This place is constantly changing their minds about how to run the business. There isn't any clear communication. They will set up your expectations and not follow through with their plan repeatedly. During a promotion process, they opened new positions but didn't inform anyone of them or offer them to all eligible employees. Employees can't even carry an aluminum cup around, as it's deemed unsafe if an emergency happens and your hands are full with said cup, but you have to rotate from room to room with all kinds of items the members don't grab (ie backpacks, lunchboxes, projects, member's aluminum cups, etc). Inconsistent discipline of employees. Some are given probation, while others' demotions with no proper evidence of misconduct or warning. Beware as they will pull you in by your heart strings with the wonderful people they serve, but the second your opinion differs from the owner or the admin crew, your goose is cooked. Lastly, other employees are nice to your face, earn your trust, just to break it when it benefits them. Be careful.
Dear Family Partners,
Live by your core values, too. Stop expecting perfection from already excellent employees. If you are going to claim you give chances, do it. Don't take a hard earned promotion over a one-time emotional moment or because you were called out on your unethical promotion processes. I was trying to improve your processes by explaining how it made me and many others feel. Emotions are an issue for you as well, as you flipped on me like a switch. I gave you my all, and when I needed you, like I said repeatedly, you weren't there. I was willing to be accountable for my mistake. You weren't. You told me to protect your supplies like my baby and not let anyone in that closet. When I enforced what you asked of me and it offended someone, you didn't take any responsibility in that or offer me training on how to address it differently. You just took my hard work away. For the members' sake, I hope you figure it out. read more
