of the dress to see if I could get an in-store credit but never reached back out to me until I reached out TWO months later. She replied with "i dont know how to tell you this but its a BIG fat NO". I have reached out to other Bridal shops near by and they have all told me they are refunding brides and helping out in any way they can. I wish Bitsy Bridal was not all about money and cared for their customers. Especially during economic hardships. I am very disappointed with customer service. read more

I looked at a lot of bridal shops, but I'm so glad I ended up booking with Bitsy. They have gorgeous gowns--both classic and modern styles--at a reasonable price. Plus, they give you a discount for purchasing a gown on your first visit! I ended up picking a dress that has to be altered fairly extensively so they walked me through what needed to happen and had their seamstress look at it while I was there. I'm going to end up with a beautiful, unique gown. The stylists were also super kind and helpful. I had my main stylist who selected my gowns but there were also two others who were in the shop and helped answer questions. I'll update my review once alterations are done. I got my dress from here after trying many different shops and being pretty tired with the process. I was pleasantly surprised here. I was looking for a simple, classic style, and while the shop had a large variety, I found the exact dress. I really enjoyed working with Pam; she asked me what I liked in a dress and my budget, then walked me around the store to get a better idea before pulling dresses for me to try on. I appreciated this because most of the other places just had me walk around on my own and try to figure out dresses based on how they looked in a bag on a hanger. Great experience! read more

I had scheduled online, when I walked in they stated they didn't have my appointment but could fit me in. The sales rep I worked with then walked up to introduced herself and was very rude about the fact that I didn't make an appointment and told me I was "lucky" they were seeing me. (Excuse me no, I made an appointment your system messed it up and you're "lucky" you guys were able to fix it) the appointment started about 15 mins late. The rep asked zero questions about me, my wedding, my fiancé, my personality. Only asked about the budget. $$ of course. My two bridesmaids who where with me sensing my concern that the lady didn't know me at all before going to pull dresses asked if they could pull some too. The lady told them yes so they started looking around while I tried on the first dress. She kept opening the curtains while I was changing with no regards for my privacy. She didn't ask my siza at all so the dresses she grabbed were not fitting and I was spilling out. I felt so uncomfortable but she told me to leave the dressing room any way. She then didn't let me try on any of the dresses that my freinds had pulled and just kept with similar ones as the first one that I hated. When my friends asked why she wasn't putting me in the dresses that were requested she stated because they are not on sale (it was a sale day) we all said that is fine is does not need to be on sale we understand we would have to pay full price. They still told us we could not see it. They told us that we could come back the next day if we wanted to see it. Even after we stated that we fully understand that it was full price and that if need be we would purchase it a different day (they said they had a rule that they don't sell other dresses on sale day??? Okay) so we asked to get the details for that dress so we could look else where and they were rude about it stating we can't get it else where we would have to go to them. Yea no, not true but good try. In total they pulled 4 dresses, I said I wanted to try something different (all four were the same thing!!!) the lady I was working with was like "do you want to try this one on again?" I said no I want to try something else to which she responded " okay I will leave you to get dresses so you guys can go" ?? They kicked us out early! After starting my appointment late! They were rude, disorganized, had no consideration for my wants, terrible customer service, terrible sales skills, over all a huge disappointment. It was the shop I was most interested in going to but turned out to be a disaster. read more

I went to Bitsy Bridal last night to find a wedding dress. The owner Pam was wonderful and texted me before the appointment asking for specific gowns I was interested in trying in. This made the whole process so smooth once I got to the salon, as my sweet stylist Madi had already pulled all the gowns I requested. She was an awesome stylist, and I appreciated that she also pulled some other styles of gowns for me to try other than the ones I had requested. She did a great job helping me to narrow down my top 3 dresses, and ultimately come to a great decision! They also had an awesome trunk show going on, and I was so excited to be able to get an affordable dress from a brand new designer line (Evie Young)! I was also really worried that I wouldn't be able to fit in any of the sample size dresses, but I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to fit into all of them. I have so many great things to say about this place - where do I start? First of all, their gowns are stunning and high quality. Even their less expensive gowns are amazing. I loved how each gown already had a price estimate for modest build up. It's so nice to have a place that caters to multiple audiences. The shop itself is spotlessly clean and well organized, with nice sitting/viewing areas. The service was excellent. The owner is an expert in logistics, which is a real advantage in Utah, where many people are not planning their wedding a year in advance. So instead of just being stuck with options off the rack, Pam can help order a brand new dress in your size (depending on the designer, of course). And she works with some of the designers to get extra fabric for those of us who are looking for the modest build up. Sometimes it can feel uncomfortable having someone help change into the dresses, but the woman (I wish I remembered her name!) who helped me was so nice and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. That was really important to me. This is a new shop (just opened 3 months ago), which is why you may not have heard of it and don't see so many reviews here. But I'm not surprised that all reviews are excellent. Pam and her team have years of experience and give focused attention to their clients. I HIGHLY recommend Bitsy Bridal. read more
