The people that work here are pretty nice, but I can't recall ever seeing an employee that wasn't behind a checkout lane of carrying something out for a customer. Maybe they roost in the back when there isn't an essential task. I have no idea. I did hear the intercom announce that there was a customer in the furniture department that needed help, so apparently you can get assistance if you need some of that. And, FYI, for those on food stamps: You cannot use a SNAP benefits card at Big Lots. The woman ahead of me had almost $100 worth of stuff rang up, presented her card, and was told that Big Lots didn't accept that form of payment. She fled the store, leaving behind a buggy full of goods. I think that she was embarrassed... Comparing canned soup and pasta prices, you can get national brands a bit cheaper at Walmart (or for the same price), but the aforementioned "weird stuff" may present a bargain that you can't resist. I found some Libby's ravioli today for less than $1 a can, so I sprang for four of them, simply because I had never seen it before. What doesn't kill me just makes me stronger, etc.

Tons of Vintage clothing/shoes area, tons of unique gifts, household items & some items are new with tags! Hubby & I found all kinds of goodies at this place! We had to return the next day so we could look some more. Haha. Moi found a beautiful, brand new, Vintage party dress with the tags still on it. Fits Perfect OuiOui. Some clothing stuff is not so great, you have to dig a little, however some things are still with their original tags never having been worn. The dressing rooms are directly across from the counter with flimsy curtains to offer minimal privacy. Big signs are there to welcome you saying, theft will be prosecuted. I think yesterday was my last trip. I have not ever felt welcomed in this store. I feel as if I'm a bother to them. I wish I could find another store that offered such a wide variety. In the meantime, I hope the management will train their staff about how to treat returning customers. Friendliness is a major key to success.
