Very impressed with the prices, portions, and quality! Highly recommend if you like good food and great service!

Cod sandwich, mashed potatoes and gravy. So many other great options to pick from. Tough decision.

Found this place today, where has it been my whole life??? I LOVE everything about this place. Owners were incredibly friendly and the food was great. So glad that I found it. It'll be my go to for lunch for years to come.

This is a trip back to 1950. A small diner's with quick food. Hamburger, soup, pork tenderloin, chicken and dumplings. Furniture from the 60. Full bar. Go they to see a different standards. Go for cheap food. Go there for fast service. Go for a beer or drink. You will be impressed. Just be ready for a trip back into time. The kind of place you would expect teamster to be eating at in 1960.

9-20-19@2:30P Visited FALB'S 201 Kaiser St. hoping they still had their awesome cabbage rolls available- and they did - bought cabbage roll dinner $8 (cabbage roll, mashed potatoes and sauerkraut) and 1 cabbage roll $5, blueberry pie for dessert - really great cabbage rolls treat yourself to these actually everything is good. The 3rd Friday of the month until March 2020 these fabulous cabbage rolls will be available- then you'll have to wait till September 2020 for them 2B available.

This is a great historic eatery located just behind Pepsi on Kiser Street. They have various offerings each day of the week. Closed on weekends. First time I went I had the breaded chicken sandwich. It was very tasty. You can add whatever toppings/condiments you like. Second visit was today, which was cabbage roll day. These are served the 3rd Friday of each month. Ordered the dinner w/mashed potatoes & buttered bread. It was outstanding. Solid portion & excellent flavor. The service & hospitality here are second to none. It's easy to see why they've been in business since 1920. Plenty of parking as well. Definitely give it a go.

First impression was it was very small with narrow passageways for both staff and customers. Clearly most people come for the steaks, which are very good. But the rest of the menu is circa 1950 and uninspired. The only included veg choices were stewed tomatoes or veg of the day - boring green beans with sliced almonds. Everything else was an up-charge. And what's with the local supper clubs and enormous hash brown patties?! Maybe give me a couple $ back if I don't want potatoes. Folks at the bar were great, and table service was prompt and efficient. I was disappointed that our server said they couldn't do anything to recognize my Mom's 83rd birthday "because we don't have dessert." But the server at the table next door to us was really creative-she put a candle in a dinner roll and wrote Happy Birthday on a dinner roll for her client. What a nice gesture! For the one place people save for special occasions, you'd think the Pine Club would take pride in making them special. But for a place that brags about only accepting cash and making a US president wait 30 minutes for a table, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Been there, done that, don't need to go again.

Our server, TAYLOR was the best. So friendly, patient, accommodating, and fun. She made our meal experience. The selection of beers is impressive, and Taylor helped my decision with giving me samples of beers. I went with the Imperial Head Hunter and was happy as can be with this IPA, The food? Incredible. We started with mozzarella sticks and faux chicken tenders as appetizers. Both were great. The mango habanero sauce is more sweet than spicy. But both the cheese and chicken tenders were wonderful. Our appetizer +, was the tequila vegan chili. We don't find veggie chili very often, but this was prepared with veggie chili, beans and soyrizo. It was wonderful. My wife chose the jackfruit Reuben sandwich. Those of us that are vegetarian, miss favorites like Reuben sandwiches. This jackfruit Reuben met the challenge. Delicious and plentiful. I had the Fierro burger with an impossible patty. Definitely not as spicy as I wanted, but delicious nonetheless. Lucky's was a fun place either way, great food, cold beer, lots of vegan options, and a friendly staff. Go there!

It has a Thai-style Marinade, with Peanut Butter, Fresh Cilantro, Cucumbers, Pickled Carrots, Jalapeños, and Sriracha Sauce. I've had peanut butter on burgers elsewhere but those are just a gimmick and don't have thought behind them. Thai food often has peanuts, so this combination makes sense and is fantastic! The restaurant itself is a bit of a hole in the wall. Nothing fancy but they have a lot of interesting and yummy sounding dishes, with many vegetarian and vegan options. I'd love to try other items but just can't pull myself away from The Cobra. They also have a good beer selection and the servers are friendly. Food came out quickly and several people checked in on us to make sure everything was good.

The menu rotates roughly every quarter, and given the use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, the selection is a bit limited -- handful of vegetarian small plates, a few meat and a few seafood options. For the non-drinkers, they had two non-alcoholic cocktails available, but no NA beer. Beware though, as the NA cocktails were still around $11, which I always find frustrating as they are basically flavored sugar water. We tried the blackhawk beef burger and koji-aged ribeye. The blackhawk burger was a smash burger (thin patties, melted cheese), that tasted delicious. The ribeye was just as expected and cooked as ordered. The star of each of the entrees, however, was the thin cut, crispy fries. Good thing the fries were delicious because the sauces that came with it were quite bland -- would've preferred ketchup. For dessert we tried the bay leaf cheesecake. It was alright, had a subtle smokey flavor that I think threw us off a bit (although that was obviously the point given the bay leaf). Our server Renee was friendly and everything was prompt. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and the food was pretty good. Although, given the limited number of options on the menu, you'll definitely want to look at it ahead of time to make sure there is something that suits your palate.

The moment we stepped in, the modern aesthetic hit perfectly - clean lines, mood lighting, and just enough buzz to feel energetic without drowning out conversation. Our family gathering was greeted immediately by staff who seemed genuinely stoked to have us there. Major points for making a large group feel welcome! The menu is refreshingly concise - none of that overwhelming novel-length situation that makes you second-guess yourself three times. Their drink selection strikes that perfect balance too - enough variety in wines/beers/cocktails to satisfy everyone. They've got some non-alcoholic options as well. We started with the Kimchi Pancake and Brussels Sprouts for the table. Not gonna lie, I was skeptical about the pancake (kimchi can be hit or miss for me), but this was a revelation. The kimchi flavor was present but not overwhelming - just enough kick that played perfectly with the shiso and wasabi remoulade. And those Brussels? It's packed with flavor and disappeared in approximately 3.5 seconds... Maybe less! For my main course, went with my cousin's recommendation - the Koji Aged Ribeye. When it arrived I initially thought "that's it?" But this steak is deceptive. The thick cut topped with Togarashi Butter was significantly more filling than it looked. Cooked to absolute perfection, and that butter situation on top? A flavor bomb of sweet-spicy-savory that had me contemplating licking the plate - don't worry, I didn't! My taste buds were begging for more even when my stomach waved the white flag. That's when you know it's good. If you're anywhere near downtown Dayton, make Jollity a priority stop. Not sure when I'll be back in Ohio again, but would definitely have this resto on my return list.

The potatoes were dry and flavorless. I actually had to add some milk to them and doctor them up once I got home to even make them somewhat edible. The noodles were over salted. I have hyponatremia, so I add salt to EVERYTHING. I couldn't have added salt to these noodles if I wanted to. Oh, and my root beer float was only half full. It was a great place when I was a kid. It's a shame what the new owners have done to the place!
