I thought the show was great. It's tough out there and I can appreciate them trying to work the crowd and get something going. So you want to see something more "real", support this by coming out.

Great reviews, great location, and it's BYOB. Tickets were $20 for front row or $15 for GA seating. We bought GA, as we figured people sitting in the front row would probably be used as part of the show and that wasn't the vibe for us. We arrived 10 min before the scheduled start of the show and quickly found seats in the 3rd row. I liked the way they set up all the seats, making it easy for everyone to have a clear view no matter where you sat. The show started a little behind schedule (~10 min) but that was ok. We used the time to use the bathroom one last time and settle into our seats. There were 6 comics and all were funny!! I enjoyed the show they set up a lot. One thing I will say is that 2 of my friends had been to EAC a few months ago and recognized 2-3 of the comics, and they were using the same exact material because my friends new pretty much every joke they were about to say. This is not an issue, but does make me wonder about how often I can come back to EAC, given that it may be the same comics with the same set. Either way, I had a great time!

Every party was required a 2 drink minimum per person. It's a pretty pricey experience compared to other comedy clubs in town, but you pay for the name. The only hiccup I had was the line. You're advised to arrive 45mins - 1 hour early, but you just stand on the street most of the time. You can only enter the actual line when it's almost time for your show, so arriving early is not for the purpose of getting good seats. They didn't actually let us get in line until 10mins before our show. All GA seats were actually just fine. The purpose is to make sure you have enough time to get through security, but that took just a couple minutes. Would I come back? Probably not unless there was someone specific in the lineup I had to see. It was definitely something nice to experience at least once.

I was on high alert & prepared for a slightly scary experience walking to the Mothership location. I'm glad that I was prepared for a rough environment - but my experience was nothing but pleasant. There was a crowd of staff members & security present when we lined up to enter. I never felt unsafe for a moment. Staff members were super friendly, helpful & welcoming. After a short wait outside, we were escorted in & led to our table. Seating was very tight & I was halfway sitting on the lap of the fellow next to me. I could not move & that's saying a lot since I'm quite skinny. Our server arrived & took drink orders. Since my husband & I don't drink, we just ordered seltzers ($4 each-very reasonable). She returned swiftly & without disrupting the show. There is a 2 drink minimum per guest which is clearly disclosed when purchasing tickets. There was a good variety of comics. Three comics I'd never heard of though others seemed familiar with them. Tony Henchcliffe then did a set & he totally played off the audience which was great. Joe Rogan followed Tony & must've done an hour or so which included a 15 minute "ask me anything" set for the audience. This was the highlight of the show to me. The questions were so random & unexpected. I am a big supporter of "no phones" at live shows. I wish there was a clock somewhere in the room. And I wanted to take photos inside the entrance and funny enough- the women's restroom. The wallpaper was epic! Thankfully they post photos on Instagram daily so you can at least have some physical memories from your visit. We found parking directly behind the club ($20). It was only a 2 minute walk back to our car. The audience was fun and relaxed and the club has a very chill atmosphere. I definitely want to return for a "Bottom of the barrel" show one day. Overall, we had a great time. Will be back for sure.

Scoped out the venue which was bigger than anticipated and really enjoyed the fish tank TVs. So fun! The show was entertaining and up to date with references all relevant to the current times. Everyone on stage was great and their chemistry can be seen. The audience was laughing 99% of the time and the show went back fast! I'd totally go back for a local Austin night out with good laughs.

They do a mix of comedy, magic, music , and just overall great entrainment for their shows. It's mainly themed around local and world politics + the LGBTQ community. Tickets are approximately $40. The show is about 90 minutes, with a 5 min break halfway through. They have a bar on site, and a taqueria that's connected to their building as well. Highly recommend the taqueria, it's authentic and delicious! Absolutely recommend for locals, visitors, and those who just want to enjoy a great show in the best city in the country!

On the bad side: it's way too expensive for what it is, especially with the two-drink minimum. The drinks are trash. The "hound Dog" cocktail got both me and my girlfriend actually sick -- we had stomach aches the whole show. Bathrooms are gross and don't feel regularly cleaned, and the floors in the club itself were sticky both visits, which is nasty for somewhere charging that much. so overall great comedy, grimy venue on 6th street, and overpriced drinks. But things change, so now it's a comedy club. I love the system where you turn on the light when you need drink service. I don't love the 2 drink minimum when you're already paying for a show. That's the same as the big comedy club in town, but different than the similarly sized comedy club I prefer to frequent. Everything else is good, though. Good variety of comedians come through here and they sell tall boy beers for like $7 or $8 which isn't bad.
