Preface: I have been going here for at least 5 years & I usually have great experiences!! HOWEVER, this review is directed towards the last visit I had with Erica. I got dip & she cut 8 cuticles & gave me a really painful manicure. When I flinched & started bleeding, she did not respond in any way. She was very kind when greeting me when I came into the shop but cutting the majority of my cuticles was unacceptable. I HATE MY NAILS ‼ This was my first experience here and I'm so disgusted with my manicure & experience. The young girl doing my nails was told I wanted French Tip Shellac nails. However, I did ask for a cuticle soak and trim first only to be told that using the nail file was easier. I insisted that I get a cuticle soak and trim and the girl looked exasperated but complied. She was VERY rough cutting my cuticles but I thought, "Maybe she just has a heavy hand." She got the job done but my finger cuticles are still sore this morning from how rough she was with them. She then proceeded to use regular tips & when I commented that I wanted French Tips she said she would do it with Shellac. I was confused but thought, "Ok, maybe this way is a different way." After she put my tips on, she IMMEDIATELY cut one of my nails very short and THEN asked if the length was ok. Kinda backwards but she had already glued and cut so I went along with it this time even though I had planned on getting them longer. I should've followed my gut instinct that was screaming for me to get another technician Also, as she was filing my nails, my nail bed burned and I had to pull away several times and tell her so. By the time we left it was already 6:30 & getting dark. My two young daughters loved their experience but were needing dinner so we left kinda in a hurry after I paid and tipped everyone. I didn't notice til I got home but every single nail has powder in it and some "tips" are still very crooked The length makes my fingers look stubby and instead of going to work looking professional, I'm going in embarrassed for anyone to look at my fingers. Looking back I realize I should've spoken up from the beginning and asked for someone else but we had already waited so long to be seen. I will be going back to speak to someone about this and hopefully get it fixed because this is completely unacceptable! I will come back with an update afterwards. read more

If you are looking for great nail service in BCS, Nail Spa is the way to go. Very well trained staff and a large, clean, professional shop. For dip nails you can go much longer than 2 weeks because the base of the nail is smoothed so well. No rough spots growing out. Nails are never thick or uneven. No wine but there's a Keurig machine . I went in today for SNS dip and they charged me $45 for the nail technician to spend a total of 20 minutes on my nails. She broke my thumb nail, kept filing into the nail bed until it started to bleed, kept dipping my bloody thumb into the communal dip powder, then painted over the open wound with top coat to make it stop bleeding. I am missing an entire chunk of my nail and there is exposed, damaged nail bed. Sanitation issues aside, I'm now trying to pry nail glue off of my bleeding finger to sanitize it so that it doesn't become infected, and the manicure doesn't even look satisfactory. Stay away from this place. Update: four hours later it's still bleeding. read more

My daughter went to this establishment for a pedicure on Saturday 3/06/2021. Who ever gave her the pedicure chopped her toenail so short that she has what looks like the start of an ingrown toenail. They cut her nail on an angle so far back to the cuticle that in a 24 hour time span that it is inflamed and looks like the beginning of an infection. Any professional would have known better than to cut the nail that far back. Needless to say she won't be making another appointment with this establishment again. read more

Nail Spa truly proves themselves superior time and time again! This is my favorite salon for a reason..they are just terrific. Yesterday, I went to go get a mani and pedi. I had selected a green color, but when the manicurists noticed it was a lighter shade than intended, he calmly, stopped and asked me if I liked the color or wanted to change it. That one action meant so much to me. I am a very passive person, so personally, I would have never said anything myself, but I didn't like the color and would have resented myself for choosing it. After agreeing with him that it was a bit too light, he found the perfect shade that I just love. Not to mention he was the most gentle manicurist ever!! This was the worst experience I've had at this place. I went to get a Brazilian wax and after 45 minutes the lady basically gave up and still managed to charge me for the most awful experience. Not only do they double dip their sticks they reuse the strips until it's just so disgusting! The lady continued to explain to me that she doesn't do Brazilians anymore because they take too long, I even asked for another attendant and she said no it's okay I'll finish it. AFTER LEAVING THIS AWFUL PLACE I WILL NEVER RETURN. I also went down the street to the European Wax center and they fixed me up!! They were astonished at the result of my Brazilian at Nail Spa! Moral of the story DO NOT GO HERE FOR WAXING!! Go to European Wax center! To make things worse if you make an appointment it won't matter because there is absolutely no communication between the staff and half the time do not know what's going on. I am so frustrated with their work. I asked if Kim (male) was able to do Star nail art (showed him a picture from Pinterest) and he confirmed he could. After he made the outline of them and asked if it was okay, I said yes the placement and asked if he was going to fill them in - he said yes. I was waiting for him to fill them in but then he said "done". I then said uhhh these do not look like in the picture. you can see holes through them AND the paint strokes. He said "it's too late". No offer to fix them OR apology. So I walked up to the counter and told the receptionist "this is what my nails are supposed to look like this is what they look like. What can we do to fix it?" and she had no answer (no discount, no apology) then the nail artist said, after i complained to the cashier, "we can just take them off " OK so we got to take them off. Then they charge me $25 for the shellac manicure ($3 take off charge) and I said "because he messed up my nails?" and the cashier again had no response and spoke to her supervisor. Once the nail artist heard he started speaking very loudly and then came up to my in a semi-aggressive way to say it was my original shellac removal. THAT makes sense but their customer service is absolute crap. I will NEVER come here again or recommend it. If you want nail art or adequate service - go to another salon. read more

I read a review of Marysol, and booked an appointment for the day before A&M school started. Marysol is awesome and did an excellent job! She is not only great at her job (you can tell she has years of experience) but she is such a kind person. She was very helpful in choosing my nail color, took her time with my shellac nails, and inspected each one before moving on. She also did my toe polish and did a wonderful job. The building itself is huge and is very clean. The girls at the front were very nice helping me sign in as it was my first visit, and the option to schedule your appointment online was a great feature as well. I will be back! read more

I went on 4th of July, my husband Murray got me a surprise mani and pedi!!! It was pretty slow which made for a great atmosphere! Everyone was relaxed! I have had shellac done on my nails multiple times from shops in this town and they have never lasted more than a few days. I'm at a week and 3 days and the shellac is still perfect! I chose a Cool Mint Pedicure that is only $26! The pedicure was amazing, and I hate and feel horrible for saying this, but I loved that she didn't try and have a conversation with me. I like to go in, clear my mind and enjoy the me time. The massage was amazing even if it was only 5 min. And my toes looked great! The Shellac Manicure was also a wonderful quiet experience, she just tapped which hand she needed. It was perfect! And still is after a week and 3 days!!!! Can not wait to go back! read more

The person who did my nails was very nice, but was a little sloppy overall. I gave a reference photo but he didn't seem to quite understand (it was just a white and light pink ombré). He went to a dark purple color and I had to help pick a much lighter color (to match the reference photo) but it was still too dark (partially my fault for not making him grab more options). I have been going to nail spa since I moved here last year. I took a short break from getting my nails done after getting covid, and was excited to get a new set with my roommate for Halloween. The service since I took my break had been abysmal. First of they charged me 5$ for coffin nails (my nails are the purple nails, and they are more squoval than anything) 5$ for long nails. My roommates nails are the black and red nails. Which were chunky and also supposed to be "coffin". When going to the front to ask about the charges for "long nails" the man up front was very rude, and told me my roommate was lucky not be charged for long nails and I needed to just accept it and pay. Honestly I wasn't impressed with how the nails were done, my roommates look terrible, and being charged an extra 10$ for a "coffin shape" and long nails is ridiculous. I've been here twice, once without an appointment and once with an appointment. I highly suggest making an appointment. Without one I waited over an hour for an acrylic refill. With one I waited about 25 minutes past my appointment time, but this was after Covid. Both times they did an amazing job on my nails. I don't usually get pedicures, but the tech who did mine did good and didn't make me uncomfortable. I came here a few days ago (Thursday) and asked for just shellac nail polish without a manicure. The nail tech filed my nails and trimmed my cuticles. When I got to the counter to pay it was $20!! I have never heard of pricing like that just for shellac. Every other place I've gone to does it for $10-12. The only thing I think of for charging this crazy price is that they charged me for a manicure as well. However; if that's their manicure it was completely awful. There was no massaging or really caring for my nails at all. I found her to be very sweet, but not worth the price. I wish I could get my money back because the polish is already chipping after a few days. I usually get shellac done on my nails every 3 or 4 weeks. I've never had them chip this quickly. Quite literally typing this as I'm on my way home. I'm not a frequent visitor of the Nail Spa, and only came because a friend recommended the spot and informed me that they were less pricey than other locations. I was greeted just fine and there was no issue with hospitality, but I was extremely upset with the way my set came out. I've never had a worse job done in all the 5 years that I've been getting my nails done. The acrylic was chunky, and before complaining, I was supposed to walk out of the shop with a paint job that left .5 inch of empty space between my cuticle and the nail. My square nails ended up being rounded and look more squ-oval than anything, which I'm not satisfied with as well. You honestly get what you pay for and I will NEVER EVER be returning to this spot ever again. For anyone reading I recommend The Nail Lounge which has never failed me. A great place to go if you're willing to spend a couple extra bucks. read more

I do not recommend you go to this place unless you want crooked nails and polish that does not go all the way to your nail bed. They would not redo them. $59 thrown to the dogs just like that. Update: 100% not going back. I had Van (again, and not by choice) and got French tips this time. Not only did he rush through the entire service, but he messed up my pinky and then stopped and snapped, "LOOK. YOU messed this up." I was so bewildered I didn't even know what to say. And I mean no disrespect whatsoever, but fix it? That's your job? Why are you blaming the customer when you clearly did it and you just didn't realize? I had felt his hand nudge my finger before I placed it into the UV light and didn't think he had actually messed up the nail, so I knew for a fact it was him. Even if it was my fault, was that really necessary? Were you expecting an apology when you could have just taken care of the problem? He fixed it but not without huffing and puffing and mumbling under his breath for the remainder of the service, which was a good 15 more minutes of me wanting nothing but to leave because of how rude he was. He also did a sloppy job on another nail, and seemed so irritated I asked him to fix it. If I'm going to pay $5 extra on top of shellac prices for tips, they should be perfect -- that's not too much to ask. Maybe if you weren't rushing, you wouldn't have messed up the nails. If you aren't going to treat your customers right, you don't deserve my money. Going elsewhere with 0 regrets. Also my nails chipped after 4 days -- pictures attached. Also despite the fact that it was clearly the tech's fault that my original review was poor to begin with and the manicure was bad, there wasn't an apology from the owner. "I wish you had gotten a better manicure...but don't be afraid to say something". So it's still MY fault despite your tech's incompetence? SERIOUSLY? Also given the fact that this tech gets so snappy about asking him to fix anything, do you think your customers would be comfortable asking for touch ups? Train your staff better before blaming your customers, and seriously, have more class than that. read more

I've been to Nail Spa multiple times, and with each consecutive time the experience deteriorates. There are many nail technicians that work there, so you really never know who you're going to get. For the last two times that I've come in for a shellac manicure, I've gotten Cody. I asked him both times to square off my nails and he gives me affirmation that he will but does not. This most recent visit, he rushed through the entire process and the coats on my nails are completely uneven and my nails are anything but square. My advice is just to beware of your technician, because the rest of he experience isn't bad. read more

Gave me a bacterial nail infection!!!! I have been going to nail spa for over 4 years and Kim was amazing. I went for a refill and she was off work so they put me with 'the best they had'. He didn't trim the lifted part of my nails, argued with me for 10 minutes about how I HAD to let him change the shape of my nails because they looked bad and after telling him THREE times not to change the shape, he did it anyway. He even gave me a bacterial infection on my nail!!! I tried contacting them about this and they never replied. Extremely disappointed after being such a loyal customer. read more
