Pretty impressive store! We stopped because the long walls along 2 sides of the building had hundreds of plants to shop through, then we went inside the store and were blown away by the incredible variety if items, as well as the quality! They carried lots of toys, games, puzzles, crafts, fabrics, women's clothing, greeting cards, etc., etc., etc. My girlfriend bought a game from her childhood and felt to make a baby book for her friend. I bought Green Bay Packers socks for my sister and fudge. I highly recommend a visit when you're anywhere near the area! read more

My husband and I lived in Sheboygan at one time and went to the Laundromat in Sheboygan Falls. We discovered Evans when I was looking for a birthday present for one of my grandson. In town for meeting in Kohler and came across this place accidentally - wow, what a great store! Their toy section is one of the more impressive toy collections I have seen - reminds me of depth and selection of a Toys R Us. Service from Evans employees was outstanding as well. What even is this place? I don't even know how to start. My mother-in-law took me here because she said "they have everything". And I just kind of nodded. But they really DO have everything here! Clothes, toys, food, crafts, lawn care.... It is a very weird assortment of things. Almost like a swap meet, but all under the same roof. We were here for hours, because time ceases to exist when you're in here. Some things are a little overpriced, but it's reasonable for the most part. The layout makes no sense, so good luck if you're attempting to find something specific. The shelves are overflowing and the aisles are narrow. A lot of stuff is also pretty dusty/grody looking. It's definitely worth exploring though! read more

Weird and wonderful. Great stop if you're exploring Sheboygan. Parents: This place has toys & games for days & days. Classics. Throwbacks like "Fast Track" ( in TWO sizes!!). Newer stuff (Pokemon). Fisher Price. Thomas Wooden Railway. etc etc etc. Probably not the place to pick up a cool Sheboygan / Wisconsin t-shirt or postcards. They do have lots of greeting cards and socks though. Again: weird & wonderful. We found a "Dutch Blitz" card game that was fun to learn & play. Highly recommend the board & card game aisle. read more

I love Evans and live in Sheboygan Falls. I try to shop local above all else. Can't say I've ever had a bad experience or been disappointed there until today. I left the store feeling embarrassed. An older. female employee with long blonde hair scolded me. I set a box down to examine the contents before purchasing an item. Apparently, I set it down at a closed register. Her tone and angry look was unnerving. She said I couldn't be there and had to get away from the register- I felt like she thought I might try to rob the joint. I told her what I was doing (looked like a table-top counter area to me. Not a register. Which is beside the point). Her level of disrespect was was over the top. I wanted so badly to buy some birthday gifts there today for my granddaughter. I'm headed elsewhere, unfortunately and wondering if that woman has a clue. It's the most unique small town store I've ever seen. If BenFrankle, Woolworths, a bygone toy store & Kmart had a baby it would be Evans! If there is a game from your childhood you'd love to find, there's a 95% chance that Evans has it. You will have to hunt for it as there is no rhyme or reason how thing's are displayed,but it's there. Is there a kitchen gadget you remember your grandmother or mom using that you've never found one of your own, it's there. The summer planting flowers are hearty & a fraction of the price anywhere else. You probably have to step over & dust some thing's to find that thing you're looking for, but it will be fun! read more

I'm not sure what I was expecting after reading the reviews, but I was severely disappointed. Everything seemed to be overpriced. I balked after looking at some of the prices and there were other people in the store commenting and laughing about the prices. The staff ignored that I was there. The store was dark and the placement of everything felt chaotic. I'm sure you could find what you were looking for here, but you're going to pay anywhere for a dollar to several dollars more. read more

Very nice spot to find a gift for babies and children. Some of the things on my daughter's Amazon wish for my granddaughter were here, so it was nice picking out things locally and seeing just what they were. Wowwwww......This store is SUPER fun to browse! Give yourself at least an hour to browse if not more. So much fun in stock! A whole wall...and its a long one...of games! Lots and lots and lots of gift possibilities. I was there on a Saturday in December, and it was pretty busy. There's so much stuff and narrow aisles, so some customers were grumbly about other customers being in their way. But then again: Saturday in December. I spent a lot more money than I intended, but I found cool gifts and stuff I needed around the house. If you are looking for something specific and aren't very familiar with the layout of the store it can be difficult to find....better for a browsing experience. I was told this store had everything. This true. There is endless variety. I was there on a Monday afternoon and it was not very crowded. The staff knew exactly where things were located. I found kitchen gadgets that I never thought I'd see again. Evans is a store but really a product archive. This is a place you need to go first, before you go anywhere else. read more

O. M. G. This store is AWESOME! They carry items and brands I haven't seen in years. So many kitschy things...so little room. The store is as endless as the variety of stock they carry.
