I often come here over lunch or at the end of my work day. I work locally in Beatrice, but I commute to Lincoln. I typically stop in for their salads and veggie trays for lunches on days I forgot to pack. This lets me eat healthy and on the cheap. I like how they changed the store to feature these items directly as you enter the grocery store. This saves me time and gives me ample selection. Second, I do this for coming in after work to save my family time on last-minute items or the quirky thing or two we might need. This usually doesn't cause trouble as the place isn't crowded compared to Lincoln's Walmarts. My only drawback is the checkout system. This is more Walmart-wide than this story in particular. Often, machines do not work, or when using the app to scan and checkout via mobile, the software doesn't seem to work with the checkout stands. The staff are very nice and helpful though.

Once they requested the hell waited 10 plus minutes and know one showed up. Walked away to check out and the front staff was too busy talking rather than addressing a question. I would not even give it a one star if I had the choice.

I bought some and put it in caterpillars tent, as soon as they started eating it they didn't move, sure enough they were all dead. I called management and she said no they don't use pesticides! I've warmed up to the house brand fizzy water and accept that they run on the sweeter side. We also picked up a nice travel neck pillow, as we left one at home. There were 2 neck pillows that were identical, one blue and the other black. For some unknown reason the black one was a couple buck cheaper than the blue one. Not being picky about color, we chose the less expensive black color neck pillow. This location has a nice clean restroom here, with purse hooks on bathroom stall door placed at a reasonable height. Unlike the ones at the Lexington store where they are mounted 6 ft high... a challenge for short girls. There are water fountains by the restrooms. While browsing the store, I was surprised to find the electronics dept selling a flip phone. Do people still buy these? It was a pretty thick phone, too!

Evidently, they were on top of the routine maintenance. We ended up doing a short grocery run, they had decent vegetables & fruits. They were fresh looking & reasonably priced. The cherries, apricots, strawberries, & black grapes were very nice looking. Trying them, they were sweet & tasty. I was pleasantly surprised. They did have street taco tortillas, very small, just the size to fit in your hand, nice for open faced sandwiches or a veggie snack. This is the first Walmart that has carried them so far. Very nice. While their book area was somewhat limited. They did have some good deals on hard backs & quite a few paperback books as well. The cashier was friendly & pleasant to work with.

Not only is that number one of many reasons this was the worst experience ever but I also waited 20 minutes before I finally went and tracked down a worker to call someone to come help me just to find out the technician that does all that leaves early on Thursday! I'm just disappointed in the marketing team for not posting the hours of operation for the electronic department! Waist of my time, money, beautiful weather for fishing and many other reasons that I'm not available to post!
