Of course I recommend The Sewing Basket for all of your fabric needs! Located in the quaint…read moredowntown area of Plymouth Wisconsin, the Sewing Basket has a tremendous selection of fabric- roughly four-large-rooms combined. I am always drawn into fabric stores while on a quest to secure fabric for my supremely artistic twin sister. I am not a quilter/crafter/sewer by any means. My twin sister has not met a fabric store she hasn't fallen in love with. So, for her, I went to the shop with no intention of purchasing material. I sent her photos of material. Next thing you know....one hour later... three large bags of material and $200 later, I escaped. Needless to say, my twin was pleased. Her particular favorites included the fabric with sewing cats and the Wisconsin-outdoor-printed fabrics. The Sewing Basket seems to be a community favorite- a gathering spot and a place that offers classes. The owner was very friendly and accommodating.

The first level is full of modern fixtures with beautifully curated displays. The staff remains to their own until you ask for their help, so nice when you are just taking it all in. We loved looking at all the different displays. Downstairs, the history of Kohler, a great timeline and information on the company from the very start with displays from some first fixtures and where they are today. It was great to see their humble beginnings and how the family business has transformed to what it is today. Upstairs, artist designed spaces.
