Totally enjoyed the ambiance here. All the decor was horror movie fodder. And they have two big screens that they play movies on all day. Grinders and salad are good. We ordered their Amity Island special pizza (because it's shark week there). We asked for light cheese on the pizza but it was still heavy cheese. I talked to them about it and said that was indeed light cheese on our pizza. Apparently they go really heavy on their cheese. Buyer beware! Food was good though and we would go back even to watch the cheesy (see what I did there?) movies.

A monster movie playing in the seating area with walls lined with memorabilia.

Couldn't wait to try this place as it's been quite some time since I've seen their concept, and I live out of state. We were greeted by the wonderful host, the beginning of all the memorabilia, and a awesome looking marquee!! When you enter through the marquee doorway, you're greeted by 2 huge screens (one at each end) playing a selected monster movie! So cool!! Pizza was simply amazing! A deep-dish style Wolfman is what we chose. So freaking delicious. What a great concept, wonderful folks, and even better pizza!! This is a total win I'm my book, and I plan on coming back soon!! Get your little monsters here now!!

The famous monster pizza is a good place just to eat really cheesy pizza. While you're eating pizza they have a really old black and white horror movies playing so you can watch it. They have pictures and horror movie pictures everywhere. So if you like horror movies and really cheesy pizza. GO TO MONSTER PIZZA!

The restaurant's decorations are great! The pizza and garlic knots were great. The service was okay; no issues and no wow moments.

Frankie was so excited to check out this joint.

Frankie and I were finally able to visit 'our people'. I've been wanting to make drive for over a year to Decatur and check out this place and I was not disappointed. Very unique place and great pizza. Service was great as well. I will be back!

The Famous Monster pizza has relocated to 136 N 2nd Street in Decatur. Currently only dining is available. You'll be able to have carry out after June 1 of 2021. The decor is so amazing and quirky. I love the big screen with old monster movies playing. The specialty pizza menu is so unique with names like "Wolf Man" and "Count Dracula" pizzas. . You can have different kinds of sodas and root beer floats! It's so exciting that deep dish is offered too, and it takes only approximately 10 minutes longer than a normal pizza. I tried the taco pizza. I'm in love with a soft yet crunchy crust and I can't believe they crushed up Doritos as one of the toppings on the taco pizza! Such a surprise zing. Parking is ample and the downtown of Decatur is charming. This is definitely worth an hour or two trip for an unique date night or a special date with your kids.

I'd give 0 stars if applicable, it should be illegal to call this a chicken parm grinder, basically no chicken which was grilled, or out of a can, not much cheese, I'll never be back to this establishment! Totally crap

Found this place by accident while in town for my son's triathlon. Fun atmosphere & friendly staff. Have never been to a restaurant like this ever! Wish we had one in Northern Ky or Cincinnati. Best garlic bread knots I have ever had. We got the hoagies. They were huge and delicious!! Definitely recommend!!

We drove in from the Muncie area for this gem of a restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing! We ordered breadsticks and pizza, everything came to the table piping hot! We loved all the decor and the movie playing(Godzilla vs The Thing). We will be coming back often to this treasure in Decatur!

Watch your bill if paying cash, they automatically add a 3.5% credit card charge to the bill. Food was just OK this time.

Brewery #281 This…read moreplace understands me, it get's me, I'm partially convinced they tapped my brain or my metaverse and said "Let's make a place that caters to this guy, Da Gabe aka Mike Honcho" Bad Dad has taken dad jokes and made a brewery. Beers named 'Socks and Sandals, Pull My Finger, I'll Turn this Car Around' and many more. Their tin tacker is of a slightly obese dad in an undersized sleeveless shirt, headband and white New Balance sneakers riding a beer can. Perfection. Genius! While their humor got me in the door, their pizza and beer will get me to come back. I got my standard flight with I'll Turn This Car Around (Hazy IPA), Kiss the Cook (DIPA), Snooze Button (Imperial Stout) and a Tapestry of Obscenity (IPA). All were really great but The Snooze Button was my favorite of the bunch. We also got a couple of pizzas. A Detroit style called Motown with thick pepperoni, hot honey, and basil which was very tasty and a Margherita pizza that was solid. My only issue was they were out of stickers for my man cave wall but that's just all the reason to go back next time I visit my parents in Indiana.

Kam, our server, took our dining experience to a whole other level. I asked to taste all the beers but the IPAs and was brought a sip of each one, I decided on the "You're Grounded, Mister" Stout. Smooth, with a nice kick of coffee had me order this one twice. Now for the pizza...some of the very best pizza I have ever had. We ordered the "Motown" Detroit style pizza with the Mike's Hot Honey which sent this pizza into orbit and tasted out of the world. The other pizza we ordered was the New Yorker which was a thin crunchy crust pizza and as delicious yet totally different. Plan a trip up to Fairmount sooner than later, this place will not disappoint.

My wife and I stopped in while staying in Marion for the weekend. If we would have found this…read morerestraunt on Friday night, we probably would have dined here both nights. We had the onion rings which were the best we ever had. Hint, ask for the ranch dressing that is made in house.... WOW!! Then we went for a meat lovers pizza that was incredible and made in about 10 min. Due to their awsome brick oven. But, maybe the best part was the service. We had the manager Kim for a waitress and enjoyed a great conversation with her as we were there when it wasn't very busy. Kim... Enjoyed you very much. To sum up, great meal at a resonable price. We would definitely recomend and will be back if ever in the area again.

I was worried it was gonna be some bland, frozen, and bulk bought pizza that you'd typically find in a bowling alley concession stand. However, it was late, I was hungry, and I was feeling a little adventurous...so what the heck! Am I glad I stuck around! The vibe is what it is...a pizza joint connected to a bowling alley in Indiana. Not flashy...no frills...but the server was super nice and took incredible care of us. One of the first wins was being able to get a half and half pizza...all the pizzas looked good and we could just pick one. So glad we didn't! Both were incredible! We got the works and the buffalo chicken pizza! The crust was perfect! Just the right amount of char and crisp you want from a wood oven pizza to hold the toppings as well as a tasty chewiness! The toppings were super flavorful and there was plenty to take home for the next day! I would absolutely come back next time I'm in the area...maybe even walk over and bowl a couple games!
