Very nice inside, despite outside appearance. I wasn't super happy to hear they charge to remove your dip nails, but I was ok with it. I have been trying to find a nail salon for the last 4 years. Every single one I've been to in college station has been overpriced and crappy to say the least, but not Bliss. The techs do fantastic work for a reasonable price. I pay a little bit more here than normal (5-10 max) but it is well worth the quality, customer service, and end result. I really wanted to like this place because they do nice work, and the owner and staff are friendly with good pricing. On my third appointment, I had to get my nails cut short, and the stylist snipped me with the clippers and filed open the wound. This would have been forgivable (she was young), but in addition to that pain (and the annoyance that came with having to wear a band-aid and finger condom when I was hoping to have pretty nails), I'm now dealing with a fungus that appeared a few days after my appointment. It showed up on my fingers and toes, presumably because they are too cheap to switch out a 10 cent file between customers. So stupid. read more

I called for a nail appointment, they required my credit card information to make my appointment. i went in for my appointment and the owner said they required a mask. I've had Covid-19 and had 2 vaccines. I choose not to wear a mask. The employee refused my service. I get my credit card statement 1 month later and Bliss Nail Salon had put $45.00 of unauthorized charges on my bill. Got a full set of nails. Had a younger girl who paid close attention to detail!! The best thing was she pushed back and trimmed my cuticles which I have never had done without asking. I've started to call it "my" nail salon since I haven't really frequented the same nail salon in BCS until this one. $22 for a pedicure...and they have upgrade options...there are some places with better massage chairs...but those places are usually packed...and I don't think worth the wait since this place has all the necessities. you can find cheaper places in BCS with coupons...but $22 is par for the course. Don't EVER buy a gift card from BLISS. If I could give a Zero Stars I would. Buyer Beware - Don't Purchase Gift Certificates as They Don't Honor To say I am disappointed in the integrity of Bliss Nail Spa, College Station is an understatement. I was given a gift certificate to Bliss by my sister in May of 2021. I have gone to Bliss in the past and have enjoyed the experience. However, during the Covid 19 pandemic, Bliss went from a walk-in and appointment-based salon, to primarily an appointment-based salon. I had tried to make several appointments but since I work full time and have 3 children there were not appointment times that worked with my schedule (they were often booked out 2-3 weeks on the weekends when I am available). During the late summer/fall I did have Covid as did the members of my family, limiting my ability to schedule for 2 weeks around each person's bout with the illness. On December 13th I called Bliss again to try and schedule and appointment and to confirm that I would be able to use the gift certificate as the dates shown on the gift certificate were from 5/7/21 - 9/30/21 (just over 4 months). The manager said that those dates sounded strange and asked me to send an Instagram message to them and include a picture of the gift certificate. I did that immediately and was messaged back that they would look into it and get back to me. I was NEVER CONTACTED BACK BY ANYONE at Bliss. On Saturday March 12th 2022 I went into Bliss to schedule an appointment and verify that I could still use the gift certificate. I asked to speak to the manager to verify. Tam, one of the managers, was busy with a customer so the male manager came over to address the question. He looked up my phone number thinking they had replied to me in December but couldn't find any text. I showed them the Instagram message and the lack of response and he went to discuss it with Tam. Tam told me they would come up with a solution and get back with me before the end of the day on 3/12/22. I did NOT receive a call, text or message from Bliss as promised!! On Tuesday March 15, after not having any correspondence from Bliss, I messaged them again asking for some sort of resolution. I got an Instagram message at 11 pm on Tuesday March 15, 2022 stating that they "value me" and because "I never received their previous response" they would give me until April 30th, 2022 to use the gift certificate at 1/2 the value. In essence, I could use $20 dollars of the $40 dollars that my sister had prepaid them for a service. Bliss will NEVER have the business of me or my sisters and I tell everyone I know of the horrible customer service and terrible communication!! Please Beware!! DO NOT BUY GIFT CERTIFICATES FROM THIS COMPANY THEY WILL NOT HONOR YOU OR YOUR MONEY!! read more

Looking for a brutally painful manicure experience? Then Pretty Nails is just what you're looking for. I know that souds harsh, but the guy seriously made FIVE of my fingers bleed using nothing but a nail file. Talk about torture! I've been here a few times and I've only had one truly horrible experience- when the guy did my nails. I should have known to grab my things and run when the woman had to show him how to file... not kidding. The 3 other times I've been, the woman at the front, right table has done my nails and they've been great (she saved my fingers and finished the manicure and she's the only reason I didnt give this place 1 star). Came here for a pedicure, and it's the best pedicure I've gotten by far. They spend so much time on your feet and your feet turn out SUPER soft. I came here with friends, because a previous nail salon messed up a simple shellac nail procedure (nails were chipping on the SECOND day). The people were SO nice. I told them about the other place and they fixed my nails in addition to giving me a pedicure. They seem to use a better quality top coat compared to the other place too, and have much better technique. Also to the girl who complained about her fingers bleeding after a nail file... that's what happens when you go in with short nails and the person working on your nails isn't lazy and wants to give you a nice shape. read more

I waited 30 minutes before my pedi was started, and they didn't offer me a drink until my Pedi was started. The massage chair was pretty rough, as was my pedicure. Drying light for pedis was broken. I went to this nail salon for about 3 years. They used to do a very good job on acrylic nails and waxing my eyebrows for a reasonable price. I am not sure if they have new people or what, but I went in last week to get my nails done for a wedding and eyebrow wax. My nails lasted all of five days before they cracked and broke off. The girl that did my eyebrows, (I previously ALWAYS had the older lady do it) she was rough, it hurt more than it should, and ripped off half of one eyebrow. It seemed like she was trying to rush through it despite not having any other customers. I will be looking into a different place in B/CS because I will not be coming back here. read more
