The best tattoo shop in Miami. Jose at the front made me feel welcome and respected my ideas for the tattoo. Very professional. Danny did my tattoo which was a cover up. He did an amazing job. I was quoted a price per hour and I felt that what I paid was beyond fair for the quality of the tattoo. Omar, who i believe is the owner, introduced himself and was also very polite and professional. The shop is modern, clean, and they have good music. It has a relaxing vibe. If you're looking for bad attitude and worse service, this is definitely the place to come! I searched everywhere for a great script artist in the Miami area until I stumbled upon Danny at Fame. He had just the style I was after so nailed immediately for a booking. I was only in Miami for 3 nights so time was of the essence. The next day I called to check availability to be told that Danny was free in the afternoon and I could come in. I moved some stuff around and called back to let them know I was coming in and would be there at 4PM. At 3:55 I arrived only to find that Danny had decided to take a walk in. They suggested I come back on morning I was leaving Miami to get my piece done. Again I moved things around and decided I would spend my last few hours in Miami getting tattooed rather than enjoying the sights! I made an appointment for 11:30 and paid the $150 deposit online. That morning was a disaster, I ran out of cell data on my way there with no way to find the tattoo parlour or call them. I eventually stopped at a CVS in what seemed the middle of nowhere just to call and let them know I was lost and running late but trying everything to get there. I eventually walked in at 12:15 apologizing profusely for. Wing so late. I only needed to be at the airport at 16:30 so I thought we had plenty of time. This is where it all went south! I sat down and asked Danny if we could discuss the piece and look at some script styles to get an idea of what I wanted! He wasn't interested, he was going to sharpee the script straight on to my arm and we could take it from there. "I'm just gone do a cool piece of script, there's nothing to discuss" was the response I received! This immediately made me nervous as with such a time limit in our hands I didn't want to start the process again if I didn't like the initial design. There are 1000 ways to skin a cat and 1000 ways to do a script font. It's unlikely we would be on the same page without at least some discussion. Either way I went with it! Giving a little trust to the artist. During his sketch I mentioned that I've always worked a skull somewhere into all of my pieces so if he could try that! "I'm just trying to get this script right, we don't have time for skulls" again, no discussion here really! Okay! Weirdly enough though, the last straw for me was when my fiancé asked if she could have the wi-fi password while she waited. "Sorry, we don't give out the password as it overloads our networks" we were literally the only customers and she had no intention of downloading all 56 episodes of Australian master chef. Again, it wasn't that they wouldn't do it, but the arrogance behind how they said "nooooooope...sorry". Eventually the sketch was complete and I took a look! As suspected, I wasn't happy! I didn't like the lettering, or how they interacted, I wasn't happy with the placement! It just looked like it was places slap bang in the empty patch on my forearm! By this time I had such a bad taste in my mouth I just decided I was done! I had to forfeit my $150 and walk out empty handed. Getting tattooed is a major decision even when it's not your first one! (I have 5 relatively large ones) being made to feel comfortable is the most import part of the process! You need to be comfortable in your artists ability (this is after all why you chose them) and you have to be comfortable that your vision will be realized! After all, this is a forever thing! I have since been in talks with Fame after uploading my bad experience on to Instagram stories. They maintain the service was up to par and I should have just let the 'artist do his thing'! Danny the artist believes that collaboration is where he tells me what works and what doesn't. Maybe he doesn't know what collaboration means. He also believes that me reviewing the bad service is something that women do...he called it 'whining'! Apparently whining is something women do...sorry ladies, his words not mine! For all I know, the tattoo may have been brilliant! Danny's portfolio was great! But I'll end the way I started, if you want your tattoo memory to be associated with angst and atttitude...you're gonna love it here!! read more

This is a great up and coming shop, from the decor inside to the professionalism of the staff. The minute you walk in they make you feel welcomed, no judgment or pretentious attitudes like most tattoo shops around the South Florida area. Jose in the front who takes care of creating designs is very easy and fun to work with, he listens to what you really want and helps to guide you through planning your tattoo without taking away your own creative vision. Osmay the owner is very friendly and pops in every now and then to check in on you while your getting tattooed. Danny is a super cool cat as well and easy to talk to. Currently having my torso done with Carlos who does amazing black and gray work. He is kind and considerate and listens to any idea, concerns or questions you may have. All in all I've gotten nothing but the best of customer service from this shop. They are definitely going to be changing the game up for shops to come in the future. I have gotten two piercings done with Fame Tattoos. My conch piercing was done by the manager of the shop and I have no complaints. The second piercing, tongue, was done by one of the store piercers. After having the tongue piercing for a total of 6 days and vigorously following the healing tips to the best of my ability (I even returned to the shop to buy a second bottle of mouthwash, I bought one three days prior when I got the piercing done) I returned to the store to have a check up. The person who pierced me then told me that my tongue was "rejecting" the piercing and I should remove it. I was quite skeptical about the whole situation, considering when I went to get the piercing done, the piercer had to puncture my tongue twice because "I kept moving my tongue inwards", which could have been the case, but from my point of view, I could tell they were having a hard time getting the piercing done in the first place, perhaps due to lack of experience. After I left the shop I went to All Stars Tattoo and Body Piercing to have the piercer give me a second opinion on the current state of my tongue (it was infected) I was told that the piercing was done incorrectly, too far back and slanted as opposed to the bar laying down horizontally. He also let me know that the process of getting a piercing done should typically last seconds rather than the minutes it took to pierce my tongue, twice, just so it could be removed after. Lastly, he let me know that it is very rare for a tongue piercing to reject due to how quickly oral piercings heal, and, when a piercing rejects, it rejects outward. My intent with this review is not to speak ill of the piercer or the store, but I do hope that going forward Fame piercers are honest with their abilities to perform certain piercings and don't just do it for a quick buck. read more

This place is one of a kind. Everyone that works here is so personable and fun. I got my tattoo with Danny, and he sure made my idea shine by adding a lot of his artistic flair to my Star Trek tattoo. I am forever grateful and in love with the tat, and looking forward to coming back here for more. The front desk staff is amazing and I also got a piercing with my friend that was also a good experience. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for really authentic work, and the place is very clean and really nicely decorated. Shop is aesthetic and clean, but both of my experiences here were terrible. Got a tattoo with my friend here, was very over-priced and quality was poor. 2 months later it faded a lot, to the point where I went somewhere else to get it retouched 4 months after getting it. Tattooer, Danny, also did whatever he wanted, and didn't follow my instructions as to how I wanted my tattoo, not to mention he was rude and mocking. If I am paying for something that is permanently going to be on my body and a tip is expected of me also (gave him $40), you shut up and listen, instead of interrupting me and mockingly dismissing my specifications. Reading some of the reviews I noticed this seemed too be a common trend in this shop and with Danny. The shop even seems to support his authoritative and dismissive approach to tattoos from replies to past customers. Months later went again to get my snake eyes tongue piercing and the piercer was obviously inexperienced and did my piercing wrong. ANOTHER COMMON TREND WITH THIS SHOP (read several reviews) So he had to pierce twice. He put in the wrong jewelry that was too short, and with the following weeks of the healing my tongue swelled and the short jewelry caused my tongue to get crater hole scars under the balls of the piercing due to the short jewelry expanding the holes of my piercing and it caused it to migrate. Manager made me pay for the change of jewelry when I went to them with my problem. A year later, and obviously going to another shop, with professionals that actually know what they're doing at half the price, they didn't follow proper protocol of placing a larger jewelry piece to accommodate swelling. Definitely don't recommend, you're better off going ANYWHERE else. I'm sure I would of done a way better job piercing my own tongue in my garage with a nail. read more

I saw Omar today to color and fix a old cover up rose tattoo on my whole left side of my neck and OMG!! I can't stop admiring this beautiful piece of art, that was once just a big blob on my neck, it came back to life as a beautiful blossoming rose. He is not only a very talented tattoo artist but very outgoing, professional and the best in south Florida. I was scared at first because of my past experiences but after talking to his brother Osma and looking at Omar's art work and taking to Omar and what he in visioned... I was sure that this was the artist that I have been looking for, for a long time! Oh boy! was I right, after he finished his master piece on my neck, I knew that I would never let anyone tattoo on my body but him. His location where he does his tattoo art is clean, cozy and relaxing. The whole time he was doing my tattoo I felt right at home! I waited less then a month for my tattoo appointment only because someone canceled because of a family emergency but I would have waited a year because he's that good! I've been meaning to come to this place for a while now. I've read good reviews about it in the past, however, as soon as I walked in the shop(which by the way), I'll be fair & say, it's nicely decorated, seemed clean, & there were a bunch of 1st Place trophies on display from different tattoo conventions/ shows; I had a rude awakening... There was a guy behind the front desk, however, I had to ask him to PLEASE help me bc he saw me coming in, standing in front of him, & was not the least bit interested in doing so. He was showing something to someone else(I'm almost sure he was a tattoo artist w/ a client), & that's fine, I understand you could be an artist & have a client you're working w/, however, courtesy & good customer service(which is what keeps your business running), has nothing to do w/ any of that. I work w/ the public & there is no acceptable excuse you can give me as to why you don't acknowledge a customer coming through your door to get info & spend their money at your establishment... The guy saw the look on my face, called some other guy that was in the back who also took his time to come to the front to help me(I honestly should've walked out). The shop seemed to be empty, I only saw one artist tattooing & no one seated in the waiting area to get anything done. I was literally the only one there & not even like that could I get decent service. The price I got for what I wanted seemed high & although the guy that I talked to seemed to have knowledge of what he was saying, I already had a sour taste in my mouth & left... Trust me, that'll be the 1st & last time I will ever come here. I will not recommend anyone to come here either. They could be the best shop in Miami(not saying they are), but what truly makes you the best is humility & the opinion your customers develop based on an overall positive experience from the moment they walk in, to the moment they walk out even if they don't get anything done. If a tattoo artist is going to sit in the front desk, he needs to help whoever's coming through the door, if not, get your ass up from the front desk chair & go to a work station where you can concentrate w/ your client & not have to be 'bothered' by whoever's walking in & thinks you're the person that's going to help. You come in with an idea and end up with a beautiful piece of art that you would've never imagined possible. I get compliments on my tattoo wherever I go.
