This place is a good stop for some quick-ish bbq. It's famous Dave's. Pretty consistent with other locations. The bbq isn't something that'll knock your socks off but it's good. The staff was super friendly and accommodating to small menu tweaks which is why I added an extra star :) I'd come back again next time I'm out here. read more

It was our first time here. My colleague and I treated the doctor for his birthday today for a late lunch/early dinner meal. We ordered our food and waited for 20 minutes. The service wasn't bad, but the food wasn't as great either. It was average. I ordered the Korean baby back ribs entree with a side of coleslaw and sweet corn that came with a cornbread muffin. The ribs were tasty, but the meat was a little tough to chew. The corn wasn't as sweet as it should be. It was kinda bland. The coleslaw was bland as well. I actually enjoyed the cornbread though. I wasn't impressed at all. I thought the price of what I ordered wasn't worth it. I honestly don't know if I'd come back here again. Maybe you can try it and see for yourselves. read more

Very poor experience! Myself and some colleagues went to famous Dave's. We booked a table in advance but still arrived to a 15 minute wait even though the place was extremely quiet. Staff were incredibly blunt and rude - arguing with eachother saying they didn't want to serve us and 'that's not going to be my table' as we all sit awkwardly. They got orders wrong, did not offer to refill fountain drinks I personally had to walk up to the bar. The food was horrible. Absolutely horrible, cold and tough sides. Soggy and cold meat. Overall horrendous. Majority of my colleagues were ill and to the toilet straight after eating. Doesn't help they only have one toilet in the building. Never going again, I've never left a review before in my life - I actually downloaded this and made an account just to warn others that's how bad it has been. read more

This location has the best service in my opinion. Everyone is very attentive and nice. The food is always amazing. I love coming here and ordering a box of their delicious corn bread to go. No. Probably should have been my first clue to what was to follow. Place was pretty dead and still took our server a while to get to us. Ordered food and took forever to come out to the table. May 24 2024 went to Famous Dave's while I was getting new tires on my car at discount tire which is nearby. This Famous Dave's is located by the Imperial Valley Mall just off the Dogwood Exit. I had a great cheeseburger . My wife liked the Cesar Salad . My burger was about $18. Came with steak fries. Big portion and I was pretty stuffed. I'll add a picture. The food was so-so ....... My husband had a Texas ribeye meat was chewy and salty. I had hamburger and fries. Meat tastes meh! no seasoning or flavor! The worse part was the service. Yay. However, I found they were prepared for the BBQ lover and people like me. They have soups (chili and broccoli cheese ), salads, baked potatoes, onion strings and chicken wings. I love soups but do not like either choices. I picked the wing basket with Buffalo sauce-which is just wings with carrots and celery. There were 10 wings and a couple pieces of celery. The wings were good sized and tasty and the sauce good-though there could have been more sauce. I ate only 5 wings and the veggies and was very full. The brisket was very tender and had good flavor but was quite smokey. I wasn't a fan but the hubs loved it. He also got burnt ends. The burnt ends were tender, fatty, juicy and over delicious-and not so smokey so even I liked the . For lovers of BBQ, I'm sure Famous Dave's would be ok because it's a chain restaurant. I really appreciate their having selections that aren't BBQ and some that are meatless. It would be great if they had a soup of the day. Made it to famous Dave's for National bbq day! Their bbq ribs available are of pork only, though they are a popular dish. My favorite go-to is their beef brisket, and it was served hot and fresh and was very tender. Our server was very nice and recommended we order the Feast for Two as Can be for up to 2-3 people to share. It did not disappoint! It consisted of chicken, pork bbq ribs, beef brisket, beans, coleslaw (which we traded for grilled pineapple), fries and cornbread all for $49.99. The salad had to be ordered separately as it cannot be switched between coleslaw as we first tried to do. Very good and served fast. This restaurant is located in the parking lot of a large shopping mall along with a number of other restaurants. I actually first went in one of the other restaurants, but the wait to be seated for dinner was too long, so I decided to go over to Famous Daves instead. There was almost nobody there, so I think that tells you something about this place. The food is actually not bad, but in all fairness I believe they are overpriced for what you get. I think with more moderate prices, this could be a successful restaurant. Not having to wait at all to be seated, however, made it worth it. I had the brisket sandwich, which goes for $13.99, and comes with one side. A soft drink to go with your meal will cost you $3.75. read more

Ordered online ahead of time get there to pick up only to find out people are waiting 2 hours for their order most of them elderly all outside in this valley heat (100 degrees that day). Management including the GM Jesus were rude as heck telling people to cancel their orders and that's it's not their fault no one wanted to cook (it was Mother's Day btw). The least they could do was go around passing drinks on the house but no they rather ignore people and tell them to cancel. I have never liked this placed it's highly overpriced for dry old and chewy food but it was mother's request. Not gonna lie, this was a very disappointing trip. I am still giving 5 stars because of our waitress lady who came to our car to bring us the food. (Prolly smart to get her name but she was absolutely gorgeous) I wanted to cry upon arriving because I drove 2 hours from San Diego just for famous Dave's. This is and has been my favorite place for years. I grew up in Las Vegas and on occasion would visit the Temecula one when I left Vegas. This was an very exciting trip I was making just to be sad. I was told u guys didn't have Brisket. I was told you guys didn't have beverages and was told there wasn't any Chips. Chips. I am a big girl who loves y'all chips. When I visit Vegas or come back from Irvine I try to stop and I get a few larges because these chips are fire with the rich and sassy. All 3 things I normally get unavailable. I didn't like that. There wasn't even any bbqs to go in the packets. I am just really upset at how my trip turned out and hope next time this will be better. I love bbq... Dave's is a solid bbq joint that has chicken, pork, beef bbq. Fun atmosphere. Would go there with friends and family.

We ate here on a recent trip to El Centro and it was fine but nothing special. They do have a wide variety of BBQ sauces which is nice, but they were very similar in flavor. Best option was the "BBQ buddies" which was 4 sliders each with a different meat (pulled pork, brisket, chicken and sausage). Servers were attentive for beverage refills. I was sadden to learn that there isn't a corporate number we could call anymore to commend the employees of their efforts and service. I even tried writing them directly through the website but it didn't work so I believe leaving this review is equivalent and will suffice...A few hours ago my family and I sat down and dinned in at the El Centro's Famous Dave's location and it seemed pretty decent at first. However, as time went by, the service had gradually gotten worse (not from our server but with the kitchen and cooks). To start, my family's beverages were all flat even with changing the beverage to an entirely different soda pop. Second, our food (Ribs) came out and we were very pleased with the quality. Only thing was, our dozen of biscuits hadn't came simultaneously. In fact, it came out at the very end when we had practically already eaten and were full. I contemplated on sending it back to the kitchen (since my family was already full--but my family felt pressured to eat it since it already touched our table during a pandemic) so we kept it. Sadly, we were already full and didn't have any more room left to eat. The last thing that I wasn't pleased with was our alcoholic beverage that we ordered. It was the last thing to come out to our table--after the ribs, after the sides, and after the delayed biscuits... My sister and mother in law were pretty upset because we were there in celebration of our little sister graduating and wanted to do a little toast to her accomplishment and open the dinner up with a brief speech and prayer. However, that wasn't the case. At that moment, my family and friends were very displeased and just wanted to leave. On the contrary, we had such an amazing server named Amanda (who I would say was the reason we stayed for the full duration). She was so patient and tried her very best to accommodate my family and I as the service we encountered took a turn for the worse. She was well versed in her job and confident to turn our experience around-- and that meant so much to us. I then went ahead and ask to speak with the supervisor, I believed her name was Nizza. Now, she is the perfect example of what kind of leadership any company would love to have on board. Both her and Amanda went the extra mile to accommodate my family and I and we were so moved. Hence, why I am writing corporate. I am usually not one to write reviews or make calls to a company but after tonight, I wanted to ensure these women got the recognition they deserved and also wanted to ensure that Famous Dave's is aware that they are doing a fabulous job at picking the best candidate to represent their company. Thank you Nizza and Service Team for everything you guys did tonight for my sister and family. You have made the trip out to El Centro worth every penny and worth the while and I couldn't have been more grateful. read more
