Half of the deals they advertise don't work when you get to the register. The guy working the register has no idea how to honor coupons... there are a lot of unsavory characters coming in that live in the area and frequent the bikini bay bar in the same shopping center. I was a tourist staying at a nearby hotel and this was the only store around or I'd never ever had come, don't recommend it to anyone unless you want to get ripped off and deal with some serious loons both behind the register and customers in the store. read more

3/8/24 6pm First time in here to get some necessities. I was glad they had it and a great value. I was looking around at the prices, and a lot cheaper than the grocery stores I go to back home. The woman working there was very helpful and friendly. I wish more cashiers were like this. I would not compare this place to another location in a busy city, because obviously, this town (Laughlin) is slower, not like it's hey day in the 80s. This is a wonderful store. You can park in the front, or in the parking garage and cone through the innards of the mall. I bought a gallon of water and some clearance energy drinks in here for a great deal. The prices in this store are acceptable. I noticed the junk food is expensive. The women who helped me were friendly and chatty. The store was clean and had a lot of stuff. If you like the Raiders, they have Raiders stuff. You can do cash back for $1. read more

Please don't screech at me to GET BACK IN THE BUNKER, I'm already in the bunker. *** Other reviews make it sound like this location is particularly expensive for dollar stores, but I found it to be normal for a Family Dollar and not really outrageous on anything. Family Dollars aren't a true dollar store, they have a good bit of $1 stuff but also a lot of items ranging from there to $5. "Discount store" is probably a better description. I didn't find this one to be much more expensive than the other ones I've seen in non-tourist areas. This location is a pretty big store and has a bunch of refrigerated and frozen stuff too, had pretty much all the basics I needed, good place for budget food and goods while staying a few days in Laughlin. read more

It's been years since I went to a Family Dollar store. We visited last saturday on our day trip to Laughlin, which happened to be the same time for the Laughlin River Run (this was an accident!). This store is located outside of the lower level of the mall (food court is the entire lower level of the outlet center). It felt like how the Big Lots used to be before it became Big Lots (MacFrugal's). So, yes, it's a little dated. However, don't judge a book by its cover. If one were in town and needed a bunch of supplies, this is your one-stop shopping place! I browsed home, womens health & beauty, food (hubby found Wise chips), baby, and almost every other aisle inside. There were maxi dresses for $12-$14 but it was womens plus sizes (can double as a cover up). I found a 3-pack of baby socks size 2T-4T at $3.15, had white with grey bottoms, and solid black. And I found some womens products which happen to be my favorite one to use. There were two cashiers, and the lines were long. Looked like it was a mix of tourists and locals. I'm pretty sure if we are in the area, we'd come back to visit. read more

The store's name is misleading. There are only a few items that are $1. A more appropriate name for the store is $??.00 store or the dollar and up store. Went in thinking it would be like the 99 cents store where the majority of items are like the store's namesake but was dissapointed in finding out that the majority of items are priced $1 and upwards. read more

I stoped in this store went to the back for toilet tissue... saw the last two packs on a chair I asked a lady if they were for sale she said she didn't work there . There was a Caucasian lady around the corner stocking shelves we asked her she picked up the two packs and said she had to ask a supervisor... she went to ask on her way back there was a Caucasian lady in the freezer and asked the sales lady if she could have a pack she said yes ... when me and the other lady heard this we complained and she went and got her supervisor who made up a excuse but me and the other lady knew it was because of the color of our skin ... which was I was black and she was a darker skinned Indian lady ... Jennifer who was the supervisor got made because I wasn't buying her excuse and gave the tissue the one pack that was left to the Indian lady and I was there before her ... this was clear cut RACISM against AFRICAN AMERICANS read more

I'm not too familiar with other family dollar stores but from what i have experienced i don't have any complaints here. They aren't the cheapest option for items but if you're visiting or staying at the casinos this is the best option for emergencies or last minute items. They are friendly and well stocked on many products and not sure what the other review saw but this place is clean and not filthy. read more

I've been in a couple of their stores in the surrounding area. Honestly how are any of them still around? Always looking filthy, just the whole atmosphere of their stores are depressing in general. Nothing is below a dollar. It's like Big Lots drug addict sibling. Selling actual 99 cent store stuff, at roughly $1.50 and up. Anyway I normally wouldn't bother writing a reveiw. I honestly could care less about walking into any family dollar. But as many times, that I told my Girlfriend, to not even bother to walk into any of their stores. She did this one, since their isn't much to do in either Bullhead city or Laughlin. I already had a predisposed idea of these stores. What she came out with took the cake. She purchased a new Madagascar 3 dvd for $7. Sounds good right? And a 4 pack of toddler stretchy gloves for $3. Not bad. Until we got home. The DVD has no indication it was previously owned or used. No writing on it or warning. Case and packing looked new. The DVD however is USED! It's a fricken RED BOX dvd. I kid you not. And what's worse. The center is all broken and chipped. Loaded with scratches. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! my Girlfriend can get it BRAND NEW at walmart for roughly $11. So she thought she was saving a couple bucks for the exact same thing. My god, I understand it's a discount store, but really? Nothing at all indicated that it was used. Nothing. Dvd case looks brand new. That's not all. The gloves are all different sizes. Not all one size as indicated on the packaging. Just stay away from these stores. They are an absolute joke. Tear them down and put up actual 99 cent stores, or Dollar tree's. Or even a DD's discount store (similar to Ross and Marshall's). The one that went out of bussiness closer to us was a godsend. Plus even the sale prices at the end were ridiculous. Laundry detergent cost more in Family Dollars and Dollar general than they do, even in Target. Don't be fooled. The prices are not as cheap as the name implies, the products themselves though are much cheaper. I bought several (12 to be exact)brand new BluRay dvds (good movies too, like Elephant white, Stolen, The Purge) from our local Dollar tree. For a $1. A BRAND NEW BLU RAY for ONE BUCK! Yet she spent $7 on a dvd pre owned, broken, chipped, scratched, prior rental, sold in NEW packaging. They are ripoff's. Knew from the very first time I ever stepped into one. Let me start off by saying, HIRE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY LIKE THEIR JOB. Coming from California my family and I came for vacation over here and the cashier Lauren was straight up rude to my family, rolling her eyes sighing because my family and I came and bought a lot of things, I mean it's a family of 8 and we have a long drive back to California of course we're going to buy a lot of snacks, drinks, food, etc. I don't get how it's so stressful if all you're doing is scanning things haha ridiculous, come here if you want to feel disrespected and uncomfortable to even buy things, thank god the family dollars in California that I've been to are nothing like this! read more

if i could i would give this Family Dollar a -5 stars doesnt even deserve one star. very rude and disrespectful. One of the employees had the need to go out of their way to tell a customer that he saw her throw stuff all over his store only to be one item that was just put down because she decided to not buy it. He decides to continue following and watch the customer (creepily i might add) and personally ask the customer if she would like help. she politely says no then the employee tells the customer that she keeps throwing things in his store and he had to clean up after her and if she doesnt need help then not to throw things in his store. the customer did not throw anything and the employee clearly does not understand what a job is. He did not treat the customer with respect and told her that she was throwing things when all reality there was children who were throwing and running around the store. read more
