I normally only come here for eyebrow waxes because I personally like to do my own mani and pedis at home. However, if I ever do get them, it is because I have no time and have something special to show up to. I got two manis here and see why they have such low ratings. They rush to service the most people in a day, which sacrifices the quality of their work. The outcome was expected, but it still displeases me that it cost the health and length of my nails. On top of that, their gel quality is cheap because it would lift and chip after barely a week. I called ahead for a pedicure. Was told to 10 minutes. I arrived and was just sat down. Waited 45 minutes and not even the plastic was placed on the tub. These women are hard workers and balanced all the people coming in without appointments, made sure everyone was taken care of and were kind. I had my nails done with dip and the lady did a great job. However she removed the previous dip with nail polish remover. Not my go to for removing previous dip. My nails look good. They were pricey. It was $40 total to have a dip manicure with cuticle removal. Ouch! I also had a pedicure done. I had to wait til manicure was done to receive a pedicure so I spent more time than I would've liked. They were able to color match the manicure and pedicure colors. For that I am thankful. However it wasn't the best pedicure I have received for again the price $26. I guess.....with only two local places they can afford to charge $$$$ be prepared to get charged for a filet mignon and receive a flank steak. Sooooo incredibly happy!! I've been coming here since the late 90s when it was Diamond Nails. I've never had a bad experience! I read all the negative reviews and I'm not sure what went wrong. But like I said I never had a bad experience. The ladies speak decent English. Always accommodating. Always helpful. Very friendly. One time I took my 10 year old daughter at the time for bday nails and the nail tech gifted her four flower designs no charge! I do not have a particular nail tech that I stay with. I trust and love all the ladies here! If you love their massage lotion, if you ask they just might sell you a bottle for cheap! Whenever I'm not sure on color, they always know which color to choose and help me decide. Of course there are many other nail salons out there and Fillmore only has one place. But what makes them stand out is how convenient they are. They are close by, prices are reasonable. Little higher than others, but your gonna spend gas going out of town. So it evens out. They offer waxing services and options for mani-pedi packages. They see men, women and children. They have a large selection or colors and designs. They did at one time have old polishes. But they have upgraded quite a bit! My gel last 2 weeks without chipping, peeling or my nails breaking. They do take credit cards. I recommend cash as they charge $2 for the cc machine. And they also recommend cash when you checking out. and will even tell you or ask you of you would like to go next door to Vons to take out cash if you forget or wasn't aware. If you are in a time crunch, just let them know what time you'd like to be done and they will always get you out and going in time WITH QUALITY! read more

I had the worst experience. I made an appointment at 10am I got there at 9:30 they didn't get me in the chair until 10:30 and then when I told them I needed a full set and a pedicure they said okay. I got my manicure done and it was at 11:30 I was done I then proceeded to wait till 12:00 to see if anyone would acknowledge me. Not until I told them I needed to go because I had been waiting for my pedicure. My nails look great but why even make an appointment because they don't hold it. The manager helps her friends that doesn't have an appointment before the people who walked in or have an appointment. When I even checked out she said can you come back later I said I have already been waiting for 2 plus hours for both things. Why should I come back she didn't say anything except I'm sorry. I went there today 2/22/22 for my daughter's birthday gift. They talked about how dry her skin was, she just had her cast removed. I expressed how sensitive my nails were and she used the tool and I literally started to cry. I asked for one color and they put the wrong color on. Once she was paid and tipped $20 bucks, she then spoke. I'm so happy that I'm not treated this way with Kim in Moorpark ! It's sad when your being talked about, treated bad, and rude for no reason. I'm so disappointed. I really wanted this salon to be better. It's right by my house and super convenient. But during the pedicure, my toes were pinched, poked, cut (bleeding) and slapped. At one point the technician grabbed my big toe, swing my foot around and then dropped it on the towel like a piece of meat. My first time there yesterday and never going back. The skinny lady with glasses that helped me was sooo rude! My French tip pedicure came out horrible and must've been done in old polish because it never dried and smudged bad hours later. Also the water was cold and she scrubbed and rubbed my feet for like 2 seconds. She also started painting my fingernails in a color that didn't match the one I picked and got mad at me for pointing it out. There's a difference between dark purple and blue!! This place is horrible! I don't believe the nail techs are properly trained. I was replacing a set of Nails and they just ripped them off without soaking or taking time to remove them carefully. Instead she ended up ripping and causing bleeding from 8 of the acrylics she removed!! I did not allow them to replace the set. I then started going in for pedicures and for the most part I was very happy until my last visit. The young lady was trimming my nails and chose to rip out what could potentially turn into an ingrown. She ripped it completely out, I bled and had a swollen toe that I had problems walking on for weeks! I now drive to Ventura and the first words out of my nail tech was "who did this to your toe" I was informed that if she would of just clipped the tip instead of ripping the nail out it would have been fine.
