Called and booked an appointment, since when I called they said they were full up and couldn't take anyone else that day. OK, no biggie. When I get there, I see the note on the door that facemasks are optional in this establishment. They should have said something when I booked or I guess I should have known to ask. I think its a little early to have someone in my face for half an hour not wearing a mask. I got a good haircut, but its still a pandemic out there and I'm not ready for that level of non-mask wearing. Not a single member of the staff is wearing a mask here. I used to come to this salon all the time. My daughter wanted to get a back to school hair do! We checked the hours, rushed out of work, and came in...5:10pm. One lady was towards the back cleaning up. Another was cutting hair. "We're closed!" Confused I stated "your site says 8pm?!" One of the ladies came back, with no sympathy, no concern in their voice "it's been that way since December." Well... Thank you! It's been that way since when ever... you need to be a proactive business and change your business hours. I've been here 4 times. 2 of those times were with Sandra, whom I felt did a good job. But the other 2 times were with another woman who did exactly the opposite of what I asked. I left with a hideous football helmet haircut. It was so horrible and so dated. I asked for "piecey", "youthful", "volume", and "movement" and came out with a sculpted round mess. The woman was proud of her technical skill. She went on and on about how it was very technical, but she was good at it and liked to do it. While it may have been a difficult cut and she might have done it with skill, it wasn't the haircut we discussed. She did not listen to what I wanted. Beware. read more

I am super upset with this Location on Lindsey rd & Val Vista .I will never again go to this place or any other Fantastic Sams for that matter . Every since the new owners come into this Location it has gone down hill and its super sad to watch but ive delt with it and turned my head because i was so happy with the person that cut my hair .I just come into the store for a hair cut and found out that the Lady that cut my hair for the last 10 years has been let go and not only that the staff decided to tell me what the reason was that she was let go and it makes me sick .. Some people have kids and family and things happen but to let some one go because they were going to be late or calling in after they spent 10 years at the minimum at the same job is complete bullshit !! I am so disgusted with this place i hope all of the people in the valley stick together and stay out of this place i will make it my personal mission to make sure everyone knows the truth about this place...My hair is super hard to cut and ive had everyone in the place cut it and they had my hair in really bad shape and they also have a bigger turn around rate than taco bell and most is due to the new owners messing up a good thing .. Went into this salon for the first time not knowing what to expect. The manager was a real sweetheart. She assigned me to Annaliese and she took such good care of me. She listened to the issues I've had with my hair in the past and replicated the hairdo in the photo I presented. She also recommended products to address my hair issues and I ended up buying them. Have been here before and I liked the service. Unfortunately today it was the worst experience I have ever had and will not go back. One stylist made a snide comment that the haircut I was looking for was not the military cut I had suggested but pretty close. The second stylist for my younger son was terrible. I took my time to explain about his cow lick and that I did not want the length on top shorter than the grown out hair that made his cow lick lay down. Took a whole year growing his hair and wanted a trim on side and back. She proceeds to shave his head on sides and back then cuts the top so not only is all his hair practically gone his cow lick sticks straight up! When I confront her about her not listening to instructions and not liking the haircut. She argued with me about what I wanted. Stated she likes it and how I can just spike the rest of the front to match. I was so mad that she ruined his hair and have to wait another year to grow it all back out. I didn't pay for the cut nor will I ever go back to use the free kid cut I was offered. With attitudes and crappy service like that I would not recommend this location. read more

Not to good. I came here for a simple clipper cut-a fade from zero to half guard-and a shampoo. I did not get shampooed-just about 15 seconds of a light rinse. I came out to my car, and saw that there were still tufts of hair that was missed. The girl on the phone told me yes come on there might be a wait so get here about 4:30. I went inside at 4:16 was taken back then informed that girl was to new and couldn't do my color so they had me wait 10 minutes then told me it was too late they couldn't do my color at all today. I went to this location for an all over color and a trim. I told the girl the color I wanted, which I thought was pretty easy as it was the color I already had. She moved ahead and started coloring my hair, she did not pull it through the ends as if it were the same color it would blend. So basically she was coloring the regrowth. The color I wanted was blonde. while in the shampoo bowl, she asks.... how much were you going to have cut off...... that was my first indicator. She says, I ask because this is quite a bit darker than the color on the bottom!! My hair ended up being chocolate brown on the top and blonde on the bottom. I had 3 choices, cut all the blonde off and have short hair. No. Recolor all of it brown, which I did not want. Or do highlights to hopefully make it blend and get somewhat the color I asked for. I went with the highlights. I was not happy!! My hair is now chocolate brown mixed with an ashy color I hate!! Dumbfounded I STUPIDLY paid for this service. The next day I started calling and leaving messages to have a manager call me back to discuss the issue with me, as I wanted to ask for at least 1/2 my money back. NO ONE has bothered to return my calls. I will never go back there again and will tell others to not go as well. read more
