This St Vinny's is HUGE. You go off to the right and there is some housewares and kids area, furniture and shelves and shelves of housewares, gadgets and tools. If you go left at the entrance, you'll see women's and kid's clothing, an entire wall of shoes, and a wide spread media area. The men's clothing is immediately to your right when you walk in the door. My main issue with this store is their pricing. I get that the name brands and designers or vintage desirable items call for higher prices. However, there was a scuffed up pairs of kids boots and even those were marked at 10.99. They had the Fisher Price 1990s dollhouse with all of the pieces. I sent a photo to my brother because we have a hilarious family story based around this house. However, I may have jolted a bit when I read the $200 price tag. You don't have to give it away because it is a nonprofit and you can help more people if you sell those expensive things. BUT, you don't make ANY money if it just sits there. Same for any purses or shoes. We still found quite a bit to purchase, but I could've done a lot more damage considering we aren't from the area. This was once a great thrift store, a fun treasure hunt, a warm, caring establishment where people asked about one another, a place where retired people gathered, chatted, and found some good finds. Now it is an unprofessional, crazy, trashy nightmare. One evening I arrived at 5 pm and the music playing was the "Cookie Monster on steroids" speed-metal variety, and it was being played very loudly. It was so jarring and so loud that you couldnt think straight. I had the feeling that they were using the music to drive people out of the store so they could close on time. The short-haired blonde who works behind the register is incredibly rude. A regular customer approached the registers to check out. There are three cash registers in a row. The blonde said, "I can take you on the first register." The customer approached what would logically be considered the first register- the very first register in the line of registers. The blonde went to the register at the opposite end, and said to the customer, as though correcting a child, "Ma'am, that's not the first register. This is the first register." The customer said, "Oh, this looked like the first register to me." (She was right.) The blonde worker pointed to each register and said condescendingly ,"No ma'am, my register is the first register, that is the second register, and that is the third register." You don't argue with the customer, esp about which register is the first register! You apologize for not being clear and move on with the transaction. Another time a male customer waited 5 minutes or so for someone to notice he was at the checkout counter, and he made a comment about it when the blonde finally came to wait on him. The blonde responded, "This isn't Wal-Mart! We don't have greeters here!" Then the blonde says, "Did you know Wal-Mart only pays their greeters $1 an hour? It's true!". The customer said, "I think they make more than that." The blonde says, "I know, I was making a joke." Huh? Who jokes like that? Who rebukes the customer for complaining about being ignored? None of the "vintage" stuff, priced at hundreds of dollars, moves- it sits there for weeks on end, because it's way overpriced. The staff who prices it looks up the first price that the item is listed for on eBay and assumes that's the item's value, they don't look for a sold listing to see what the item is actually selling for. And Vinny's gets all their inventory for free- should they be selling "vintage" items at their retail price? They throw thousands of dollars worth of donated merchandise into dumpsters because they don't have room for it. Why not price items at a price that sells and keep inventory moving, instead of paying the dumpster service to throw it away? Most of the long-term staff see this and point it out but no one's listening. read more

This is my favorite of the thrift shops in Sheboygan. The staff is so sweet. They're super helpful and friendly. There's a TON of stuff here, both new and old. They have quite a bit of furniture and appliances, and lamps. Their prices are the way thrift shops should be! Glassware for less than a dollar, books at about a dollar, tons of sales and marked tags. I always find something here and it's DEFINITELY worth checking out. read more

This non profit is a good and giving organization that is primarily staffed by volunteers. I would ask of any person commenting on Yelp who disparages the occasional unsmiling Volunteer: where do you volunteer? And how often do you do it? Some of these folks are on duty twice a week or more. Some are low income folks. some are elderly. They are giving of their time and to community. read more

My DIL and I stopped in Dec 2 in the afternoon, around 3pm. There was an employee rolling out a cart that had packing tape on it. I asked her if they were available and if so how much. To which she replied 50 cents a roll. I said I'll take them all. There were about 12 rolls. As she handed me the rolls she hesitated and decided she wanted me to have all but 2 rolls. As if she had a vested interest in being a rationing deciding factor for the quantity to which people are allowed to buy merchandise. I asked her why and she didn't have an answer when her coworker chimed in posing as a customer saying she would like the two remaining rolls. To which I responded saying, ya know what, she can have them all. I left behind all other things I had intended to buy including the tape. Fast forward to check out for my DIL's purchase. There was a singular, chatty, somewhat slow moving cashier taking care of the lady before us when she called over the intercom asking for help because our line grew to approximately 7 waiting to be cashed out. The same "tape lady" is the one to respond and open a register. Now mind you, I'm the next in line and had time vested the longest (long enough to watch it grow 7-8 deep) so instead of tape lady saying I CAN TAKE THE NEXT CUSTOMER IN LINE, she sees it's us and decided that she was feeling some type of way about us at this point. So her frumpy hateful self let THE WHOLE LINE BEHIND ME move over to her opened register. I wouldn't let that unfriendly, hateful sow wash toilets for me. A little perturbed that I'm unsure of her name, Lina or something similar. Hey Lina, The merchandise being donated IS NOT YOURS, you have NO VESTED INTEREST OR CLAIM TO IT so chill the EFFF out when customers are trying to buy, that's the one singular reason these items are donated. Also, you're ugly on the outside as well as on the inside. read more

How thrift store pricing should be. Found some old tapes for .39 cents. A VHS movie for . 50 and popular box sets for .79 cents. What a steal. I mainly frequent the thrift stores for old movies and books and some old music. So this place was a gold mine and cheap! Place is pretty large. Clean. Fairly well organized. Located right off the hwy and right across from Shuff's restaurant. read more
