I discovered this place from a IG Instagram. A friend had posted her Halloween theme nails on her story and I fell in love with the design and the detail. I reached out to MiLinda on IG inquiring if she was taking on new clients and asking if she would be able to do mine since I'm allergic to acrylic powders and only can use a clear building gel that has to be sculpted on top of my natural nail before shaping. It's a process and very time consuming and I knew there was a chance she would say no. But, instead she was 100% open to trying and taking me on which I was super excited about. All of her appointments are booked from online which was something new for me and not something I'm use too. But I have set reminders for myself so I can get on weekly to book my next appointments 2-3 weeks out. I love that she is super OCD when it comes to doing my nails and making sure they are even and straight. No crooked nails here. Lol. I also love that I can text her my design ideas before my appointment and brainstorm with her colors. I would recommend MiLinda to anyone who is interested in detail but fun nail and not your basic nail color appointment. read more

I have been a customer for years!!! I always get the $55 pedicure, with $10 gel polish and $10 acrylic fill in( big toes ) My services is always $75 and I have always tipped well! The last couple times since David has left, Deboh was with a customer already, I have had to deal with whom ever is available. Yesterday was the worst! This older lady that looked like she was as totally uninterested in providing me quality service from jump! She didn't do my pedicure first she tried to fill in my acrylic. With the ugliest brown powder, my big toe nails looked like I had an ugly fungus infection and the rest of my toes natural color does not match, nor was this the color of acrylic that I had on my toe when I came in. When I said something about it, she gives me the OK OK, and continues to slather more powder acrylic on my toenail. Until I told her that does not look right and to take it off, she gets up go get someone else he comes. He has to shave my toenail bear mind you my cuticles are shredded by now because she had been tearing my cuticles in my nail bed up with her drill. At this point, I am fighting back tears. I tell the gentleman, I have not received my pedicure yet. He stops and tells her to do my pedicure. For context: too young ladies started their pedicure before me and received the basic pedicure. This lady finish my top-tier pedicure before these girls was even finished with their pedicure. I'm watching it in real time. She rushed through didn't do good at all, and it made me feel like it was because I was black so she didn't have to provide great service for me little does she know she lost out on the $20 tip. The gentleman comes back, finish, correcting her mistake. She polished my toes. The polish job is horrible at this point. I'm just trying to hurry up and get out the door. They told me I would get a discount because of the horrible experience I had I get up to the register I get charged my regular $75 then when I started talking, they only take five dollars off. I'm not saying that I wanted it to be half price but I'm walking out with a horrible polish job destroyed nail beds and cuticles and all you took off is five dollars and none of y'all even felt the need to say I'm sorry for your experience today. It's like they feel entitled to our money. The customer service was horrible and after that experience, I can honestly say that was the last straw I would never go there again and I drive a hour away to come and get my feet done not my nails just my feet I'm disappointed because I saw how they were treating the white customers and I saw how they was treating the black customers and if you in there watch it you'll see the same thing I'm talking about yesterday was the first time that I actually paid attention to it because I used to deal with David and David will always give me the same service all the time read more

I do not recommend this place at all. I had a horrible experience today. First of all I sat for 30 mins (just waiting for my service) because they forgot about me. Then the technicians didn't not understand the services very well. The one that did my pedicure did a very sloppy job with the gel polish and it is clumpy and didn't cover all of my toe nails completely or went onto my cuticles and so he didn't remove any of it. Then I wanted dip on my nails (which they offer and advertise) but no one seemed to understood (that should have been my clue to just get gel polish on my fingernails) and finally someone sat down to do it but had to keep asking the owner what to do. He didn't do all of the steps properly and in the end just put clear gel polish over the dip (I think to try and cover up the actual dip polish) WTF! Also it took THREE HOURS to get a classic pedicure and dip nails. Also a neighbor of mine was i. The middle of getting her nails done when someone came in (a walk in) wanting eyelash extensions. Her technician got up and went to attend to the lady wanting eyelashes and was gone for over 45 mins without anyone coming to take care of the lady who's nails were half done. CHOP SHOP REMOVAL. Don't come here unless you don't care about the health of your nails. I came in for a removal and he tried to remove them by ripping them off by forcing another nail between my nail and the later on top. I had to tell him he was hurting me multiple times. Both from ripping the nails off and from the way he was handling my joints/finger tips. The removal was $15, and I've never paid that much for a removal. read more

I got my eyebrows waxed earlier and they got burned and bruised from the waxing. I've never had this happen to me. I'm not sure if the wax was too hot, or the pulling was too rough, but it's painful and I won't be going back to get them done here. It's a shame, because the eyebrow shape is great. read more

The pedicure was amazing as always but my finger nails look awful. it took 40 minutes to get the mail service started after my pedicure. They switched people on me 2 times and then the lady doing my nails tried to convince me I did not want dip. There is always a group of people waiting to get in right when they open and only one or two techs there. You would think they would be more prepared for the crowd. This is the first nail salon I've been to in Savannah and I had a great experience. I'll be back solely for Lisa. She was very sweet and my pedicure was awesome. Only reason I didn't give the place 5 Stars is because of Havier. His customer service was abysmal. I will never request him when I come here. Then the lady put my hands In a bowl of pure acetone to soak off my gel manicure and forgot about me....another 20 minutes. So very unhappy with my all 3 of my experiences at this establishment. Several of my nails were at the breaking point, so I decided to treat myself to a "full set." Paige was my nail tech. She put the acrylic on so thick and messy -- I had acrylic all under my nails. She unfortunately allowed it to dry that way. The acrylic was terribly uneven, didn't even come close to reaching the cuticle on some nails, and had huge ridges up close to the cuticle on other nails. Went back 2 weeks later and had it all removed - my mistake. Even the tech I had this time commented on the fact that the acrylic was way too thick. This time I decided to get the Dip. Came to work the next day and compared mine with my co-workers -- was utterly shocked at the subpar job I had received. They looked extremely dull and the color was faint (I later learned because my nails were only dipped for a split second so the powder didn't adhere well, and only 1 thin coat of the clear topcoat was applied). I was charged $45, which is $10 more than the posted amount. I was told this additional charge was to remove the extra thick coat of poorly applied acrylic from the first visit (which took an hour to grind off). I came back 6 days later expecting that once I showed the manager how bad my nails looked, they would completely redo the dip and not charge a penny. To the contrary, they proceeded to begin grinding off the old dip and were only planning to reapply a clear topcoat. And, of course, they were going to charge me again! I walked out with my nails a complete mess, totally upset, and feeling completely ripped off. Don't go - Save your money!!!! read more

I went to this nail salon under a referral who said that JAVI did her nails and her nails look great... I went to the nail salon on a Saturday night, I asked for him, and after waiting about 20 minutes, he showed up... He asked me what I wanted and I told him I just wanted a gel nail acrylic set put on... Nothing special, nothing fancy... 2 1/2 hours later, he was finally done... Yes, they looked great.... but no joke, less than 18 hours later, one of my fingernails had popped off... I walked in there and had them put it back on... before I forget, I'm not sure how a acrylic gel set and a jail regular pedicure cost me $80... But apparently, that's what it cost and that's what I had to pay... Which was complete horse shit, so anyways, one of my fingernails had already popped off less than 18 hours later and within the first week of having my fingernails on, I am in no way shape or form hard with my hands, I had already had three nails popped off again... I had to go buy some nail glue to put them back on because I couldn't justify wasting $80 in less than a weeks time on fingernails that kept popping off and I didn't want to take the rest of them off... today, actually tomorrow, will be my two week mark... And I can't tell you how many of these fingernails I've had to glue back on due to them popping off just randomly... I will never ever ever go back to the salon... I have even thought about following a credit card dispute with my credit card company because this nail salon is a scam, it is a crock of shit, the worst I've ever seen... The way that he shaped the nails and the time he took to clean up my nailbeds because I have a lot of skin around my nail beds and the painting on the fingernails were beautiful but none of that matters if the fingernails don't fucking stay on... Stay stay stay far far away... $80 fucking later, it was the worst experience, I'm still sick to my stomach that I paid them that much and got a horrible horrible outcome... I started going to this salon a couple of months ago after over a two year search for a salon with the right atmosphere, quality work and professional service. Famous Nails delivers on the ultimate salon experience. It's a beautiful place designed with a lot of care. I have gel powder nails and each time I visited, I was able to relax and enjoy my service with confidence in my tech. My nails have not lifted anywhere or become dull after the three to four weeks between appointments. I highly recommend this salon. My husband and I went for pedicures, was told there was a 10 minute wait, and then were seen separately. Since we were seen separately, we ended up being there over an hour and a half. My lady was nice and did a great, thorough job. His lady (who was older and has done a terrible job on my pedicure in the past) finished and WITH HER DIRTY GLOVES, went and touched the credit card machine up front, the pens and the counter.... it was DISGUSTING. As someone who has been visiting this nail salon since moving to the south side of Savannah, I am very disappointed in how I was handled today. Today I went to get a full set and a pedicure. I knew how much my pedicure was but when my nails were finished, the tech told me my nails not including my pedicure, were 80 DOLLARS! I questioned the price and she told me a full set was now 45 with gel polish, an extra $5 for nail shape, $15 for design and another $15 for length?!?!? When I questioned the owner he said prices have gone up and I should of been told but refused to bring down the price. I love my nails and understand times are hard with the coronavirus pandemic but I planned to give the tech a good tip! I wasn't given the opportunity to. My nail technician was very nice and easy to talk with, but I came out with polish on my skin, a nail that I had to file myself, and one nail that I had to turn around and go back the next day to get fixed because there were bubbles that I just couldn't ignore. Still wasn't 100% pleased with the re-do but I was over it at this point. I loved the color and what she did with a glitter color on my ring fingers, but for a gel polish manicure with some of the missteps that I stated above, it was ridiculously overpriced. I really want to give 5 stars but I just can't! The service was amazing and my nail technician was very detail oriented. I got a Mani Pedi and the service was great. Once of the best pedicures ever and such a great value. But j have to give only 3 stars for the polish! Perhaps the most important thing. That night when I got home I notice a nail had chipped. And then over the next 2 days every single nail had a chip. Even my toes had a chip in them and a pedi usually last me 2 weeks at other salons. My nails had bubbles and the polish wasn't smooth. Worst part is was for a friends wedding and the day of the wedding I found myself searching for nail polish remover to take it off because it looked so horrible.
