Price: insanely great deal. It was like $25 or so/person for a 2 hour private experience where we had the opportunity to ask any questions to the kangaroo expert! I stumbled upon this hidden gem about 35 minutes from Seattle area via social media, and I couldn't recommend it more than enough! The owner is full of a unique humor style, often intertwining jokes. He's definitely a character to note. He's fully passionate about teaching you about kangaroos and wallabies but keep your young children at home if they're not able to sit still or understand the material! The tour began with a 40 minute ish presentation about what kangaroos are, the development of kangaroos (in which you could actually see the baby in the pouch). I learned an insane amount of material from the function of different parts of the kangaroo to how his kangaroos appeared in the National Geographic. It was then followed by a 15 minute or so session with a baby wallaby he keeps around his cloth pouch. And then a 45 minute or so session with the outdoor kangaroos/wallabies. Here are a few fun facts he taught us: - The kangaroo's tail is similar to a crutch. It can't walk without the tail because the kangaroo's legs move together in tandem. They use their hands to stabilize themselves on the ground and their feet to move forward. - The kangaroo's hands are for walking, grooming, and eating. They do not use it to attach others. - The babies are born as pink little jellybeans. They have an instinct to use their hands to climb up to the mother's pouch and stay in there for several months developing until about 6 months or so in which they stick their head out, starts to eat dirt and grass, and allows for the bacteria to kickstart their digestive system. At 9.5 months, the baby will eventually leave the pouch or the mother will kick it out. - Kangaroo mothers have the ability to halt an embryo's development for up to 2 years called Embryonic diapause. Would definitely visit again!

This was an amazing experience for me and my family. Today was my son's 4th birthday and we just googled and saw the reviews. It is very friendly and educational. He was very great host and had a great since of humor. The kangaroos are very friendly and adorable! I would definitely recommend going to get this experience! 20 stars up for this once of a lifetime experience!

Rex is incredible, and he armed us with so much knowledge about kangaroos and wallabys. We were so grateful that our roo hang came with su much education. Vinny is a fantastic wallaby, and I love him.

Heard about this place through TikTok. So did the 10 other people in our group so seems like this place is getting some traction after a viral video. Otherwise, I've never even seen this place on any guides or "must see" websites/vlogs/blogs. You have to call and make an appointment. You can't just show up. The place is located in what seems to be a private residential area and there are postage signage to not enter without an appointment. I called at 2pm and was told there was an opening at 4. So my bf and I, as well as another party of 7 arrived at the same time. Didn't really know what to do or where to go, we were 20 mins early. Called the number and the owner said to wait a bit and he arrived at 4. I don't like that he allows late parties because it's a bit rude to not show up on time but there was a party of 3 who came 15 minutes late. Anyways, the first portion is like a 45 minute video. There's a projector in the barn and there's seating on foldable chairs. It's very informative. You learn so much about how a baby wallaby is born and why they grow in their mother's pouch, a little history behind the farm and how it started. It was kinda boring at first. It's a really long educational video. Then afterward he asks if there's any questions and shows us 10 minutes of the National Geographic video that features his kangaroos. Both videos were very informative but shared similar information. I don't know how long the tour is supposed to be but we started a few mins after 4 and exited the gates at 5:15. So after watching the videos we only really got 30 mins inside the actual farm. He gave us tiny pieces of bread to feed the wallabies. He also encouraged us to put a bigger piece of bread in our mouth so the wallaby can take it from there, kind of like a kiss. It was fun and a good photo op. He had maybe 7-10 wallabies of different colors and age. They were a lot smaller than I thought. None were taller than 6 feet when standing up. The place seems to be well kept but there was a good amount of poop so be careful where you step. The owner seems really passionate about what he does. Obviously very knowledgeable and very proud of the work he does (since he's been featured in nat geo and books). Learned a lot of things. I wish we got to spend more time with the wallabies though. Some of the wallabies didn't care for the food but they were all friendly, and they allowed you to pet them. They do jump and like grab your arm/clothes, but the owner is very diligent and will control the situation. It was $20 per person and my bf and I gave a $10 tip. Everyone seemed to pay cash so make sure to bring cash. The owner also accepts Venmo. Also he doesn't make you pay in advance and is relying on your word for you to show up. So please be respectful and don't be a no show. I literally made the reservation via phone call and that was it. No confirmation needed. Didn't even ask for a name. Just needed my phone number and how many people were in my party. Overall, a fun and educational experience. I took away one star just because I don't think we got to spend as much time with the wallabies as I expected. And the video in the beginning was just too long.

THE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! Rex was so incredibly accommodating with allowing us to schedule a last minute tour for me & my 2 friends. We happened to be at the nearby snoqalnie falls looking for something to do and he included us into his 12pm tour. He held such an engaging educational experience that was far more than you'd learn at the zoo. Honestly, thank you Rex for sharing a part of your family. This is something we'll never forget and hopefully we can bring our families sometime soon.

You get to watch a video and learn all about kangaroos.

This is my second time visiting! Our group had a great time! We loved learning about the kangaroos and wallaby's. Tip: Book your tour well in advance. It's common courtesy and ensures you get a spot!

Hands down one of the coolest things to do in Washington state. If you have a group of 5, it's only $20 a person to visit with and learn about kangaroos for 90 min to 120 min! You get to learn about kangaroos with the owner of the ranch with a 20 min intro video when you arrive and then you get to meet, feed, pet and even kiss and hug wallabies and kangaroos. My tour group had young kids in it and it was safe for everyone involved. I was amazed at how sweet the kangaroos were. Highly recommend. My only recommendation before you go is make sure you're not wearing any long earrings and if you have long hair make sure it's on the top of your head because a kangaroo did try to eat my hair (braid) at one point.

If I could give this more stars, I'd give them all The website was easy to follow, the educational video was super interesting and Rex is phenomenal! And of course all the wallabies and kangaroos are adorable.

This was an amazing experience. My husband and I are animal lovers visiting from Arizona and are so excited to have found this educational and up close activity with Roos and Wallabies. Booking was an easy phone call and Rex was able to squeeze my party of 4 two days in advance. He is definitely passionate about these incredible animals and his enthusiasm radiates during the educational portion. There was never a dull moment. Whatever you think you know about Kangaroos, you don't know anything. Fascinating creatures. We had the pleasure of holding baby Victoria Rose and instantly fell in love. Feeding and having an opportunity to pet and give love to the rest of the Roo family was definitely a highlight of our many adventures. Be respectful of the farm and Rex as it is definitely a privilege he shares his knowledge and home.

Our family absolutely loved our time here with Rex and his family if wallabies and kangaroos!!

A five star just isn't enough for this wonderful experience! It was educational, a beautiful ranch setting and Rex so enjoyed sharing what they learned and shared worldwide about his family of wallabies and kangaroos. His love for them and joy in sharing were the best part next to getting to pet and interact with them. Be kind and enjoy this wonderful experience!!

A cute wallaby with a joey in its pouch

Absolutely incredible! Amazing friendly kangaroos and wallabies that you can hang out with and interact for over an hour. You can tell that the owner adores his animals, and is very proud to show them off. There are some negative reviews here about the owner. Yes, the guy is quite eccentric. :) So don't expect the plastic "customer is always right" treatment. You're visiting his home and you should follow his rules. But if you do, this will be an experience that you will be talking about for weeks! Also note that this is not for small kids. Kangaroos are easily spooked by even tiny people running at them, so unless you're sure you can control your kid at all times, consider taking them elsewhere.

BEST PLACE EVER. here's the details you need: -20$/ person cash preferred -you need a group of 5 or more to be prioritized for day and time that you want. if you only have 2 people they'll only let you go if they can tack you onto an existing group of 5 or more already going -I believe the offerings are friday + weekends(?) and on even hours like 12pm, 2pm, 4pm.. we did saturday at 2pm and felt timing was perfect. got full sunlight hours in january -event is a 22 min video + we got over an hr of petting wallaby/ kangaroos. so awesome. Rex the owner gives you some food to feed them too but they're friendly and you can just go up to them and pet em without food too -parking sign says KANGAROO COUNTRY which is a little confusing since everything else says wallaby ranch. but yes that is the correct place to turn it. it's an outdoor parking and NOT a house so don't go knocking on the neighbor's door they will reportedly not be happy -ENJOY! this was a super fun experience and all my friends seemed to love it.

My kids (3 and 6) had a fantastic time and were able to ride the ponies at least 3 times. The ladies handling the horses were super sweet and stopped several times so parents could take pictures of their kids riding. They also let the kids know when it was the "last chance" to ride the horses before it was time for Pizza and Cake, and made sure everyone got their turn! All the kiddos I saw in line got to ride. This place is not like others I have been to where you feel rushed, quite the opposite! After reading the posts below, I really feel the reviewer "Just M" has a vendetta against the place and no real reason to give them a bad review. I am baffled by the fact he writes a review when he wasn't even there! Well, I WAS THERE and everyone I saw at this party was having a great time. I would hire Party Ponies Inc. in a heartbeat! They have a nice big area for kids to play, other animals to pet, small houses for kids to go into, a special room for having food and cake, etc. I recommended as a great alterative for a birthday party. As a disclaimer I want to let everyone know I have no affiliation to this place, I don't know the owner(s), I had never been there before, didn't even knew it existed. I just like to be fair in my reviews and tell things how they really are.
