I was told it's so little I won't even notice it... then why not just take it off/why try to upsell me another service? So frustrating. And they're always trying to upsell the overpriced products and packages. Like hard. It's so annoying. Bummer. Note for guest relations response: my post did not mention the length of hair. There's apparently a cutoff point with a Brazilian, even if it's extremely minimal "extra" Wax that would be needed, and wouldn't warrant you selling me an additional service.

Then, she moved on to my Brazilian. Keep in mind I took a break for a while and needed this sensitive area waxed! She worked quickly and talked to me to keep me comfortable the entire time. She told me I should exfoliate the area (after 2 days past) and suggested a product they carry for that exact purpose. I have always had a great experience at the EWC but this Brazilian was by far the least painful and uncomfortable. Highly recommend!

She was also very educational with the questions I asked and offered other recommendations to help with my skin. My skin can be sensitive at times so I was worried about trying new products. Per Laurie's recommendation I bought a toner, vitamin c & e, a pore & wrinkle serum, & a moisturizer. I love them all and most importantly, my skin does too! I would also like to note that she was not in any way pushy about buying the products. She suggested the ones to get first if I was looking to budget. I ended up buying them all and found the pricing very reasonable. I just rebooked and can't wait to see Laurie again.

Instead of calling me and asking if I was OK, as any caring business owner would, I was blacklisted from booking appointments online. Marisa only cares about your wallet and it's evident in the fact that in the 6 years I was a client, she went through 3 different product lines in the guise of "providing the best for her clients" i.e., what will make her the most profit. She forces product sales and tells her estheticians to do the same. If you're not her daughter or a family friend, you won't last there as an employee. Her prices are on par with high end Boston spas, but in North Attleboro. I presume she has to pay the mortgage on her extravagant new location somehow. I regret having spent thousands there over the years. EDIT 1/2/2025 in response to business owner comment -- I understand the need for strict no-show and last-minute cancellations, which of course are intended to recoup loses from UNRELIABLE clients. Not from clients diagnosed with cancer who are trying their best to maintain some sense of normalcy in life who have a long history of maintaining a proper client-business relationship. My treatment based on extenuating circumstances cannot reasonably be considered "understanding and flexible". It is important to current and future clients that they consider how quickly a business devalues a client, so they can make the most informed decision on where to receive these types of services. The best way to address my concerns would be to treat clients better than I've been treated. I in no way mean to harm your business. Everyone can read all reviews here and on other websites and decide for themselves if they wish for their hard-earned dollars to support your business.

I arrived for a manicure and pedicure, and upon entering the salon, a staff member showed me a…read moreservice menu listing the price as $75.00. While the manicurist, Geissi (I'm not sure if that's her exact name), was attending to me, she tried to take photos of my nails without my permission, claiming that this was allowed in the United States as long as my face wasn't in the shot. She assumed I was unfamiliar with local laws regarding the right to privacy and the protection of one's image. I refused to let her do it, and I was even told that I was the only customer who had ever refused until then. When it came time to pay, the salon owner, Joice, charged me $82.00, claiming the menu I had been given was outdated. I had actually intended to leave a generous tip, but I decided against it due to their lack of honesty and professionalism. I considered calling the police to enforce the price listed on the menu, but I ultimately decided to just pay and leave. I paid $40.00 in cash and $42.00 on my card (I have a photo of the receipt). I am posting this review on Google to warn others about the salon's dishonest and illegal practices and to discourage them from visiting--especially since the salon is located in an unsafe area. I felt extorted, and I will not return to a place that lacks such basic honesty and professionalism. Another important detail: the owner, Ms. Joice, is a liar. She claimed the service menu was outdated and that the website already listed the manicure and pedicure price as $80.00. I checked the website and discovered yet another lie; this makes me believe that the quality of the salon's services and products lacks any credibility, as the owner sets a terrible example for her staff.

Update: almost two weeks since I got this manicure and I have 3 nails left that lasted with this dip manicure that anywhere else lasts me more than 3 weeks in perfect condition. Now one nail fell again and you can see from the picture that it looks infected it is obvious they use nasty unclean materials.
