What a cute theater to see local talent! We popped in for a comedy show by a two girl troupe that was hilarious!! They have comedy every night and the tickets are very low priced.A few drink options in the front before the show begins and very eclectically decorated.

    Entrance sign to the theater.

We went to a Friday night show here and had a great time. Local austin talent is great! And we really enjoyed the traveling stand up show from a guy from Chicago. Wish I could remember his name. Nice intimate venue with lots of seating.

    Small venue!

Comedy.... coooommmmedy... here boy... where are ya comedy... seriously get in here boy! Comedy get in here!! My wife and I attended a yelp event here. It was a 10:30pm show that went to midnight. We walked in and were pleasantly surprised... they had a small bar with drinks. After looking at reviews we thought there were no drinks... surprise! It's a limited selection but a great surprise all the same. After having a drink in the lounge area (we were early) we walked into the show space and found it to be very "intimate". A small stage and only about 120 seats or so. This really made for an up close and personal feel. The way good comedy is meant to be. Anticipation set in... Unfortunately this was not good comedy. It lacked comedy in a big way... it was a variety show... multiple performances/acts, and most of them fell extremely flat. I hate to bash any one brave enough to get up in front of people and expose themselves in this manor... but most of this event was a struggle. The MC tried (but came off just goofy), the acts were "different" (but unfortunately just not very funny), and the event was severely void of laughs. I will shout out to two of the acts though and say they were good... the pepper eating movie guys... tortured themselves for laughs... and it worked. Then the only true improv of the night the country rappers.... they were funny! They both deserve a larger part in the show as these two acts saved the night form a total bust! The venue is cool.. sound is good... and over all it should tee up for a great opportunity to be up close and personal with the acts... meaning great laughs! I do have one main suggestion for the venue... if you're going to bill the show as improv, you might want to have improve in the show?! Just thinking... ya know? I REALLY liked the space... the location is a great spot for a comedy show and I might just have to try it again... thanks Luci (our wonderful CM)/Yelp for the event! It was a cool place and it was nice to get out and "go to the show".

Came for a comedy show and it was a nice way to spend Friday night. They do shows at 2 hour intervals all the way to 11:30pm. You can buy tickets online for $2+ cheaper or at the door. We got tickets through Eventbrite for an improv show and enjoyed the drinks and smaller, younger crowd. There are two arcade cabinets with games like Pacman & Streetfighter you can play while waiting for the show to start. They take cash, card, and mobile pay. Water is $2 bottled only.

I came here for the show naughty bits, which is hosted by Nikita Redkar and Katie Stone. It was my first time seeing a comedy show live and it was fun! The place is small but it has a hip vibe to it and feels intimate. The comedy show itself was alright. Some jokes were hit or miss but I suppose but it had a fun atmosphere. I still felt like I had a good time and it was worth my while. I really liked the concept of hosting various local comedians as some are like hidden treasure. Their style is unique and different from the comedians I've seen on TV. I would love to come here again! I definitely thought some of the local comedians were hilarious and I have started following them on twitter to see updates of their next shows.

Ask the Community - Fallout Theater

    Is this venue 18+?

Hi Alissandra - No, we are not 18+ and all ages are welcome. The content of the shows is usually…

I see it says BYOB. So for the record, I can have like a pint size bottle of Jack Daniels and bring it in and be ok? If I sound silly please forgive me. I just want to be sure that its no stipulation around BYOB.

When I went there they had a small bar that had a select option of cocktails, a few wines and a few beers. It was very concession stand-ish. But decent. It was not BYOB and I was there last week on the weekend.

Security guard makes a really dumb statement as he touches my leg-- "hmm did you have surgery recently?" WTF? Bro get your fuggin hand off my leg you creep. Not okay. Then we get seated. 2 drink minimum. Wait staff was rude. I had the light on to call the server...no one came. I waved down a server who was helping a group directly in front of me...she snarkily said I have to leave my light on and that MY server would come to take my order. My server never came back except to hand me the closing check. I try to explain to her that I never got my second drink. She said oh well, last call passed (which she never told me). I ask for a receipt and she doesn't give it. I leave no tip. My charge was about 18.50. I look at my card statement the next day and it was rounded up to $20. What's so funny about this...after I told her the situation about the drink and we had no resolution...she literally went to the group on the left of me, and brought the guy a drink that he never received either! I thought the bar was closed??? Where is my drink??? Terrible. As for the comedy. They sucked. From the opener doing some lame "Robert De Niro" impression, to Brian Simpson (a pro). The jokes were not funny in the slightest. The audience didn't really laugh either. Overall, this was my 2nd time here and the negative experience is too much to look over. 2 stars.

It turned out to be a nice evening out. Two comedians warmed up the crowd before Malik B took the stage, and from the moment he started, he had everyone laughing. His observations, relatable humor, and effortless delivery kept the audience fully engaged. His set was packed with laughs, blending everyday experiences with clever storytelling. His comedic timing was outstanding and reminded us of the younger Eddie Murphy. One of the highlights of the show was Malik B's interactions with the audience, including a physical education teacher, a salesperson, and a former stripper. He kept returning to their stories throughout the set, creating hilarious running jokes that had the crowd roaring with laughter. Interestingly, he surprised them by offering to pay their tab at the end of the show (major nice gesture). Capitol City Comedy Club provided the perfect setting for a night of entertainment. The venue was comfortable, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere made for a great experience. Please note that there is a two-item minimum purchase per person for food and beverages. Parking was also a breeze, with plenty of free parking available in both the mall lots and parking garages.
