I called because the pills looked funny, they assured me it was fine. I pressed that I have a peanut allergy and they called me back later to say, sorry, they did give me the peanut version because they misunderstood the prescription from my doctor. I had to go back and exchange it--so glad I didn't take it! Since then I've had several experiences where they say my prescription will be ready the next day and it isn't actually ready when I come to pick it up several days later. I don't understand how this place stays in business, and I feel very anxious about all the medicine I get from them if they're this disorganized. Looking for another compounding pharmacy even if I have to go farther away for it.

I use a daily medication, and when the manufacturer stopped making it, my doctor and my old…read morepharmacist both failed to let me know. When I started to run low, I tried to refill my prescription at Walgreens, Rite Aid, and CVS, only to be told that their wholesalers were out of stock and that they should be getting more soon. On a whim, I stopped into Rubin Chemists to see if they had it in stock. Kris, the pharmacist, immediately told me the medicine had been discontinued and gave me the name of a nearly identical medication my doctor could prescribe. When I ran into trouble getting this new medication approved by my insurance, Kris walked me through every step of the approval process, called my doctor, and kept me updated daily on the status of my order. When my prescription was finally approved, I still owed nearly $100 for my medication. Kris instructed me on where I could find an online coupon, which brought my out of pocket expense down to just $10, a even lower price than what I had previously paid for the discontinued medication. I couldn't have better things to say about Rubin Chemists! They treated me with so much concern and respect, kept me informed at every turn, and really went above and beyond what I've come to expect from big chain pharmacies.

The second I walk up to the counter, no one in line, I stand for five minutes and wait for the one pharmacist to acknowledge my existence. When she finally does she yells across the room asking what I need, I explain that I'm picking up a prescription just sent in. She doesn't ask my name, but instead asks if I'm Sophia. No date of birth question either. She asks for my insurance card and I give it to her. The second she looks at she says it's "medical insurance" not "pharmaceutical" and asks FOUR times if I have any different card in an extremely rude tone. To which I respond, no and that I have always used this card and never had a problem. She rolls her eyes as if I am now inconveniencing her and then asks me what my past pharmacy phone number is which I don't know off the top of my head, so she makes me look it up. She spends ten minutes on the phone with a CVS that I don't pick up from anymore and then tells me that my SIGNA insurance has expired which is a provider i've never used. I asked how much the prescription would be without insurance and she wouldn't say and then started explaining to me what insurance is and what it does. I asked then after being completely fed up if she would transfer my prescription elsewhere for me and she said I can go to the next location and ask them to do it and she wouldn't. I am an extremely anxious person so going into pick up a prescription is already stressful enough. She was so extremely rude from the second she spoke to me. When I asked for her name she proudly stated it was Galina. I was so upset that I let an employee in the front of the store know how her attitude affected my experience (she was very understanding and I also understand it wasn't her problem to fix) but I was in tears by the time I walked away. Confrontation is not ever easy for me nor something I enjoy doing, I'm so disappointed!! Overall the store seems to have a great selection, but wow this pharmacist really has an issue with customer service.
