Fancy Nails - Love my nails!!!! - Nail Salons Near Me - College Station, Texas

I usually don't post reviews but I was really disappointed with my last experience. I was there for over two and half hours and sat doing nothing for at least 45 min. I was sat down and they started working on my manicure which was great. I came with a friend so I'd hoped that we could do our pedicures together at the same time, but hey it happens no biggie. About half way through finishing my manicure, he just stops and tells me that they'll finish my manicure while doing my pedicure. My friend, who'd already started her pedicure, texted me to tell me that the hot water wasn't working. I asked the person if the hot water was working because if it wasn't I'd just wait for another day. He told me yes, however it wasn't and I sat there for at least 20 minutes after he'd started when he paused to take a phone call. After waiting he comes back and works some more but then leaves again randomly to go eat in the back. He literally came back still holding chicken 20 minutes later. After my pedicure was finished, they finally started working on my half completed manicure. I had powder from the SNS literally all over my entire body because he just stopped at a random point. He too came and left multiple times through out finishing it up. It would've taken probably 10-15 minutes to finish but it was extend way longer than necessary. He was even writing a check and talking to other people instead of just finishing. I'm disappointed because I'd had a decent experience there before and my roommates had recommended it to me. However, my time was completely taken advantage of and it wasn't worth the money I paid. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

They did a pretty good job on my Halloween nails. My only complaint is that the guy that did my nails didn't really understand how to ombré so I had to instruct him a little bit but he did an above average job. I loved my nails and so did everybody else that saw them. read more

My only complaint was the wait, which was about 45 minutes. Then again, it was a Sunday afternoon a week before ring day, so no surprise that they were busy! Every single artist was busy, back to back, and yet they all kept a cheerful demeanor and took the time to listen. They were very professional and clean, and meticulous about their work. They wouldn't let you walk out of there with even a slightly uneven nail. The friend I went with had a set that wasn't "up to their standards" so they sat her back down and wouldn't let her pay until it was perfect. I got a full set of acrylics with polish over them for 31$. read more

NEVER AGAIN. The fact that they destroyed my cuticles (rip) was the least of my worries. Not one single piece of equipment was cleaned between clients, and one of the nails techs was legit picking her nose. PICKING HER NOSE! Spend your money elsewhere. read more

I loved it here! The place is so clean and organized. The people are so nice and welcoming. They had soooo many color choices compared to other nail salons. There was just an overall good vibe there. I really liked how there was just soft music in the background and that's it. I don't like when nail salons have tv's blasting on weird channels because it's doesn't give you that "spa" feeling. This place was nice and quiet and very enjoyable. Also, the prices are very reasonable. Overall I loved this new place and will be making it my regular joint! read more

After reading all the reviews about Fancy Nails, and coming across some that gave only one star, I was very skeptical to go. I decided to give the salon a shot anyways as pictures on their Facebook showed excellent work. I must say, I am so glad I went! Upon entering I was greeted nicely, and immediately was attended to (I went at a time where it was not busy) even then I would not have minded the wait. I am so picky with my nails and constantly have to be telling nail techs to fix something. Julie did my nails and for the first time ever getting my nails done I did not once have to tell her to fix something. She was very quick, efficient, and extremely friendly. If you are looking for a new nail salon I highly highly recommend Fancy Nails! If you are skeptical to do so request Julie to do your nails. You will be blown away!! read more

I just tried this place it opened up a few months ago and I'm only coming back here from now on. The decor is so gorgeous and modern, really good atmosphere. The staff is friendly and so professional. I showed them a picture of some ombré nails I found on Pinterest and I got exactly that and I was also in and out in less than an hour. I got the deluxe pedicure and it was definitely worth the extra $6 hahah. I was worried with dip powder nails it would make them super bulbous or too thick but they turned out amazing and I even got them shaped the way I like without even asking! 10/10 would recommend it's my new go-to read more

This has always been my go to spot since moving here a little over a year ago. However, it has been hit or miss the last several months. I am hesitant to come in at all now bc of wait times due to being understaffed. You can always tell when the owner is away. I'm currently sitting in the pedicure chair where I have been sitting so long that my water has gone cold, there are only two techs working on pedicures.....and there are only three people getting them. And no. They aren't even busy read more

The owner and her husband both worked on my nails today and they were SOO detail-oriented, attentive, careful, and sweet. She glued and shaped the nails and he did the ombré. Both were fantastic. I don't have much to say about any other employees, but I do know for a fact those two were INCREDIBLE. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they made sure I was happy without me having to ask. He even went above and beyond to call and ask for a particular color to quote, "make it exactly how I want!" Haha, they were sweet.. I have nothing to complain about with my nails, examining them. They're all so even, sturdy, and pretty (not thick either). read more

I love this place! I don't have waiting issues bc I always call ahead. I prefer Jenny, she is so thorough and does an absolutely perfect job every time! She's very attentive to my needs (I have FM) and she takes great care of me every time! I have never witnessed them using unclean utensils or reusing them without being properly sterilized. I'm sure this place isn't perfect, no salon is, but I feel they go above and beyond to please each client. read more

One of the best nail salons I have ever been to. I came in yesterday for a pedi and a dip mani. I previously went to a salon closer to home but they absolutely ruined my natural nails. My nails were thin and so sensitive, but the tech genuinely cared and made sure he was gentle and took extra time to make my nails look absolutely phenomenal again. This place is about an hour away from home for me, but you better believe I will be going here from now on! read more

The guy I got did one of the worst shellac manicures I've ever received, and on top of that cut almost all of my fingers with nail file. Very aggressive and painted up onto my cuticle which he also never pushed back. Even when checking out the man who cashed me out had to fix them over the counter. Gave me a slight discount which is why I'm giving it 2 stars. Be careful who you see here! read more

I got a gel manicure here and it didn't last a single day. The polish started peeling off as soon as I got home. It was such a waste of money. read more

My nails looked perfect as soon as I left but unfortunately the day after I got a few chips and it continually just got worse. So about 5 days after I got the shellac manicure, all of my nails were cracked/chipped. Maybe it was the nail polish brand. Overall, good price and good service but wish my manicure lasted more than a few days. read more

I have been here before and they did a great job on my pedicure. This time was so bad. The man who did my nails felt like he was rushing through it. He barley scrubbed my feet, didn't get the skin around my toenails and was violently filing them. I got gel and he pained them so sloppy that he had to scrape the polish off my skin. I don't know if they have changed ownership or what but if you think you like this place I would think again. read more

I always have a really good experience with manicures and dip nails here, but the one time I got a pedicure I didn't realize till I got home that the polish was clumpy and uneven. Couldn't go back to fix it because I needed to be out of town already but I'm sure they would've fixed it if I had asked, they're usually really nice! read more

Great place to get a pedicure! This was my first time coming here, and I was impressed. The location has modern decor, clean, doesn't have a strong nail salon odor, and the pedicure chairs are comfortable. My boyfriend & I walked in for a pedicure at about 4:30 today (Sunday); we were immediately helped. We got the Classic Pedicure ($26) that included a massage, callus & cuticle care, and polish! The massage was relaxing, and the technician was very friendly. They both took great care of our feet and didn't rush through anything. I highly recommend trying this place out! read more

I went in today for an SNS manicure and the manicurist stabbed me accidentally with her fingernail while pushing down my skin during the filing process. I started to bleed and she gave a nonchalant "sorry" and continued. After she was done I washed my hands and was presented with a stinging from the cut. I looked at my finger only to see there was a CHUNK of my skin missing. I calmly and politely told the manager and they just said "sorry" and gave me a discount. The manicurist came over and rolled her eyes at me saying "it's not a big deal" I did not tell the manager to complain or to get a discount. I told the manager because IT SHOULD BE A CONCERN IF YOUR EMPLOYEES MAKE YOUR CUSTOMERS BLEED. I was just looking for a sincere apology that I did not receive. I've gone here since they opened up and never had any problems before. I have never felt so disrespected by someone older than me before in my life. While their work is good I will never go to a place that makes me feel this awful and stabs their customers. Everyone in the salon was looking at us and two women contemplated leaving so I KNOW this was not my fault or an overreaction. read more

Love this nail salon! Great pedicures and shellac! I go in every few weeks to get a fill with shellac. Prices are great, tech's work well with you. I've been coming here for almost a year. They fo get busy, so call ahead if you can. read more

I did Shellac and although they look really pretty, I'm not very impressed with how they're holding up. By day 4 they all started to peel off on the edges. Also, while I was getting them done, the lady had finished and was going back with the little cuticle clipper thing and accidentally tore off part of the polish. Instead of redoing that nail she added about 7 new coats to cover up the mistake. That irritated me because it looks noticeably thicker, but I was already there for so long and needed to get back to work. Anyways, not a great experience even though the environment was nicely decorated. Won't be going back. read more

Fancy Nails - I went to get a Shellac manicure, the lady was rude and she didn't do a good job! The service was not good. - Nail Salons Near Me - College Station, Texas

Becareful making appts for nails then have your manicure rushed and bubbled for walk ins. Rude and im so dissapointed for the shoddy work

TERRIBLE! If I could give lower I would! I went in just wanting a tip added and either dip or shellac on top! I was told okay and to sit there. I chose my color (yep, I was rushed) and when I chose it, they said well it's almost gone but I'll try and make it work! Umm no, I'll just pick another! So I told my technician I wanted to change my color. She made a deep sigh of just being annoyed and stomped her feet to get the colors. I chose my color. Now here comes the frustrating part. She started to add Acrylic to my nails. I have NEVER gotten acrylics and didn't want them, because I've seen how they can hurt and damage nails. When I asked her to not add it she started telling/yelling "this is what you want. This is what you asked for!". I told her no. It's not what I want. She just kept repeating that I was wrong and TRIED TO KEEP GOING! The manager finally came over and told her what to do to fix it and give me what I wanted. TO MAKE IT WORSE THEY ARE MOR EXPENSIVE! I got a mimosa and a better manicure at Red Carpet for CHEAPER! She started to do the whole process, but never asked me about the shape or length! The nails were so heavy I couldn't stand it! I wanted a light pink and I got a nude. The colors didn't match and I left and wanted to cry at how disappointed I was! I went to red carpet nails to get them re-done and they did them PERFECTLY! These don't look too bad in the picture, but they were awful! read more
