Top notch service! Found a gem in Carson! Finally found a salon for our dog that really cares for their business and customers. They're very gentle and the place is clean! Parking is easy, a lot stores and restaurants around. Good customer service - human and dogs lol Would definitely recommend.

Please know that if you bring your dog here they will be safe, loved, and taken care of. The owners are beautiful especially the lovely woman whose name unfortunately I didn't get but it's okay because my Coco has found a new groomer and I'll definitely get it next time!Thank you for being so wonderful to us!! Also worth mentioning that I thought I had made an appointment here but I guess somehow I must've confused it with another groomer but she was willing to take him in anyway as long as I was willing to wait a bit which I was perfectly fine with. Thank you so much for fitting us in your tight schedule!

Nice place to take your pup! Cute and quaint and my puppy looked soooo cute when I picked him up! One of the things that I really liked is all the pictures of the dogs on the wall when you come in. She will show you the different lengths of cuts that she can do on your dog. She recommended the shorter cut, but we got one a little bit longer than the short one. I wish we would've gotten it because it's really hot now.

It was our first time that got Luna her haircut here November 2016. We always go to Petsmart Sepulveda/Ocean (it was about the same price also) but it had become a long drive for me especially when I had errands to do by my house only. I found this place thru my coworker & she loved them. I trusted her opinion & Luna had her best haircut experience here she wasn't shaking when I got her back(she hates the cold/the shower/dryer sounds) got clean face/ body oil or fragrance/ nails were not sharp/ got ribbons on/she spent at least 2-3 hours because it was a bit packed when we dropped her off. Her scent even lasted for 3 days! Will definitely come back & recommend to friends! read more

***************************CASH ONLY*************************** This is a newly opened (she opened just last year) business in Carson. I used to take my dog at another grooming salon, but since this is closer to where I live, I decided to give her a try. Like the previous reviewer, this salon is quaint and cozy. She prefers a set appointment, but you can drop by and see if she's available and in between appointments. She is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9am-6pm. She's closed Monday and Sunday. Aurelia is very sweet and very kind to my very demanding and difficult dog (just when he's being groomed, of course). She's also great at listening and taking in instructions to the type of haircut I want for my dog. My dog comes out smelling so fresh and so clean and looking handsome as ever! In addition to grooming services, she also sells cute clothes and transportation strollers for small dogs. read more

Took my dog here for the first time today. My dog has never had her nails trimmed professionally before. She had gotten too fussy and we couldn't trim her nails properly anymore. So anyway, I looked up pet grooming on YELP, and found "Fancy Paws". The ladies there are so nice and took care of my dog so well. They treated my dog like she was a special guest. They carried her into a room and quickly trimmed her nails. I could hear my dog still being her little fussy-self, but these ladies knew how to talk to her, and calm her. My dog is small, so I only paid $6. A very reasonable price and very good customer service. For sure, I'll be back to give more business and I'll spread the word. Thanks again! read more

I was looking for a good pet grooming place to take my yorkie poo. Read great reviews on yelp so I decided to give Fancy Paws a try. I took my Yorkiepoo, Chanel, in a few months ago. She went in looking all scruffy and she had too much facial hair, she looked like a hot mess. After Fancy Paws was done grooming Chanel, she came out looking like a princess. TODAY was Teddys 1st visit to Fancy Paws and he loved it!! I had taken him to 1other groomer In Long Beach before and when I had picked him up he was really scared&upset.... I had a great experience here at Fancy Paws! I have to admit, I was a little nervous coming to a new salon. I was used to going to PetSmart with their ridiculous prices. I decided to try and find somewhere more reasonable and closer to home. I wasn't sure I was going to get exactly what I wanted coming to a new salon, but Fancy Paws exceeded my expectations. Cute place what can I say I had to take my dog to go in. A much-needed bad service was great made an appointment that check Dan picked up my dog and she looked fantastic. I little bit hard to fine but they're there I just think that they need more signs out front. Parking is great no problems going in or out. Service was wonderful, and my dog I was so happy to see that she was well taken care of. read more

I had my dog groomed at fancy paws a few days ago they were supposed to do a regular hair cut my dog always gets there but unfortunately, they left my dog with huge lacerations and when i called to ask for an apology all i got was a sorry and they never offered or even asked to pay for any treatment. I love Fancy Paws but i wish they would be more careful. read more

Great place for a full groom!! They work very well with dogs, especially if you have a difficult dog which i know my Pekingese, Toby is. They still get the job done, and they do it outstandingly. I live down the street from Fancy Paws and its currently my go-to for everything maintenance/groom related. 5/5 highly recommend. read more

Wanted to try another small business that can groom and treat my pup like a prince, and this is definitely the place! The staff there are super patient and sweet it's unbelievable. Their grooming package is a good value considering I paid the same price at a different place and all they did was just wash and cut (here they did his nails, gelled his mouth, and made him smell AMAZING!). I was recommended this place by a co-worker. My boston terrier/pug puppy Boogie needed his nails trimed desperately so i thought I would try it out. They are located about a mile from me so that was very convenient. Called them up to set an appointment at 2pm and didnt get there till 5pm (I know, im a horrible client). I gave her my super hyper puppy and she handed me a form to fill out. I heard her talking to him and he seemed pretty calm, he doesnt like his hands being held so im sure he was about to give her trouble. She started and I was waiting to hear him cry but not once did he. I did hear him whimper very lightly a few times but she comforted him as she continued. Before I can even finish the form she was done. They have a surcharge of 50 cents to use your card but thats all I can find to complain about if thats even worth complaining about, the cut was only $6. The awesome sweet groomer is named Aurelia. I couldn't pronounce it so I had her write it on the card. Shes good and fast. read more

This place is amazing. I took my 4 year old bichon mix named Comet and he looks adorable and smells great! Everything was perfect, except he did get a razor burn in between his eyes. That's pretty much the only thing that freaked me out a little. My advice, if you are picky about how your dog is styled, then tell them exactly what you want in the beginning. Personally the way they styled my Comet I wouldn't have them do it like that again. Don't get me wrong he looks super cute and adorable but I like his face and ears less fluffy, but that's bad on my part because I didn't tell her that when I dropped him off. All I said was make him look cute lol. I'll definitely be bringing my baby back here for grooming again! I would totally recommend you bring your dog here for grooming!! Now the place is a little hard to find. If you're coming up main street from 223rd towards 220th it's literally the drive way right before you pull into Ted's. You'll see like a gate and that's where you can park your car. Oh, it's literally right by purple cup. Hopefully this helps people find it better lol. read more

I have taken my maltese Fluffy here three times so far and a great job every time. He comes back happy and not scared like at the other places I took him before. The place is clean and smells good. I even recommended this place to my sis in law who was here from out of town with her maltese and she too was very satisfied with the service. Definitely will continue to come here. read more

My dog was shaggy and of course all dirty after coming back from vacation and decided to call fancy paws on Saturday for a same day appointment and she had a cancellation and took me right in. My dog came out great she did a great job cutting his hair and making him look handsome. read more

Never been let down by this tiny place of a gem. Tucked in the back of this blue-roofed building, Fancy Paws is where we take Bambam regularly for his grooming needs. We bathe & groom him at home, when it gets too long, he gets shaved down all over here, to the bare minimum. They do a good job & clean up well. He always comes home with a little cute scarf around his neck--this time they gave him minions ! His fur gradually grows in within 5-6 months. He's a pretty small dog and they only charge $40 dollars. We tip $10 because sometimes we have to pick him up a little later, for when errands are overwhelming. There is a ton of parking in the back. No, they don't have a bathroom, but that's okay. The place is kept clean. They have a little wall decked with some dog clothes and accessories. They don't have a seating area, that's how small this place is. Luckily there are some other businesses close by to keep you busy if you have not much to do but wait. Did I mention they only take cash? Would be good to have other payment options. read more

They skipped anal glad expression, it smells on the corner of the eyes because eye boogers were not removed very well, I found out they didn't express the anal glad because my dog has been scooting a lot, also it still smells like ass. read more

We took our dog here and they did not express our dog's anal gland. My wife and I are VERY disappointed and we are never taking our dog here ever again. Also he was still kinda smelly (especially on the face) and they cut his hair too short on the body. read more

My dog shivers and cries after she got home 2 days later there was a big scar on her back, now she bites when you try to file her nails! My baby was licking her paws and a red spot under her chest which I noticed recently. Also I didn't really like the way they trimmed my dog hair, I'm taking my dog to All Star Pet Spa now. The one thing I did like was that it was a clean environment and it was closer to my home. read more

Not a single injury was disclosed to us when we picked him up. The only reason we found out about one of the cuts was because we noticed a powder substance on his rear and were later told it was used to stop the bleeding. Once we got home, we discovered additional cuts that had never been mentioned. We regularly have our dog shaved down and have never had a groomer injure him like this. The haircut itself was also extremely poor. His ears were uneven, the grooming was sloppy, and he looked nothing like he normally does after being professionally groomed. What is most upsetting is that instead of taking responsibility, apologizing, and showing concern for my dog's injuries, the owner denied there was a problem. When my family went back to discuss the situation and request a refund, we were met with excuses rather than accountability. Accidents can happen. Injuring a dog multiple times and failing to tell the owner is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would never trust this business with my pet again. There is a new groomer in the same plaza. "The hair of the dog". I highly recommend you take your pet there instead. Kind, friendly, HONEST, and professional he actually knows what he is doing. My mother in law took her fur-baby and she came out beautiful and not injured.

They also offer boarding and training. It has been more than a year since I started having Baby groomed by our regular groomer. Recently, I suddenly became unwell and needed to undergo some medical testing, and unfortunately, our regular groomer was off that day. Another staff member kindly took care of Baby instead. What impressed me even more was that our regular groomer had left very detailed written instructions for the staff regarding Baby's haircut and grooming. I could see how carefully he communicated Baby's needs, even when he was not there himself. It was such a professional and thoughtful way of handling things, and it made me trust the salon even more. Baby has a very challenging triple coat, which makes bathing and grooming more difficult than usual. We have always discussed the style together, and for more than six months now, we have been happily keeping the same haircut. If you are looking for a grooming salon, I would recommend this place without hesitation. The staff are wonderful, the environment is clean, and most importantly, I feel completely comfortable leaving my Baby in their care. I was really hopeful, but the minute I walked in, I probably should have paid attention to the red flags. The woman sitting behind the desk barely acknowledged me, which didn't give me the best first impression. Still, the groomers seemed friendly and experienced, so I decided to give them a chance. When my poor dog came out, he looked like he had been run over by a lawn mower! And to make matters worse, I paid practically the same amount. Needless to say, we went right back to Soggy Paws Pet Grooming- and now I have an entirely new appreciation for the wonderful job they do. Lesson learned! I had this puppy for only several months old, and booked this place for grooming. The appointment was confirmed, and due to the staff /business owner who can do the work was on maternity leave, I had to waited for 2 months - which was ok, we could wait. But when the appointment was approaching, I was contacted for delaying the appointment for another month due to the staff needed more time for the leave. I was ok with that, and so another month to wait. One week before the appointment time, I was contacted again as the staff can't do the job on the agreed day, it had to be rescheduled again. I was patient enough for almost three month wait. But I felt not very respectful for the 3rd time change of my appointment time! I had to reschedule my time off to make it work. When I express my concerns of the time change, the message I got literally was " We don't need new customers honestly." Really?! I felt really bad but the short time change notice put me into a position that I didn't want to waste more time researching another place ( maybe I should). So I went and the hand stripping charges by hourly rate, usually takes 1-3 hours for the session. I had a small-medium size dog, it was our first time doing that, I had no expectations. But I didn't expect that they did took 3 full hours to do the job, so I was charged for 3 hours, plus the bath... I got a final bill of over $300!! And I felt the style was a bit off- I sent a photo to our breeder, she thought the same... So I tried a different place for my second time, just to compare with my 1st experience at Soggy Paws Pet Grooming. The final bill I got from a different place was only $165 - (and my dog is growing bigger, probably with much more hair to be stripped, and my dog looked great!!) So I think the business owner of Soggy is right: They don't need new customers! And I have found a better place to go after all. That is my experience with this place. Hope it is helpful.

Should your dog continue to try to play with other dogs they will call you and let you know that the dog will be in their room for the remainder of the day. This place needs to be investigated for animal welfare practices. Never have I ever heard so many people talk about how much they love dogs only for their actions to show differently. One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a groomer. The pricing is completely ridiculous and seems to be made up on the spot. I was charged an outrageous amount to groom my dog, yet my aunt takes her dog to the same place and pays substantially less. The crazy part is that her dog's coat is longer, thicker, and much more matted than my dog's, which should require far more work. There appears to be absolutely no consistency in how they charge customers. When I questioned the difference, I got no reasonable explanation. It's hard not to feel like certain customers are being overcharged simply because they think they can get away with it. What made the experience even more upsetting was that this is the only groomer I have ever taken my dog to. Despite being a regular customer, I ended up dealing with serious anal gland issues that eventually required veterinary treatment and surgery. While I cannot say with certainty what caused the problem, it is extremely concerning that this happened while this groomer was the only one caring for my dog's grooming needs. For the amount they charged, I expected exceptional service. Instead, I walked away feeling ripped off and frustrated. A business that can't provide fair, transparent, and consistent pricing doesn't deserve repeat customers. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this groomer get a detailed quote beforehand and compare prices with other customers, because what you're charged may have little to do with the actual condition of your dog's coat. There are plenty of groomers out there that treat customers fairly--unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be one of them. read more
