You know how that goes! You go in for 1 thing and come out with $50 worth of junk/stuff! I'm guilty as charged! I haven't been to a Dollar Store in quite awhile and I quickly found out things are NOT a dollar. Everything is now $1.25 unless otherwise marked. Whatever, it's still less expensive than a lot of other places. They had a decent amount of Holiday decorations albeit a lot of them were pretty chintzy looking. The toy section is really small but it was sufficient for what I needed. The BEST find today was Play Doh and the Play Doh hair salon accessories kit. The store was PACKED and there wasn't much room to maneuver in there. I definitely felt claustrophobic! The store was relatively clean and the person at checkout was friendly. I'd go back but not during peak hours or Holidays. Also, the frozen food selection was slim. I personally don't buy food from there EVER but I did notice the selection was lacking.

I usually pick up a few 6-oz. tubes of toothpaste for $1 each. The ones that boldy proclaim "30% more vs. 4.6-oz size!" Well, thanks, I guess. Six ounces is also 200% larger than a two-ounce tube, so why not drop the artifice and sensationalism and go for broke? Dunces. The lines get brutal here. Counter-intuitively, you might not think that a dollar store would get crowded, but I've seen the line (not lines...it would take a miracle to see more than one register open) 9-10 people deep. Most of those people pay with coins or something, because speedy dispatch of the customers ain't happening up in here. I usually depart annoyed and irate, although I keep going back to see what sorts of strange food is being offered. Lobster pate for $1 a can? Yep, they have (or had) that, and I bought it. It was nasty, but you never can be sure that you aren't about to eat the best thing ever, so I keep trying.

While I thought I found what bag with, I was unable to tell because they were taped shut do I hoped for the best. Along the way, I came across very cute sandals, some habanero mango chips & a couple stuffed animals for my dog Lexi. I don't know why I forget that they have a great section for animals! They also make returns super easy as I ended up returning my affirmation cards - they were close to what I'm looking for but not quite right. Lately when we stop it seems as if they are getting way out of wack with their prices. We noticed for awhile now someone is getting crazy pricing things. They seem to start off with $2.95 no matter if it even came from the dollar tree. I've seen items that were originally cheaper than their asking price. Not only are you paying more for most items they ask when you check out if you want to round up to the next 1$!! I personally would not mind if prices were cheaper. They do however have one tag they discount I think weekly. Most the time your Lucky to find one or 2 items that color. Of course we know everything is donated so why be greedy asking such high prices. I wouldn't even stop here but it's close enough to my Moms house so it's easy to stop in. Ive even been here when a few people have made the comment they were too expensive and walked out. There is plenty of parking . The donation area you pull on the side to the rear of the building. The help is usually nice to deal with. This DG has a whole wall full of reach in coolers with tons of frozen food & a whole isle of fresh produce. Moi loves these new DG markets popping up everywhere, they are very nice little neighborhood Markets & are much quicker in & out than Walmart with basically the same inventory. Will return. Recommend.
