He seems in a sour mood every time I go there and if you ask for anything changed (more rounded or an extra coat) he acts annoyed and ends up cutting up your cuticles and fingers. I chose KV Nails because of the five-star reviews on Yelp. I have no idea how this salon could have all of these great reviews, unless I am the only extremely unfortunate client to have experienced my nail tech. I do not know her name, she never introduced herself to me or even spoke to me. I was visiting College Station for an extended time and was unable to get home to my regular nail salon, so this was my first time to KV Nails. I was expecting a great gel manicure after reading all of the positive reviews. The person who greeted me at the door seemed very nice and helped me choose the polish, then handed me off to the tech. No introduction, she just led me to a station and the tech appeared. About midway through the tech drilling the old gel off my nails and using cuticle scissors repeatedly to cut my nails, I realized things were off and I told her just to apply regular polish rather than begin the gel application. I should have stopped the process completely mid-drill polish removal, because I now have wrinkles and divots in my nails and the breakage is terrible because they are so thin. I knew something was very wrong when she applied the nail polish and it was wavy and not uniform, so she kept adding coats. By that evening it was all chipping off. Now, over a month later, I still can't get any nail polish or even clear strengthener to uniformly stick and my nails are always jagged and breaking. Today I finally let my nail tech at my home salon take a look to see if she could help in any way. I wanted to wait to post this review to let her assess. She was mortified. She said my nails were so thin and damaged and the KV tech had applied too much pressure with the drill, thus all the divots, wrinkles and breakage. My tech did the best she could to file the ends and even them out, but did not want to apply any polish or gel and risk further damage until they have grown out. She wants me to keep them very short and filed down in the meantime. Are zero stars possible? The fact that they let this tech perform manIcures without training or supervision, ruining an unsuspecting client's nails and risking the salon's reputation, is beyond comprehension. read more

I decided to give the shop a try on a whim after a bit of window shopping at TJ Maxx. I didn't know what to expect when I walked in and saw that it was pretty quiet. But this shop was amazing, exceeding my expectations! The technician (owner maybe?) was fantastic. He paid such close attention to detail and was very sensitive to a nail bite and small cut that I had. I was also a bit surprised at how quick he did the dip refill given that the previous location had me sitting under a UV light for an eternity. People, take note! He was super sensitive when using drill on my cuticles & actually trimmed them properly! I found my new go to for manis! read more

I've been a customer for a few years now and they are amazing. The staff is friendly and do excellent work. A huge bonus for me is how clean the salon is. The foot soaking tubs are lined in plastic and replaced and cleaned between each customer. Also, I think the instruments are sanitized via autoclave. read more

Great service all around. I came in around 630 for a nail dip. Quickly got them finished and they looked great! I was too tired to get a pedicure and they were closing soon so I came back to get a pedicure. So 2 different visits, both absolutely great! They spent a lot of time on the details of my nails and massage and it was great! Very nice people. And huge parking lot. They were very eager to go home at the end of a long day, but a lady came in for a full set and pedicure 15 min before closing and they did not turn her away. I'm definitely not recommending people do this and to try to schedule it to where they will be leaving at 7:30 when they close. But it was nice to see that. 10/10 will be back read more
