I walked in and she had a room full of people waiting, so I offered to come back another time. She insisted that she would only be a minute. Ten minutes later, she got around to pinning my pants. This alone is perfectly fine - I can understand a busy shop. She writes up my ticket, tells me they will be ready in 10 days - a little long, but I agreed to it. I came back ten days later, and she tells me they aren't done yet. In fact, they were sitting, untouched, in the exact same spot she had put them when I dropped them off ten days ago. She tells me they won't be ready for 2 more days. I came back in 2 days and her shop was closed for the day. I came back a few days later, and she tells me they STILL AREN'T DONE! At this point I am pretty irritated. She has taken nearly twice as long as she said she would, and for a simple hem! Her solution is for me to pay her in advance, and then she will stuff my finished pants in her mailbox so I can pick them up at my convenience. I'm so fed up with dealing with this woman that I agree. Here's the kicker: she charged me $20 per pair. I have had many pants hemmed, (maybe I should learn how to sew...) and I have NEVER paid anywhere near that much. Service so bad and prices so high, you think someone is playing a joke on you. Ugh.

We also had some blue fabric cut from a departed family members tshirt and stiched into the lining of the wedding dress. This not only acted as something blue, but was there for the family as well. This cost was rolled into the alterations I had requested. My wedding was in October, I called in Feb for an appointment. I had about 6 appointment's with Olga. Each one was timed perfectly, never did I feel rushed. I received SO many compliments on my dress. The store is small but big enough for everyone. Thank you so much Olga for everything. The women here are kind, but that's about the only good thing I can say. I honestly don't know if they're inexperienced or just have never worked with a Black woman's curves before, but not one, not two, but three of my dresses were completely botched. I also had a top altered and it came back lopsided. After the first round of alterations, the owner tried to gaslight me, saying they had only adjusted the strap for my burgundy dress (which was never the main issue). I initially asked for the sides to be taken in because the bust area was too big, but somehow, that got lost in translation. So I paid AGAIN, for all to be fixed and what I got back was even worse. Everything felt rushed, uneven, and downright sloppy. I bawled my eyes out because these dresses were meant for my birthday trip. The white dress? It was the most horrendous one, imagine the outline of Sarah Baartman on a modern-day garment. That's how distorted the shape was. Even after a third attempt, the seams were still crooked and the dress was unwearable. I'm now left dressless for my trip and out of money. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.

I went to pick them up on the Saturday they were supposed to be ready and was told they needed 30 more minutes. I got my hair done and came back a couple hours later and still had to wait another 30 minutes. I also noticed other patrons coming and going having the same experience.
