I have been going to Fancy Nails for many, many years now. I find the nail technicians that I have dealt with friendly and professional. I have tried in the past to go to salons closer to my home, but have found the service unsatisfactory. And I always return to Fancy Nails. I have been fortunate to have had several polite, experienced and professional nail technicians over the years (Vicky, Linda and Lena who is fabulous!) Came in for an acrylic fill since my regular place was closed. Awful. Nobody in there (should've taken that as a warning) and they sat me with a middle aged man who didn't say a word to me except grunt in annoyance if I moved even slightly (to drink my iced tea for example... or breathe!! Ugh) My nails looked crappy when I finished and two broke within one day. Awful! Do not go here for acrylics!! Waste of money. read more

Came in for a relaxing mani/pedi and a relaxing day with a couple coworkers. It was in the afternoon around 3ish so the place was not so full but that's the only reason they got two stars. I feel like it was more expensive than what it was worth. I had the deluxe pedi and I have had better reg pedi for less $. It wasn't a horrible mani but my coworkers nails and mine started peeling within days! It was a gel. And I've been wearing gel forever so I've never had this problem. All in all not a terrible experience but def not worth the price. My advice if u do go...... SKIP THE DELUXE! Save your money and time read more

** Update: Jan. 15 08 ** Been coming here for almost 3 months, and I love them. The owner is awesome! Her name is Kim, and is really sweet. If you want your nails done, ask for her. But if there is a wait, ask for Tammy. She is really great too! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Okay.. So first off I always, ALWAYS told myself to never, EVER go to a nail salon that just opened. You never know what you are going to get... literally. Plus a nail salon in a mall... EEK! That being said, let me set up the events of the day. Baby girl, and I were cruising around the mall getting our exercise on. She was being super good munching away on her cookies and drinking her milk. We had hit up about two stores when I finally realized it... I BROKE A NAIL! Oh that sucks. It sucked even more because the next day was baby girl's 1-year birthday party so I couldn't get an emergency appointment with my usual place. So I cringed while looking at the mall directory. I used to work at this mall, so I know the first floor nail salons are a no go. The one on the second floor is ok, but a small area (ie no spot for baby girl and her stroller). That left us with Fancy Nails on the third floor by the food court. They opened about a month before and were offering 20% off all services. So I crossed my fingers and toes, and walked in. They were able to take me right away, and didn't mind that I had the baby. I sat down with an older woman (can't remember her name), and she quickly started on my nails. I think it was right after she took the polish off, and right before she started to file away, the baby started to get antsy. Oh no! The nail tech stopped, and let me make a bottle. (I knew getting my nails done would be a bad idea). So she gets her bottle and we get about 15 Minutes of quiet. She was about to do the final filing before the polish when baby girl finished her bottle and was pitching a fit. Oh man! The woman working the reception desk took the baby out of the stroller and followed her around the store, allowing the nail tech to finish my nails, and giving them adequate time to dry. The people at Fancy Nails are awesome! They were patient, considerate, and gentle. I went back about a week ago and had another great experience. I think I found my new favorite nail place. read more

I wish I could leave 0 stars because this place is the worst! It's full of fungus! I not only got a nail infection from them but also I went to have one nail fixed and the manager lisa refused saying that I had to have the person who did it fix them. I hope to god this dirty awful place is closed down with license revoked!!! read more

Wish I could give this place zero stars! Took my little sister in here today to relax and get our nails done instead I was left with a headache and a horrible experience. Ive been going here for 10+ years. Ive never had any nail fungus or infection, which is why i keep going back. I have no idea what the other reviewer is talking about. They santize all their tools, everytime. My friends, family and clients always compliment me on my nails. I get the gel mani. Go here and have Vi do your nails. Shes super nice and we always have great convos! I dont have issues with my nails, but ive seen other clients complain and its always taken care of. Please dont listen to other bitter reviewers who abuse their power to review and give 1 star. Such bs. read more

My girl and I went to Fancy Nails on the 3rd floor of emerald square mall to get gel manicures. The nail tech that I had was extrememly rude. She would slam my hand because i was chatting with my friend and I started laughing which made this cranky rude even angrier. She wouldnt even give me the common courtesy to smile or look at me. The picture I showed her of the style of nails I wanted was not even close to the pic. I would never recommend this place to anyone! 35 dollars for a half ass job and very rude workers. I have been here 3 times and will not be returning. The first time I got a full set of French tip gel nails. Came out great and was charged $25. The second time I went for a fill- was charged $35. The 3rd time I went for a full set again- the same thing as the first time but was charged $40. The prices don't make sense. The staff are friendly but very rushed. read more

This nail salon is awesome!! They are a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. I will never get my nails done anywhere else or by anyone else other than Lena. She is the owner now. She remembers her loyal customers and knows them by name, and knows exactly what they like and what they don't. I'm very picky when it comes to my nails, and she makes sure I'm happy. I definitely recommend this place!! But just FYI - you're better off making an appointment or going when they first open because it can get very busy. read more

I've been going to Fancy Nails for years now and I go there because it's such a clean place. They open sterilized tools for each customer. That being said, there's a new guy there, Richie, who had the filthiest nails! I didn't notice how dirty they were when he did my pedi, but then saw them when he started on my nails & felt like throwing up! A nail salon's worst advertisement is someone with dirty disgusting nails! This shouldn't be allowed. He could be spreading so many germs & infections! Gross!!!!!!!! read more

This "nail salon" was a torturous trip. I had one of the ladies, and I left with two nails BLEEDING. Not to mention, all of my finger nails feeling sore, and in pain. I strongly suggest walking right past this nail spa when entering the mall. Awful service, with a manager yelling the whole time. The wait was about 15 mins when there were about 3 workers not even doing anything. Also, the parents (workers) yelling at their children (who stay at the salon) the entire time because they are running around and being mischievous. This was the worst experience I have ever had. As soon as I walked in the door the woman who told me to check in was extremely rude. She asked me to pick out my color, so I went over to the gel color choices to pick what I wanted. As soon as I started looking the woman was constantly asking me what color I wanted and stood behind me rushing me. I ended up settling for a color I didn't even like. When she started to do my gel manicure, I told her not to put oil on my fingernails because I'm elegiac to it and she grabbed my hand and began to apply the oil anyways. When I had finished getting my manicure, (already in a bad mood now) she over charged me and gave me back the wrong change and wouldn't give me a receipt . The next day I woke up with swollen cuticles and all my gel color was peeling off of my nails, when I went back to ask for a redo, rudely a manager said she would redo them and because they were busy I waited for an hour and a half for them to have time to work on me. When it was just about my turn, the same woman came over to me and said that she wouldn't redo my nails not that she couldn't but that she wouldn't and that she would give me a refund and proceeded to hand me a 20$ billion. I payed 30$ for my gel manicure and she insisted that I didn't. So I said okay have a good night and left with infected irritated cuticles, no complete refund and I will never go there again. Worst customer service and they were all extremely rude. They will do anything to rip you off. Don't give them your business. They are unfortunately terrible. read more

The only things I like less than needles are feet (long story). I have had a total of three pedicures in my 24 years on this Earth. One was right before a wedding, somewhere in Newport, and the other two times I was at Fancy Nails in the mall. The first time I went it was VERY busy. But my mother and I were seated at the same time right next to each other which helped ease my discomfort (seriously...feet, ick!). The pedicure went pretty well...until some guy that worked there came over to watch the woman working on me. I don't know if it was her first day or he was just curious but it creeped me out! I didn't like one person sitting there staring at my feet, never mind a second! So the first time was overall pretty good with a few minutes of personal discomfort. The second time I went with my sister. We went at about 10:30 in the morning on a Monday. We were the only two customers there and it was amazing! My sister has been there many times over the yars, so the girls working obviously knew her. They were very friendly. And this time...no guy creepily staring at my feet.
