I normally don't frequent shoe stores, but happened to stop in because a friend wanted to browse. So glad I followed her in because I got two pairs of crocs for the price of one. These crocs I have been eyeing out for months and couldn't justify spending over $60 for ONE pair, were both marked down 50%+ that I was able to get two pairs for less. Cue my happy dance! It shouldn't be this hard. On Christmas Eve I ordered shoes online and wanted to pick them up at this location. When I got there I was stopped at the door by an employee who said the store was to capacity. I told her I didn't want to go in, I was there to pick up shoes I ordered online. She said I would still have to wait. Shortly thereafter a customer came out and she told me I could stand in line. "No," I told her, "I would rather someone bring the shoes out to me." She said that I would have to go inside and wait in line. I said, "You don't have curbside?" She said, "We do but you need to pull your car up here and then call us and you will still have to wait for all these people in line." "Uh... I don't think so, but okay, what number do I call?" "You will have to wait for all of these people in line." That's when I was fed up. I raised my voice and said, "When I pull up, I don't know what number to call!" She then pointed to a sign inside the store propped up against the wall. I took a photo of it with my phone and as I started to leave she repeated, "You still have to wait for all of these people to be rung up first." I told her, "You are making something very simple very difficult for no reason." I went to my car, pulled up, called the number, a man answered the phone and in less than 5 minutes found my order and brought it to my car. --Thank you. The shoes here are overpriced and their policies are for the birds but it is a convenient location and they carry all of the name brands. I just wish the customer service could have been better. One cashier. One. A week before Christmas. There is another two employees wondering aimlessly around the store. 30 minutes in line.

The people that work here are rude as hell! They have changed their hours due to covid, which isn't a big deal. At exactly 6pm, the sales associate came up to me and said "Are you still finding everything ok? Oh, and were closed!" So, then I was walking to the register and the associate manager Janeene said, "Are you almost done? I have to close my register!" My son asked if there was a bathroom and the sales associate said " I can't let you use the bathroom because we don't have any soap." Then she asked the associate manager "Do you want me to sweep or vacuum or mop?" And the associate manager said "I don't care!" And then she laughs...Unfortunately, this isn't the first time an employee at this store has been rude! I get that after a long day all you want to do is go home and kick your shoes off, but come on, at least contain your distaste for your job and indifference for your customers until after they are out of earshot! Because of the rudeness the manager displayed to me yesterday I will never set foot in or purchase from a famous footwear again and I will make sure to let everyone I know to avoid this particular store. I went into the store in Murrieta and received horrible customer service! I called Menifee location to see if they could help via phone before driving all the way there. They answered and I said "hi I'm in the Murrieta store and I was looking for a certain shoe and size " first thing out of her mouth is (very rudely) "we are not holding shoes right now!!! Buy them online!" I replied "I don't see them online and I prefer to buy in store" her response "then we don't have them... bye!" I was in total shock! I went in to the Menifee store last week to return athletic shoes that I bought over 60 days ago and had already worn a few times. The sales person was really nice and listened to my story. She told me that they normally don't give returns on shoes that have already been worn. In my case I thought that the shoes were for some reason too stiff that they were twisting my knee a little and my knees were swelling from them. The sales clerk agreed to give me a credit for the price! The store is really nice and clean. The sales people i had encountered 3 (buying and returning recently) are all really helpful and nice! I would would give this store five stars but their children's selection are limited and would like to see more. read more

Went to buy my son two pair of shoes. Well over 150$. Stood in line for over 20 minutes while one cashier tried to figure out how to help a customer with her payment (evidently the card reader when used has a habit of telling people their card is expired). The employee who was just rummaging through stuff tell the other employee cashier oh that happened all the time just enter it manually. Neither acknowledged me standing in line for 20 minutes while they rang up the one customer. BEWARE!!!! of the Bait & Switch on all their pricings. I ran in the other night to see if my chance I could purchase black high heels for an Award event the next morning. All the price tags were in RED with a SALE Price of $29.99 on two whole rows of shoes. After much searching through all the shoe boxes because not a one was organized with matching size to matching shoe box-Grrrr !!! Sale dude couldn't even make sense of them- Ha! Finally, take my selection to the counter which she rings up $44.99 ??? What happen to the sale adveritised at $29.99 on two rows of shoes??? She said that the customers did it -OMG and the price is $44.99- So I told her where to put her false advertising -Join me in reporting these stores to the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION and put a stop to this crime ! read more

I am definitely not the target demographic for this store, but this place kinda sucked. Somehow while on our way to Best Buy to purchase a new TV, the girlfriend detoured me into this store. No biggie, we're getting a TV, right? We were greeted as we walked into the store. Then about every 5 minutes someone came up and asked if we needed any help. At first I thought it was nice, but while waiting almost an hour on my girlfriend, it was getting annoying. The benches were the best part of the experience until some unruly, untamed, and uncontrolled kids came near me. Is it wrong that I wanted to start throwing shoes at their mother? Checkout was a whole nuther story. Some lady in front of us was doing some exchange deal or something. All I know is there was more paperwork being thrown around than when I bought my Toyota. As we were waiting for at least 10 minutes for this lady in front of us, I couldn't help notice the other 3 employees that kept asking us if we needed any help just standing around. Apparently operating a POS system is beyond their pay scale. We were able to use a 20% off coupon from my phone, that was a plus. I think I'll wait in the car next time. read more

I have shopped there 3 times over the Christmas holiday and each time the assistant managers who helped me were very rude but I guess that's the new normal but the reason I say don't buy shoes here because the first time in years my wife tried to return a pair of shoes today 12/29 i bought her on the 12/23 for Christmas because of a fit defect and the assistant manager on duty today said he wasn't going to return them because he insinuated that " she had a night out on the town in them" so far from the truth and so insulting . I also found out by going to the Van's store directly to rebuy a pair of crap shoes I overpaid by a lot at famous footwear. I hope they learn making their own rules for returns and being rude and overcharging doesn't attract many shoppers. read more

Went to the Menifee location today to return a pair of shoes that were gifted to me for Christmas do to the size and fit of the shoe not being comfortable. When ANDREW asked if I would like the money returned to the card it was purchased with, I explained to him that it was a gift and not purchased by myself so would prefer a refund or store credit. This moron then refunds the money to the card used anyway and then says "WHOOOPS SORRY ABOUT THAT." Calls a manager over and when the manager comes over he tries to cover up the fact that I specifically told him it was a gift and NOT TO return funds to the credit card it was purchased with. Manager tried to reverse it and was not able to do so. So now I have to look like an idiot by having to call the purchaser and explain the situation and then inconvenience them by them having to purchase me something else. It's holiday return time ANDREW.... I hope you use your brain and common sense in your job going forward. Also will be contacting corporate office Monday morning. read more

This is for the brand new famous footwear in Murrieta Ca over by the new marshals on Alta Murrieta road. I am only giving this establishment one star because that's what yelp makes me do in order to write a review. I am big on customer service since I have a job that relies on that. I walked in and was not greeted with a hello or any acknowledgement. Their seemed to be a manager and a new employee working at the time. I looked directly at them as I was walking down the aisle so they saw me. I thought this was odd since I was a customer and I figured they would want my business. I looked at the shoes for over 15 minutes as they talked amongst each other, found two pairs of shoes I actually wanted to buy and decided against buying them because of their rudeness in not acknowledging my existence. Pretty ridiculous. We go in 15 minutes before closing and the employees were super rude. You are open until 9pm, and yes I understand that we came as you were trying to close the store but my mother and I needed running shoes for a race and plus that is part of the job. If we come in after 9pm than you can bitch about us being there. Considering that I literally caught the two employees staring at us and bitching about us coming a couple minutes before closing and then yelling twelve more minutes at us, I'm assuming they don't have a brain. read more

I bought a pair of shoes and when I got home noticed that they were used shoes. The bottom of the shoes had evidence of having been worn and the sides of the shoes were dirty. My husband took them back for me and the lady started arguing that my husband was wrong about the shoes being used. She claims they don't sell used shoes and that they got dirty from people trying them on...they must have some filthy floors to make the shoes that dirty. They need to clean their nasty, filthy floors and learn to admit when they are wrong. read more

Do not shop here. Bought a pair of shoes 3 weeks ago, and only wore them a few times. Nothing out of the ordinary, and almost no visible wear on the soles. But the front of the shoe began to unravel, either because of poor material or manufacturing. I had the original receipt, but they refused to exchange them. The extremely rude and unprofessional manager pointed out the fine print on the receipt that says there are no refunds or exchanges if the shoes have been worn. Do not go to this location. Worst customer service ever. I needed to exchange a pair of vans for a bigger size and the murrieta location called this location for a size 9 mens vans and when I got there, they had a 9 1/2 on hold for me. So I asked the sales person if he could find a size 9 and he looked so quick and said no they dont. I asked him if he could call another location as we walked to the register. I noticed my shoes were thrown on the floor and he said I need the shoes. I told him they are on the floor and he said can you pick them up? I was so heated at this point I walked away from the register. So I went over to the shoe area and this time I looked for the shoe size and to my surprise they had it right on top of first shelf. The sales person didnt even care to look. So I told the employee that I found it and he didnt even say anything, no apology or anything.
