My wife and I waited there for a few minutes and didn't see anyone back there, so I walked in. When I came out she was there and rudely said "Do you have a number?". I apologized and said that I didn't see anyone around the desk, and she said "No, there's been someone here the whole time." I know this probably isn't that big of a deal, but I really don't appreciate someone glaring at me or being snapped at for something like this. The rest of my interactions with the staff at this location were great though, especially the young guy at cashier counter, he's extremely nice!

Whatever, it's still less expensive than a lot of other places. They had a decent amount of Holiday decorations albeit a lot of them were pretty chintzy looking. The toy section is really small but it was sufficient for what I needed. The BEST find today was Play Doh and the Play Doh hair salon accessories kit. The store was PACKED and there wasn't much room to maneuver in there. I definitely felt claustrophobic! The store was relatively clean and the person at checkout was friendly. I'd go back but not during peak hours or Holidays. Also, the frozen food selection was slim. I personally don't buy food from there EVER but I did notice the selection was lacking.

I usually pick up a few 6-oz. tubes of toothpaste for $1 each. The ones that boldy proclaim "30% more vs. 4.6-oz size!" Well, thanks, I guess. Six ounces is also 200% larger than a two-ounce tube, so why not drop the artifice and sensationalism and go for broke? Dunces. The lines get brutal here. Counter-intuitively, you might not think that a dollar store would get crowded, but I've seen the line (not lines...it would take a miracle to see more than one register open) 9-10 people deep. Most of those people pay with coins or something, because speedy dispatch of the customers ain't happening up in here. I usually depart annoyed and irate, although I keep going back to see what sorts of strange food is being offered. Lobster pate for $1 a can? Yep, they have (or had) that, and I bought it. It was nasty, but you never can be sure that you aren't about to eat the best thing ever, so I keep trying.

I have purchased many Rustic pieces from OKC to the Dallas farmers market. When I was in College I actually worked at the Rustic Furniture Store at the Dallas Farmers Market for a little while. I'm pretty much an expert on the process. Most of its imported from Mexico & I spend a great deal of time down there also. Anyhoo, some of the pieces here are very similar to what I am used to seeing & purchasing. However, their prices are just way to high here currently compared to Oklahoma/Texas. Ohmygosh. The World is so crazy all over…read more The other day Hubby & I were at Grocery champ next door & decided to pop into this store for the first time. We looked around, we thought it was very cool, kinda like a big lots. Hubby found a super fun pair of sunglasses he loves & moi found this clear plastic shower brush that I LOVE LOVE LOVE for less than $2 bucks. Then, couple days later, I told hubby next time we go to Grocery Champ remind me to pick up another one of the clear plastic brushes from that Roses Express store that I LOVE so much just so I will have a back up one. Anyhoo, we go over there & some crazy person tried to burn it down at 3am. The whole front of the store was burned & it was closed. Today, we go there to see if it's open again. They are having a "Sidewalk Fire Sale" bc all the inventory in the store smells like smoke. I was not able to get another brush, however, they told us that they will be open again, inside, in about a month & I can get one then. Hopefully. Will return to update.

I find a good selection and…read moreprices, I don't have to walk all over tarnation like in Walmart, and a friendly cashier rings up my purchases unlike Walmart. Sadly, though, I can't shop there anymore, because vagrants have started harassing us in the parking lot every time we go there. The last one was a doozy with the gift of gab who had to tell us his life story and even broke out in song oblivious, and really disrespectful, of our commitments, obligations, and responsibilities. It is surprising that the store managers in this shopping center, especially Roses, are tolerating this, as it is my understanding that one of these vagrants started the fire at the store a few months ago that forced it to shut down temporarily. But it is what it is.
