First time visiting here in a small town. The inside and decor was absolutley adorable. I love the theme and that they show movies on the projector. They were unfortunately out of some of the things that we wanted. And I would have really liked to see them have some fun craft cocktails which is the only reason I rate 4 stars instead of 5. We got the count Dracula deep dish pizza and made some other pizzas. Super cheesy pizza! The service was fine. Where do I start with this place? What a huge letdown. Six of us went there on a Friday night. The guy up front, who never smiled once, told us it would be a 45-minute wait, but we ended up waiting 1 hour and 25 minutes. There were only two small seating benches in the waiting area. They should definitely take out the souvenir area and make more seating for people waiting. Most people came in and walked out. The other people were stranded next to each other like packed sardines. There was not a lot of seating in the main area, either. It was not really horror-themed as I thought. Mostly, it was a bunch of old vampire horror picture frames on the wall. Nothing was really extravagant. We ordered garlic sticks, bread, and knots, which were pretty tasty. We ordered the taco pizza, which was a bad choice, unfortunately. The pizza was dry, with not enough beans at the bottom. The crust would choke you. I ordered the "I was a teenager cheeseburger pizza", which was another bad choice. I asked for no onions since I am allergic to them, but the pizza came out with extra onions. The pizza looked sloppy with pickles just laid on top instead of being cooked into the pizza. She apologized. I said, "No worries, you can just box it up for my kids and make a new one." She said they couldn't, that they had to throw the pizza away. By the time the remade pizza came out, I was no longer hungry. The nachos were disgusting. I would rather have had tortilla chips. These were made with Doritos. The Doritos were burnt with very dry meat, cheese, and jalapenos on them. There were no tomatoes or sour cream. Overall, everything was dry, burnt, and overcooked.I was hoping that at least the desserts would be extravagant. They were just mediocre. Our waitress never asked to refill my water or offered to do so. She also left the dirty dishes from our appetizers on our table until the end. The bathrooms only have one toilet, so there was a line of people getting frustrated. None of the staff was very friendly at all. Definitely not worth the wait or the money. read more

Totally enjoyed the ambiance here. All the decor was horror movie fodder. And they have two big screens that they play movies on all day. Grinders and salad are good. We ordered their Amity Island special pizza (because it's shark week there). We asked for light cheese on the pizza but it was still heavy cheese. I talked to them about it and said that was indeed light cheese on our pizza. Apparently they go really heavy on their cheese. Buyer beware! We were greeted by the wonderful host, the beginning of all the memorabilia, and a awesome looking marquee!! When you enter through the marquee doorway, you're greeted by 2 huge screens (one at each end) playing a selected monster movie! So cool!! Pizza was simply amazing! The Setup is cool, the pizza is pretty good, but the service is not. Didn't see the server too much, he forgot our drinks a few times and didn't check if we need more. Also messed up our tickets. I want to give an honest review as a grandmother of a three and a half year old. I thought it was kind of geared towards kids, so we go inside and we get seated at a two top which places me across the table from my grandbaby so I had to keep getting up and helping her. I ordered a lemonade for her and it came in a glass skeleton mug instead of a nice safe plastic one so I was stressing over the glass the whole meal. The pizza I ordered, I wanted a half of a pizza I like and the half of the pizza she likes which would be pepperoni and half what I like. I was told they couldn't do that because of the special sauces. So I sacrificed and got a 10-in pepperoni. the breadsticks came, they are very heavy and chewy, good flavor and good cheese could have stood to be maybe a little bit more done. The grandbaby liked it, the service was fairly fast so didn't have to worry about my grandbaby getting antsy. The pizza was pretty and nicely done, but when you picked a piece up all the toppings just slid onto the plate so the two pieces that I had, I had to try to get the toppings back on the pizza instead of just eating plain old tomato crust. Pizza was a 5 out of 10. It just wasn't real "three and a half year old friendly". I can see where older kids would like it. They do show scary movies and where they're not really scary because they're from way back in the day, they were a little scary for a three and a half year old. We had a good time, but just wasn't as kid geared as I thought it might be. There are crayons and the game" a barrel of monkeys" on the table so that did help. The Famous Monster pizza has relocated to 136 N 2nd Street in Decatur. Currently only dining is available. You'll be able to have carry out after June 1 of 2021. The decor is so amazing and quirky. I love the big screen with old monster movies playing. The specialty pizza menu is so unique with names like "Wolf Man" and "Count Dracula" pizzas. . You can have different kinds of sodas and root beer floats! It's so exciting that deep dish is offered too, and it takes only approximately 10 minutes longer than a normal pizza. I tried the taco pizza. I'm in love with a soft yet crunchy crust and I can't believe they crushed up Doritos as one of the toppings on the taco pizza! Such a surprise zing. Parking is ample and the downtown of Decatur is charming. This is definitely worth an hour or two trip for an unique date night or a special date with your kids. read more

I felt like I was paying for the atmosphere. We got garlic knots, jalapeño poppers, 2 different kinds of pizza and sodas. I wasn't too impressed by the garlic knots to start. I saw garlic but didn't taste anything. There was only 4 jalapeño popper (2 whole jalapeños cut in half) and it's cost $5. I ended up not having any of the poppers since my friend loves those but he said they were flavorless. The Poultrygeist pizza was decent but the crust needed seasoning. The Mexican pizza was better but the crust was still lacking. I also got a Mr Hyde soda which exploded all over the table onto my friends laps. The menu does tell you that it can happen which makes me wonder why it wasn't served with towels. Service was decent but could have been better. The atmosphere is great. That's worth the two stars. My party waited about 20-25 mins to be seated. The garlic bread wasn't bad.They were pretty small though. All of the rest of our food was not cooked throughly. Raw dough in all of our pizzas and pizza roll.The salad my pregnant wife got had ham that went bad. We are all sick to our stomachs and will never return. The kitchen must not know what they are doing back there. The table beside us had their pizza brought out to them even more under cooked than our food. The waiter that helped us had to be reminded to bring us the small container of popcorn. That was very stale. The food was also pretty bland and unflavorful. The cheese bread was the only thing was okay to eat. Upon entering the building, we were greeted by very friendly people, however, in a very small waiting area, also where the register was? so it became very congested. We randomly found this pizza place when looking for a place after spending the day at Ouabache State Park. It wasn't too far from our hotel in Bluffton. If you are anywhere near by (50 mins) then you need to check them out. The entire place is filled with monster movie memorabilia. Sort of like Cracker Barrel for classic monster movies. Only cooler because they also have a black and white movie playing with drive-in style speakers at your table. The pizzas (and all of the other food) are named for classic monsters. The vibe is just a lot of fun!! We started with popcorn (love it). I was so surprised when our waitress sat down an entire selection of popcorn flavors!! We had the Mr. Hyde (hamburger, green peppers, mushrooms and a ton of cheese). The crust is so good!! They have a great selection of drinks including old fashion sodas, beers, wines and a glow in the dark (yes I said that) lemonade. I saw this place on tiktok & thought my kids would enjoy it because of the theme (and pizza of course). Decatur is a short drive for us so we went on a Saturday a few hours after they opened. they opened. The place is very cool aesthetic-wise but the service was some of the worst I've ever experienced. The host seated us after a 20 minute wait which isn't bad on a Saturday night. The waitress came by after 20 minutes to take our drink orders (4 waters & 4 milkshakes from their soda bar). After that we didn't see our waitress for 40 MINUTES!!! I could see her leaning against the wall by the kitchen window Bs'ing with the buss boy. She finally came by to get our pizza order & had a nasty attitude. Pizza arrived 20 minutes later & was just ok. A little better than Pizzahut.
