Service here is OK - nothing stellar - but better than what I've experienced at other stores for this brand. Whether it's an "outlet" or not could be debated. Skechers prices can vary depending when & where you buy them. I wear Skechers for work, leisure, and hiking. Each summer I get a new pair of Go Walks for theme park season - I find them super comfortable, however their soft & spongy soles can degrade quickly. For me it's an investment in comfort rather than bandaids and moleskin :-) Their kids shoes are very reasonable priced... my kiddo inherited my wide feet, so we often shop for his shoes as well at this location.

The website lists both as available, but when I arrived, the very polite employee said no, they don't have Rockport and the Merrells they carry is only one (maybe two?) pairs that weren't what I was looking for at all. I guess I'll be shopping elsewhere now.

Visiting Nordstrom's Racks sometimes feel like a treasure hunt. You never know if you're going to…read morefind that designer bag or shoes for 80% off or if all you're going to find is the Nordstrom rack brand items. That's what makes it fun! The Rack in Maple Grove is decent sized and well laid out. They tend to have a bit of a smaller selection of the higher end designers that you can find at the Mall of America Nordstrom rack but still a decent variety. They carry women's, men's, children's, shoes, accessories and home goods. Parking is plentiful but the traffic flow is a little tricky directing you right into the first row. That row gets 100% of incoming traffic so I'd recommend parking one or two over. Customer service here is always good. While you are kind of on your own to hunt the racks (if you want a personalized shopping experience head to the actual Nordstrom's) the employees always seem to be in a good mood and helpful when checking out. Dressing rooms are always clean and they have plenty of spaces to try on items. It helps when people return unwanted items to the return racks so do your part and don't leave them in the room. Overall I think visiting this location is fun and I rarely leave empty handed!

It's become obvious that she needs some serious work shoes or boots. I managed to brainwash her that Red Wing shoes makes the best work shoes, they're super tough, and they're made in Minnesota! I told her I'd spend up to 200 bucks for her to buy whatever she likes. Not bad for a 14 year old, right? Wow, what a disappointment last Saturday! First, there was only one small corner for women's shoes. Second, the sales guy managed to alienate my daughter. He spend most of his time with two dudes that were in the store. And what little time he spent on my daughter, he pretty much talked her out of buying any Red Wings and kept directing her to a super ugly (obviously inappropriate) pair of women's hiking boots. It's was like...if you HAVE to buy Red Wings...I SUPPOSE you could buy these! Really? My daughter told me, "Dad, he's sexist." When a wide eyed 14 year old comes up with the idea that you're sexist, it's NOT cool! So due to this idiot, my daughter now dislikes Red Wing Shoes. I don't think I can ever talk her into buying a pair. And I walked out the door with the $200 still in my pocket. -Daddy Maxx Retro
