On top of that, this issue came during a time where the winter season had just changed, and this and other companies were backed up. After calling, Katie explained this to me, and explained that she would contact me back once a slot filled open. She did and a very professional team of two came and looked at the piping a few days later. They explained what they would be doing and went out and bought the tools they needed and repaired the pipe in a few hours. I also had some other unrelated piping issues and the tech was eager to take a look at it for me and attempted to help remedy the situation, and also said he would have his boss provide me with a quote. I will eventually call them again to take care of the other issues, because they were very professional and confident, unlike the 2 other contractors that came by. Great service! Will do business again.

We were confident in his abilities based on how well he listened to our concerns and was able to help in a pinch. He was personable and engaging. We felt his estimate was fair and honest. He helped walk us through the RISE process for Weatherizing our home, and was super patient as we dealt with a lengthy delay in processing the 0% financing loan - which in the end, was the most frustrating part of it. But, surprise, surprise, that's a RISE problem - not an RE Coogan problem! Coogan's dedicated team of professionals were efficient, prompt and neat throughout the installation of our new unit. Our heat and hot water never worked so well - atleast in the years I can remember! He brought us great peace of mind and a relationship that we are fortunate to have for our future needs.

R. E. Coogan Heating Inc. is an exceptional company, and I highly recommend them…read more When our hot water boiler stopped working over a weekend, I spent Monday calling several companies for help. Most either weren't familiar with my boiler or couldn't schedule a service call for days. When I called Rob, the owner of R. E. Coogan Heating Inc., he explained that they were busy but promised to stop by that evening to see what he could do. Rob arrived around 7 PM and spent over an hour troubleshooting the problem. Although he couldn't get the boiler running that night, he assured me he would contact the manufacturer the next day and continue looking for a solution. True to his word, he called me the following day with recommendations from the manufacturer and returned that evening to try them. It was clear that he was doing everything possible to repair the boiler and save us the expense of a replacement. Unfortunately, the boiler could not be repaired because the required parts were no longer available from the manufacturer. After exhausting every reasonable option to restore it, Rob helped us move forward with a replacement as quickly as possible. After four days without hot water, I expected we would have to wait at least another week for a new installation. Rob initially estimated that the work could begin Friday and be completed by Monday. However, he called on Wednesday to let me know he had rearranged his schedule and hoped to start earlier. At 3 PM on Thursday, Rob arrived with Henry and Nick to begin removing the old boiler. He then brought in additional crew members the next day and worked hard to complete the installation as quickly as possible. As promised, our new boiler was installed and our hot water was restored by Friday evening. What impressed me most was Rob's commitment to helping us. He went out of his way to accommodate our family, worked tirelessly to find the most cost-effective solution, and followed through on every promise he made. Henry, Nick, and the rest of the team were professional, courteous, and respectful of our home, leaving everything clean when the job was finished. It is rare to find a company that combines expertise, integrity, and genuine care for its customers the way R. E. Coogan Heating Inc. does. We are extremely grateful to Rob and his team for their outstanding service and highly recommend them.

After putting me on hold for nearly 20 minutes I called back and my call was immediately answered by the same person. They assured me it would not be a problem. Friday afternoon I called up asking for an ETA and they claimed the order didn't come in until Friday morning, so they won't be delivering until Saturday. I reminded them again that I am basically out of oil and they gave a snarky reply when I asked if I needed to run out and get some diesel fuel to get me through. I called Saturday afternoon as I still hadn't received the delivery. They simply told me they were still out delivering and give them a call again in an hour and a half. I called over an hour and half later, asked about my delivery and they told me that it was now too dark at 6PM to continue delivering so they will need to attempt to fit me in tomorrow Sunday. I am now going to get another can of diesel fuel and continue to have enough keep me going through most of tomorrow as I will currently run out before morning. Would definitely NOT recommend.

Ok sounds good. He finished and gave us the bill. Once he left, I did some research on the actual unit he installed. Researched using the exact model # on the unit. Price new was 200. He charged us 750 for the unit. So I went a step further and called the manufacturer and also supply warehouse just to verify price. All prices between 190 and 210. So I called him. He tried telling me hewould refund me 100-200 dollars to which I said absolutely not. Keep in mind my wife was the only one at home at install time. So he knew what he was doing. After a few back and forth he knew he was caught. He refunded me 450 dollars. No business would do that if they are being legit. I understand charging a bit more for the unit but 550 dollars more is stealing. He knew what he was doing and he got caught. Stay away from this business.
