Today was my second time coming here. And I was disappointed. The young lady Star, that did my toes was just rough when cleaning my toes. Not only was she rough but she missed a couple steps when cleaning my foot and proceeded to give me ONE Luke warm towel. The experience felt very rushed and nobody was in there getting pedicures but myself and another lady. Who else is tired of spending money at these nail salons just for the experience to be a one outta 5? Hence why I won't be coming back. I would like to first start off by saying, I am very disappointed in my nails set that I received yesterday. I originally messaged (Kathey) one of the workers at this location to ask if she could achieve this set of nails that I wanted she told me that she could and also gave me a price, so when I arrive to my appointment, I expected that price that she gave me and no other. I was pricked twice during my manicure and I was left bleeding with open wounded scabs my hand is throbbing of excruciating pain. Also, one of my nails are crooked, which I noticed in the beginning of her doing my set she told me she would fix it and it never got fixed so you would think by now with me having bleeding nails open wounds and a crooked nail that money should've been taken off from my set. Well it was not. She even charged me more than what she told me in the beginning. How could you charge someone for mistakes that you've made and I'm also leaving with bleeding nails in pain not to mention the pain got worse when I got home. I am very dissatisfied and I would like a total refund. I do not recommend coming to this location at all for any circumstances if you're gonna leave in pain and be charged for someone causing that. I also would like to include that she had no remorse for her hurting my finger and I am a loyal customer. I've always paid her over 100s of dollars for my sets in this way that I was treated was disgusting and I wouldn't recommend or wish this on anybody. read more

TAKE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! Kathy is the owner/manager, she is greedy. They dont care about you All they see is money signs with every customer. The employees & kathy , all they do is fight over clients. My wife called in the morning on aug 4 to book an appointment with Star on sunday aug 4 and kathy said she was booked and my wife texted star to let her know if she has a last-minute cancellation and turns out star WAS NOT booked on aug 4. Star was available and WE HAVE PROOF! That day , my wife had an event to go to, and only needed her nails done. Why would you do that as the manager /owner that's very unprofessional!!! We are very disappointed and we have been coming here for years and my wife used to go to Kathy! We love coming to star and we both will keep going to her, especially after what Kathy did!!!!! Not sure why it says walk-ins welcome. They had me seated at a pedi chair for over an hour. Meanwhile a lady who walked after I did, sat down after I did, was assisted first, not only for her pedi but then a second person came to do her hands. The whole time my feet were soaking. Well this is my fourth time patronizing this nail salon and I must say it is one of the best I've been to in a long time. All of the staff are pleasant and friendly. Since the place was so warm and inviting I started bringing my six year old daughter with me and she enjoys the experience just as much as I do. They interact with her so well, even fix her nails several times and understand that she's just six lol. My nails are always on point and beautiful. I haven't had any nails break and I type daily as well as wash dishes and tend to a household. My girl Cici did her thing with this set. I was a loyal client from the beginning when they opened. I would only go with ONE specific person, bc I quickly noticed not one individual at Fanci Nails had the delicacy of Evan. He was very detailed & ensured I was completely happy. Unfortunately he left & I tried with other techs. Huge mistake, we are simply a number to them and there's no urgency to cater to a loyal client... or ANY client in fact. It seemed that every time I went to the salon I was charged a mysterious fee. $3 for cutting, $3 for short design. $5 for too long nails?! Each time a different excuse as to why they charge those fees, yet... each time it's different. No consistency. It's when THEY want. It's unfortunate that I have to find another place. By the way the ONLY reason why they have such a high score on GOOGLE & FACEBOOK is because when they initially opened they gave a $5 discount for each positive review. I sent my niece here to get her nails done. The nail tech threw her hands around and talked on the phone the whole time. She brought chrome powder along with her. It's pretty simple to apply. He couldn't figure it out, wasted the product and said it was no good. So my niece did it herself. He charged her $15 to apply her own product. She asked for coffin shape, got square and was still charged $3 for coffin. She had to shape her own nails when she got home. Waste of money. Time to find a new salon. read more

The reason for their 3 stars is that they refuse to tell their clients to get off the phone and FaceTime. You come here to relax and you get to listen to everyone's phone conversations and FaceTime calls. If they had a no phone call policy or asked people to go outside this place would be 5 stars. The customer service was on point! They were very attentive and friendly. They acknowledge my sister and I right away as soon as we walked in. Sometimes as women we don't always go prepared and know what we want and/or we get indecisive with so many polish colors and styles lol But they were nice to attend to our needs and were able to help us narrow down our choices. It is a nice, relaxing and clean nail salon and the prices are reasonable. Our nails were filed and polished to perfection. Excellent place to get your nails done. Upon walking in- holy wall of color!! So many colors to choose from- OPI AND Essie colors. As well as gel and dipping colors. Impressive!! My pedicure was insanely relaxing. Everything is used once and then thrown away except for the meta tools- which are immediately placed in an enclave. The massage chairs are great except for the butt pump- had to turn that off. The full set took a little longer, but my nails came out exactly as I asked. For a new business- they seemed very organized. I had an awesome experience the first time I visited and my nails were almost prefect. The 2nd time however... In 2018, I think it's shady for want business to have a website with prices that they don't honor. Like I told them the first visit, i was not familiar with the sns powder technique, but I had heard and seen good things about the process so I got them. They used acrylics because my nails weren't long enough yet to get the powder without them they said. So before I set my appointment for the refill, I checked the website, fill for sns powder $30. Went in for my appointment and they gave me a different price. When I showed them the website, they refused to honor their set price, after having already started! Horrible customer service and shady dealings in my opinion, so I will definitely not be back. read more

My aunt and I were looking into getting our nails done again. We decided to go to Fanci Nails, about 1:00 PM. The lady checking us in was very nice. The time waiting was about 15 minutes, pretty good for the time and how busy it was. But the quality of the nails are HORRIBLE!! I asked for about 3 on a sticker, and they gave me less than a 1!! They are too thick, are uneven, and are oddly shaped. Nice customer service, but horrible quality. read more

When I went to pay they told me it was going to be $60, $27 for the pedi and $33 for the gel manicure. Pulled up their website on my phone to show them the deal I was talking about and the manger spent the next 10 minutes explaining to me why I was wrong and the $45 was for a pedicure done with gel polish. I recently visited this nail salon because it was close by and I was in desperate need of a mani/pedi before my friend's bridal shower. My friend and I got there at about 6:45, they were a little busy but told us to pick our colors and have a seat. We didn't wait very long before we were taken back for our pedicures then were sat next to each other and done at the same time for our manicures. Overall they did a pretty good job and had a nice selection of colors. I would probably go back if I was on that side of town. read more

This review is based solely on their mani and pedi services. I give my experience 3.5 stars (rounded up to 4). I walked in on a Saturday evening and it was pretty busy. I was greeted by Jesse and told it was going to be about a 15 minute wait, ended up being 30 minutes but they did apologize. My nail tech, I believe her name was Alice was very sweet and friendly. Before coming here I checked out the prices. Services are discounted until April 30th as part of their grand opening promo. A mani & pedi is $31 right now, but regular is $39. I felt that is a bit pricey but since I live so close, I decided to check it out anyway. I'm not going to lie, I probably got one of the best pedicures I've ever had. It was pretty extensive for just a 'regular' pedicure as she used different soothing agents on my legs (cooling gel, hot towel wrap and all natural fruit scrub) and I was given a hot pack towel for my shoulders, it was all very much needed and made me fee relaxed! My manicure was okay, nothing spectacular but noting to complain about. She did a great job and my nails looked pretty. The employees seemed very focused on their clients and weren't chatty amongst each other like other salons are. The salon is very pretty, spacious and clean. Not sure if I'd come here too often but I would surely come back for another relaxing pedicure. read more

Salon is quite beautiful, so good impression upon arrival. Started with a pedi and the bowl for feet was pretty, nice towel and warm something put around my shoulders. Was asked if I wanted a razor for callus, which is normal to me, but to be charged $5??? Then on to my manicure.....I had a gel french, one hand was so bad it had to be redone. When I got home I had to fill the rough edges on that hand. When I was paying my 70 dollar bill is when I found out about the extra $5....I questioned it and even customers turned around in surprise saying "I know"....never before have I paid my bill and not given a tip! read more

UPDATE: second visit was a disaster! They lose a star from me from 5 to 2, Nails are ok after kathy fixed them but after 2 hours of having the guy file and stare at my nails talking under his breath. With an attitude because i asked him what is taking so long he responded with oh are you in a hurry ? NO IVE BEEN HER FOR 2 hours and have seen 5 people come and go and im still here. Not sure ill come back unless jessy can do my nails because wow . No bueno ! Oh and they charged me $5 for length that I was not told about. Fyi Finally!!!!!! I found a nail salon that I love!!! I did the dip nails in a beautiful gray color. I originally went in wanting an acrylic full set but they recommended the dip gel as being better for my nails. I am so happy I listened. I love them. They feel lightweight and natural. The process was fast and they look great. I got them in an almond shape and am very happy with my results. When I sat down after picking my color, they cleaned my hands with a warm towel and it felt amazing. He did the nails asking me after every step if I was happy or if there was anything he needed to fix to let him know. I had no complaints. One nail seemed slightly crooked and he fixed it no problem, no blaming my finger or brushing me off like I don't know anything about nails. After I washed my hands he put on the final nail polish coat and massaged my hands all the way up to my elbow. When it was time to pay, I was added to a client database where I can accumulate points for discounts. I sure will be racking up points as I will definitely be a regular from now on. I had my nails done here because my friend does, with Jesse, and she loves it. I hadn't had my nails done in several years because I'm worried about damaging them. I finally caved and me and my sister joined her. We both had our nails done by Kathy. I tried to tell her the shape that I'd like and she said that she would make them look natural. We both ended up with what looked like press on nails. 12 days later, one of mine popped off and my nail was green underneath. I then pulled my thumbnail off because it looked like it had a shadow and now I was super concerned. It was super green. I rushed to a salon by my house and, luckily, they were able to squeeze me in. 7 out of 10 of my nails were green!! Imagine if I had kept them on for weeks! My favorite nail place in orlando hands down! Kathy is my nail tech and really cares about the actual health of nails. Which is something that i have found a lot of other places put on the back burner. You can tell she loves what she does and it shows through her work. loves trying new ideas but has a precise technique so i always leave looking clean and classy. She has never cut me and never over uses the drill. My nails last and are stronger then ever. They were packed but I only had to wait 5 minutes. Customer Service was great! I got a pedicure and gel manicure done, nails came out nice. Nina does great work but unfortunately it's always the other employees that give me a hard time. Went to get a mani and pedi the owner told me to sit at #2 and once I was there the employee that sits next to Nina gave me a nasty attitude telling me to "just wait, just wait" which I didn't appreciate at all and sent me back to where I was originally sitting. I've gone to Fanci Nails about 4 times now, primarily because of their vast array of gel, SNS, and acrylic options. They do a decent job, but the best nail tech there is the lady that sits in the first chair by the door (I unfortunately do not remember her name). I like when I can give a technician an idea of what i want and they can figure out the best possibly way to do that. When I tried to have another technician do that, he wasn't able to recreate it and the same lady had to help him fix it. I also do not like how expensive they are and sometimes upcharge for everything, even recommendations they make and then you don't find out until everything is done and it's time to pay. So, I would recommend them for their large selection...but maybe not necessarily for their quality or even their consistency. read more

I have been going to Fanci Nails with a friend now for a few months and am very happy. I tried the dipping powder for the first time and am absolutely hooked! I can't remember the name of my nail tech but he is hilarious and great at what he does. I can't give a 5 star yet bc there is one nail tech who is unfortunately very rude and doesn't seem to care but we have learned to avoid her. Overall I highly recommend going here!! read more

Extremely unhappy with the professionalism and customer service at this nail salon. Had a mani pedi from Kathy. During each cycle of the gel manicure the UV light turned off after 5 seconds. "It's quicker, it works better that way" she said. (Huh?!) I suspect it may have had something to do with the fact that it was after closing time. Well, four nails chipped after three days. I called and the fellow who answered said to come in and they would redo the service. When I arrived Kathy asked who did my nails the first time (ummm, it was you and seeing how I signed in to the iPad checkin with my phone number both times, I'm guessing you are aware of this fact as well). She insisted I must go with the dip this time because "your nails are too short for gel, that's why they chipped". (Mmmm. . . .(A) you filed them down to this length and (B) this has never been an issue with the hundreds of previous gel manicures I've received). But okay, I just want to have this taken care of. After she had the first round of the dip powder adhered to my nails she said "Okay, dip is $40, I'll charge you $35". (Again, and with eyebrows raised more significantly this time . . . "Huh?!). We disagreed for a while. She continued the dip process and at the end of each cycle, casually said "Okay, $35 for dip. Discount". She spent an additional 35 minutes grinding down the dip nails with the manicure drill (they were very puffy). No restitution for the chipped toenails. 90 minutes later I departed with my sore, puffy nails, $35 lighter in the wallet, feeling like a sucker. read more

Instead of waiting 30 mins for a tech I was put on a CRAZY AMAZING massage chair with my feet soaking. They gave me candy while I waited, offered me drinks, and also placed hot pads on my shoulders. Best pedicure up to date!!! With hot towels and multiple massages. I will admit I was there for close to 3 hrs but it was WELL worth it. I've visited this location several times, and every visit has been a wonderful experience. Everyone has been friendly, welcoming, and relaxing! There has only been one time where I got the SNS dipping powder and it didn't turn out the way I had hoped, but they told me to come in to get them redone and I did..and they didn't charge me to fix them which was very nice :) other than that, I've always been pleased with the outcome of my nails!
