Really cool place, on the way to beautiful Priest Lake, but close enough to visit from where we camp in Newport WA. Pretty drive, too. Their signature sandwiches are absolutely delicious. Fluffy soft bread, good deli meats, and fixins as fresh as you can get. We went on a busy Friday night, sat at the historic bar, and were taken care of by a hustling, multi-tasking pro bartender who was a sweetie, as well. She probably thought we were nuts with how much we ordered, but understood we were taking back a later nosh for the campground. Ok, I really need to "Yelp the Hell out of" The Falls Inn. What a perfect way to end a great camping trip to Priest Lake. Service, food, atmosphere were perfect! Called before we left the lake as we were looking for a place with outdoor seating that would allow dogs. The very friendly person answered all our questions. When we arrived they already had a table ready on the back patio for our group of seven and they brought over a fresh bowl of water for our pup. Service was awesome! Very friendly and attentive. Even the manager came out to talk to us. Good beer selection and the drafts were cold and served in a chilled glass. Be sure you are hungry when ordering a sandwich. I only ate half of a small and I was starving! All the food our table had was tasty.. Pizza, appetizers, sandwiches... I had one of the special sandwiches, can't remember the name, but it had pineapple and ham. Wow! Was it tasty. We stepped inside to look around and really liked the atmosphere. Stopped in for the first time in years Ashley, our bartender and server was excellent, personable, friendly, great with kids, and all one could ask. We had pizza, and i am used to having to eat half a pizza to even feel like i ate anything...surprise! Pizza was thick, flavorful, loaded with toppings, and truly worth the visit even if everything else was sub-par. To have pizza this good and a SUPERIOR crew made it not to be missed. Kaiden, the cook, did an excellent job, and between he and Ashley, it was a wonderful experience for my child as well. And, to top it off, there is a beautiful view of the Falls, which in the peak of spring runoff is quite spectacular HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

Stopped in for lunch today while we were out for a drive. Nice little place. We sat at the bar where the waitress suggested. Had a nice view of the waterfall that flows under the building. There were not a ton of options on the menu but, after having lunch I don't think they need to much more. We ordered a couple of sandwiches. Prices seemed a little high at first but, the sandwiches were huge and piled high with meat and fixens. The wife and I only finished half each of our sandwiches. Can't wait til later to finish the rest. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try. I'm sure we will be back. read more

Stopped in here a few weeks ago and had such a great time. We showed up with quite a few people and were tended to immediately. The sandwiches were HUGE and delicious. And the bread was amazing. The Inside was really unique and the view of the falls from the window behind the bar was so cool. Despite being busy the staff was really friendly and service was quick. First of all this is a small, I mean really small, local bar/restaurant. Do not go in here thinking you are at at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, as I said it is small and understaffed. On the day I was here there were two lovely ladies working there tails off making sandwiches and pizza while also tending bar and bussing tables. As for the food, the sandwiches, even the "baby" size, were piled high with meat, lettuce, tomato, etc. so make sure you are very hungry if you order even a small! I tried a medium pizza that they had on the specials board and I have to tell you, it was piled high with cheese, meat, and veggies. Though I came here with a friend, the two of us only made it through half! Pretty darn good food, ice cold beer, nice wine selection, friendly locals, and a super overworked small staff, I am definitely coming back! read more

There really is a waterfall under the building. Kind of unique. We stopped here after a great weekend at Priest Lake. There was just one bartender/cook/server and she was awesome. She greeted us right away and said "red beer for y'all?" So funny! We asked what made her say that and she said it looked like we would enjoy one on an early Sunday afternoon. And she was right - we did! We ordered the huge sandwich ($26) which fed all four of us, plus we took two sections home. The meats we chose were pastrami and ham, which is their traditional sandwich. We also ordered fries and tartar and onion rings. They were great! It's so warm and inviting here. Wood stove, pool table, old belly up to it bar - very casual. We would have liked to spend more time there but we'll definitely be back and try the pizza. read more

Reviewed this place 10 years ago! It still has all the great characteristics of a great dive. The recent change in ownership has been a great thing. They have upped their game in the wine department and we were even able to buy a bottle to go. The sandwiches were great as always. The soup was yummy and hit the spot on a frigid North Idaho day. We tried the fried pickles for the first time and were blown away they are so good! Service was top notch we can't wait for lunch at the Falls next time we are in the neighborhood. read more

7 miles from Priest River... 15 miles from Priest Lake... 30 years into the past. The name is not just a clever pun (although I have indeed fallen in more than once), the bar is actually built over a waterfall, I have seen the bartender fishing from his bar stool. You are halfway in the middle of nowhere, you know you are thirsty, why not stop in and fortify yourself for the drive ahead of you? Ate here with a local after hiking nearby. Very unique setting with pub perched over a fast moving stream. Beautiful rustic building. Sat at good sized bar. There are a couple of tables with chairs and a pool table. Our server was friendly & helpful. We ordered excellent Alaska beer which I have never had. Nice amber brew. We both detest IPA's & this Alaska brew was amazing. We ordered one pizza to share which I was skeptical that it would be enough but it was plenty. The pizza was a deep dish style. I loved this place until I ordered 2 ham sandwiches. The waitress/cook was in the ozone she couldn't multi task and we waited 1 hour and no sign of her preparing our food. She had 2 other tables and a couple people at the bar. I finally went over to her and told her I couldn't wait anymore and under her breath she said "I do the best I can I'm only human" !! Within 5 minutes the sandwiches came to the table and they were good but the waitress had an attitude. If I was the owner of this place she would be GONE !!! Very bad for business !!!2 read more

The subs were good, but I will never return because of a hour and a half wait time for two sandwiches. It wasn't busy, but the poor waitress was doing everything on her own, extremely slowly. It honestly was ridiculous. There was a couple before us that was waiting for their food when we got there. After about an hour of us waiting we decided to play pool and the other couple told the lady to change their order to to-go. Then a lady walked in and said she had a single pizza call in. The waitress said that she had been so busy that she hadn't even started it yet. That lady then canceled her order and left. I understand that this waitress probably was frazzled doing everything on her own, but it seriously wasn't busy at all. Then after she finally brought out our food she popped open a bag of chips and stood behind the bar. Other than that something that irked us was: When she asked us what we wanted to drink we all got water, but then she brought out bottled water and charged us for it. There is nothing wrong with that, but it would have been nice to know beforehand. When she handed me a bottle I refused it, but I think we were still charged. We didn't get an itemized ticket, sadly. When we arrived (sometime in the 2 pm hour) we were coming home from camping and thought it would be a nice late lunch. I was planning on meeting my family for dinner at 6. We didn't get our food until 4 something and by that time I just wrapped up my half because it was so close to dinner.
