I called to make an appointment an hour before they closed and the receptionist passive aggressively told me the office was close and to call back tomorrow. And to make sure I asked when is the earliest i can call back and she rudely said 9am and hung up the call immediately. Very unprofessional and rude customer service. read more

I made an appointment w/ this office and was inconveniently rescheduled without outreach or my confirmation. I was able to call and reschedule, unfortunately the day before my appointment I came down with the flu. This office told me to find a new oral surgeon as they will not service me in the future. Now, everybody has their rescheduling policies but I shouldn't be at fault for the first appointment being missed due to their lack of communication and rescheduling me without knowledge. DO NOT COME HERE!! Or the Germantown location! Unfortunately I've been stuck coming here for 3 years with my daughters braces, thank goodness they're coming off today!!! Was only supposed to be 2 years. This place is HORRIBLE!! They way overbook everyday, and there's always tons of people waiting for long periods of time! I've waited over an hour just to get called back, many, many times. The orthodontist just walks around like he's in la-la land, and doesn't seem to be bothered that people are always waiting! Secretaries are extremely rude. They mock people and make fun of patients when they arrive 2 minutes late. They talk behind peoples back when they leave. Worst experiences I ever had. They took a cleaning appointment even though they knew they can't use all the tools. Because I wanted to proceed with the cleaning anyways knowing it won't be as clean without one of the machines, Dentist Jeffery Paper was very aggressive and quickly used the hook tool to pull some of the plaque and managed to pull lots of my gum - I bleeding throughout. Done in a matter of 5 minutes - so bad. Horrible experience, they don't care about their customers. read more

I don't normally write reviews but I hate this place with a passion. I've been going here under insurance for a couple years now and to date it remains one of the biggest mistakes of my life. I returned every six months for check-ups and cleaning and every time they tell me three things: 1) "You have cavities." Every. Time. I'm about 90% sure that these people don't know what cavities are. 2) "You drink too much soda and eat too much candy." No. My parents were health fanatics so I only drank juice once a week and ate chocolate sparingly. 3) "You need to brush your teeth." You need to go back to dental school. I brushed with the best of Sensodyne and Colgate twice a day. I flossed. I did everything I was told to do but somehow it was never enough. If this place is your only option, you're really better off never going to the dentist again. Pros: They have TVs and I have never been yelled at by the staff. My teeth also used to be really crooked and they got me to an orthodontist so kudos to them for that. Cons: The staff isn't rude but they definitely could be better and are definitely incompetent. The TVs also suck. I think this place is actually for kids or something because I've only ever seen G rated shows on. Even then, the quality sucks, the volume sucks, and half the TVs don't work so you're left staring at the crusty walls and ceiling. Don't bother coming on time as chances are, you'll be spending at least 30 minutes in the waiting room and another 20 minutes actually waiting for the dentist to get to you. X-rays take a minute, cleaning takes another, and then they kick you out. The x-rays are these pointy little square chips that they put in your mouth and tell you to bite down, even if it leaves a cut. Not sure if that's supposed to be normal but with cleaning, they'll literally put a bit of paste on their finger (gloved, thankfully- not that it matters because some of them will walk in and out with the same gloves on) and smear it around your teeth. On a good day, they might use Q-tips. Once finished, they'll tell you to spit. On a good day, you might get to rinse your mouth with a cup of water. Sometimes (almost always), I have to come back to do treatments and fillings. In my earliest years (7), I remember creeps sticking their hand in my mouth to pull out a teeth. Their tools were kinda rusty and old so maybe I should be grateful for that. I remember having crowns on cavities, which looking back, was stupid because they were baby teeth. Fast forwarding, I recently got a root canal done on my molar (you can get more money from doing root canals on molars apparently), as recommended by this place. First things first, the teeth in question wasn't even hurting and had been recently welcomed into my mouth three years prior. That should've been an immediate red flag but I was innocent and I trusted people back then. The root canal was done in a different place by this Indian guy and let me just say that he sucked too; the filling came out about a week later. I didn't think it was a big deal, and apparently neither did my dentist because in the following check-up, he took one look in my mouth, completely missed the big *** hole in my molar, and told me that I had two cavities and to come back in six months. Six months later, I came back and the hole in my molar was finally getting the attention it deserved. During the time in which they were cleaning it out and shoving filling into it, I was getting lectured for poor teeth management (the hole was apparently filled with tons of bacteria or something) so you can just about imagine my reaction to that. Found out a few days ago that root canal kills the teeth so I'm still pissed about that. Long story short, I don't go there anymore. I actually went to a different dentist elsewhere and paid out of pocket for a check-up and get this, I don't have any cavities and the root canal really was useless. Note: whatever they use for numbing is messed up and can your mouth can be numbed for hours after it has been applied. read more

The phone receptionists is unprofessional and decides your not allowed to speak to the dentist for a Poor dental work.Watch out for hidden charges months after your dental work . And if you decide to stick with them,Ask for a 'receipt" always,always.....dont be fooled. read more

My wife and I both tried this place because it was near our new home. We both received quick, incomplete cleanings (once for me, twice for her). Unsatisfactory. The excessive $50 fee to send a copy of my panoramic to my new dentist caused me to write this review. Bad service and bad vibe at this place. I recommend trying someone else. read more

I came in for a cleaning. They took my x-rays, and then gave me a very quickly cleaning. What I go to the dentist for, primarily, is a good cleaning, but their focus seemed to be on providing the insurance services, and not actually cleaning. I never saw a hygientist. Instead, the dentist himself quickly cleaned my teeth and examined my x-rays. The entire cleaning process was done in minutes. read more

Unsatisfactory, incompetent, poor quality of work and watch out for hidden fees. This business goes by different names and have been forfeited by the Maryland Department of Assessment and Taxation. When I visited the Germantown office in 2015 it was called Dental Associates. Now it's R3 Dental group llc. Other names are Layhill Dental Care,and Layhill Dental Care, llc all forfeited by SDAT. Because I was referred by my child's dentist to this office because they specialize in children and my 8 year old son needed a root canal and sooner than later we made the appointment. Im no dentist but I find it odd that I'm told they take X-rays during every cleaning and won't allow a parent in the room during procedures. read more

If I could give less than one star for a review I would. I came back to this office after 2 years due to some tragic events within my family unit. Specifically, 30 hours before my daughters appointment I notified them that my daughter could not make the appointment scheduled for the following day due to a conflict she had within her High School schedule. At this time, I was told by one of their receptionists/ schedulers that they have a 48 hour cancellation policy and that I would be charged a $30 fee. I politely asked to speak with the office manager which in turn got on the phone and was very rude and very unhelpful and basically told me that I would be responsible for the $30 fee and that they did not make exceptions. It seems as if this office cares nothing about the patients nor do they sympathize with life's occurrences. Life happens and you don't always have 48 hours notice to reschedule. I feel that they are all about the money and could seriously learn a lesson or two from having sympathy training and customer service skills training. Two things that they seem to know nothing about. I asked to speak with the head doctor and I was given the runaround and was told that he was on vacation. After using this office for over 6 years on and off for my children, I feel it is unacceptable that they treat me or anyone in this type of situation like this. read more

Every time I come I'm greeted with sassy receptionists. Not only that but the cleanings are quick and a waste of money. I already had a panoramic x ray from my orthodontist but they refused to accept it and had me take another one (to charge me). My mom wasn't allowed to come in with me so I didn't know what they were doing to me or what was going on! They tried to charge us extra for the xrays and claimed my insurance didnt cover it but we called them up and discovered we were covered 100%. The dentist and office asked me to leave more than 6 mos ago and they still call me asking me to make an appt for my next checkup. I asked the dentist for a night guard, he gave me 2 options, then when I made a decision, he said he wouldn't do it. He wouldn't make the night guard he just offered to. I took that to mean that he didn't want to work with me or be my dentist and I left the practice. It took a few attempts to get some records from the office and now 6 mos later they still call asking me to make an appt. read more

I would not give this office even 1 star, their office is terrible, the orthodontist is so unprofessional, does not explain anything and does not take the time to spend with the patient. He is only there one day per week and their wait time is horrible, sometimes over an hour. I would not recommend it to anyone. I had my wisdom teeth extracted here by Dr. Rahim Tofigh and was very unsatisfied with the service. First of I was not put to sleep and was given local anesthesia instead. When I came the week prior to surgery for x-rays he noticed a cyst but swore that it would not affect anything. However, once in the tooth with the cyst caused it to crack during extraction. He stopped and made me do x-rays because he could not tell if more was left. He proceeded to remove the other 3 teeth then came back. At this point the numbing had wore of and I screamed in pain he kept insisting it was merely pressure and made rude remarks to me, an 18 year old female about how I need to stop crying, how do I expect to make it through child birth.
